The Mercantile Wine and Goods is a unique shop that blurs the line between tasting room, wine bar, and purveyor of local food & goods. We showcase wines from 4 boutique Northwest wineries, small plate dishes made of locally sourced products, and wine related goods from, you guessed it, local artisans. Located in Bothell’s Country Village, our inviting space is perfect for a Friday night out, a weekend of wine tasting, or to buy an award winning bottle of locally produced wine. The Mercantile is even available for special events and private parties.

History

Established in 2012.

Sara Papanikolaou (Open Road Wine Co.) and Leigh Olson (O’Pair) envisioned a cooperative wine tasting room where garagistes and micro-​wineries could divide the effort and expenses needed to operate a dedicated storefront. With the help of their business partner husbands, a few months of hard work, and countless sleepless nights, their vision became a reality. The Mercantile Wine and Goods opened its doors to the public in June of 2012 providing one-​of-​a-​kind experience for local wine enthusiasts.
