I absolutely love this place. I can’t plant much so what I buy is limited but they have it all and well priced at that. Coming here is like a visit to the secret garden. Friendly and helpful staff that eagerly try and help! And it’s so close to me!!!
A great place to come and get some of natures finest, I always prefer to support a small business that gives back to our community and Mel’s does all that.

We needed a bunch of compost delivered. We are within ½ mile of Pacific Topsoils and initially ordered 10ish yards of Cedar Grove from them, but after mulling over just how much it cost (the quote seemed a little high) I did some calling around, and the guy at Mel’s Place quoted me over $ 100 less (20+%) for the exact same Cedar Grove product. When I called PT to either cancel the order or have them price match, the guy was super rude, and that sealed the deal. I place the order with Mel’s Place. The driver showed up EXACTLY on time with half the load (we ordered 2 trucks full) and put it EXACTLY where we wanted it (in a tough spot). He came back within half an hour or so and deposited the second load once again exactly where we asked him to. They’re awesome, great prices, awesome customer service! I will DEFINITELY go to them FIRST for the rest of my compost/topsoil/mulch needs.
