Learn to Sing! I will work with your individual vocal needs by developing a suitable vocal technique. This means breathing, releasing the sound, getting an efficient, effective tone and extending the range where necessary. We will explore various vocal styles, musical theory, and improvisation too!

I also teach basic guitar, ukulele, bodhran, penny whistle, and Celtic Studies. I hold acting, and «preparing for an audition» workshops too! I am a certified Musikgarten teacher and now accept students ages 4 and up.

History

Established in 2009.

Teaching since 2002 while living in Victoria, BC.

Moved to Seattle in 2006 and began teaching a few students from home.

In 2009, officially quit day job to pursue teaching full time.

In 2010, began renting the Caboose in Country Village. It continues to be my happy home.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Roosevelt University in Chicago. During University, I performed with professional and community theatre companies. Upon graduation, I was offered a contract in Victoria, BC to sing at the World Famous Buchart Gardens with a well known Celtic band, Kitangus. My stay in British Columbia kick started my teaching career as well as prompted many other music projects. I have composed original music as well as performed on five CDs recorded, manufactured, and sold in Canada. Stateside, I have released over a dozen CDs. I am an award winning songwriter, a member of the Grammy Assoc., as well as a working musician. I have toured and taught throughout the US, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Poland, and Turkey.

I am a certified Musikgarten Teacher in Family Music for Babies and Toddlers, Cycles, and Music Makers.

I believe that everyone is musical.
