Established in 2002.

Harley Exteriors is the home improvement company that residents of Seattle, Bothell, Everett, and any nearby area can trust to provide attractive, durable materials and reliable installers at an affordable price.

Since 2002, we’ve been installing custom replacement windows, as well as stone coated metal and asphalt shingle roofing, to homeowners in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout that time we’ve earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, an A rating with Angie’s List, and have been honored with the First Security Bank Achievement Award for outstanding customer service.

In the 1990s, Christian was plying his trade for another replacement windows and doors company in the Pacific Northwest. He recognized a market need for families who wished to enhance their homes but didn’t have the high disposable incomes to invest in expensive doors and windows. After a long search, Christian found a line of vinyl replacement windows and doors that offered both quality and affordability. He then established Harley Exteriors with the goal of providing Seattle area family homeowners with superior replacement windows and doors and excellent customer service at an affordable price. Harley Exteriors has since expanded to a staff of 50, but remains family-​owned and operates on the very same principles it did when it first started.

I don’t care if they sold their windows for $ 1, I would not buy from this company due to their aggressive sales tactics. I originally saw them at the UW street fair and set up an appointment for an «estimate». The salesman arrived and was very nice, but was at our house for THREE HOURS trying to push us into buying windows which were in my opinion, completely overpriced. He gave us an enormous quote, scribbled down on some notebook paper, then after we declined all the sudden the price dropped again (still overpriced though). The whole thing seemed so shady. At 11 pm, we finally got the guy to leave. They now continue to call me several times each week. After reading the other reviews on this company, I see I’m not the only one who went through this! When are companies going to realize that aggressive sales tactics are probably NOT the best way to get customers?
Harley, please stop calling me. I’m never buying your windows.

I would give them sub zero stars if possible. After finding out that they were trying to sell a$ 32,000 roof to a man with Alzheimer’s, they continued to pursue the contract. Totally ignored his POA instructions and treated his caregiver, who had all appropriate paperwork to authenticate the info, very poorly. I am disgusted with them. Turned them into BBB. Attorney General office also for senior fraud. WATCH OUT FOR THESE UNSCRUPULOUS PEOPLE.

My review was removed for some reason so here we go again. Started w. a young man knocking on our door. We set up an appt. sales guy came out. The windows are very expensive. We qualified for financing but didn’t know the financing company was putting a lien on the house to do so. we were told we qualified for money back from PSE (NOPE). We were to get a gift card for dinner for just listening to the sales pitch (NOPE) We were told by our sales person that the windows would be custom and fit with in an inch to provide room for the install material. We were told by the sales person that it would be up to CURRENT code. Our house was built in 67 and all the did was screw and put about 5 pound of caulk in each window. Looks like crap. they put no foam or vapor barrier was even and then just covered in caulk. The install looks like crap. I have pictures tons of spacers. Uneven pounds of caulk visible around every window. I was told I should just paint it. A total screw and glue. I was not happy with any of it and was threatened w/​a contractors lien on my house if I didn’t sign the paper work. google Harley Exterior complaints. Its an interesting read. I can say that the people who make the actual windows, i guess their supplier. Super nice folks. Have replaced broken windows without issue (but you have to call Harley to get them to call.) I hate the finished product. If you own an older home get it in writing. I feel like a bait and switch was done. I have pictures. YUCK

Can’t comment on their product or installation but the sales team they sent to my house was high pressured sales that couldn’t take no for an answer. They came back with 3 or 4 lower and lower numbers each time I said no and they started taking their samples out to their trucks. 3 hours of sales where I am trying to politely get them to leave was more then enough, I would look for any other company to do business with.

I will first state that the windows are beautiful, but it was quite the challenge to get them installed. Two bedroom windows cost $ 2,700, which was equivalent to about $ 900 more than what I paid to have a larger bedroom window installed two years earlier. However, I was willing to pay the higher price because of their lifetime guarantee.
What I would warn potential buyers is that the salesman did a hard sell, first quoting $ 4,000 for the two windows. The experience felt like a shady car dealership experience, as he called his boss twice, ran numbers, etc. to eventually come down to the $ 2,700. After their contractor came to measure, I received a call from someone at Harley, saying that because I had an older house, they would need to charge extra for the trim, over $ 300! Needless to say, I did NOT pay the extra, pointing out I had signed a contract for the previous amount. This was a two-​month process that took many phone calls and emails.
The good news is that the contractor did a wonderful job installing the windows so he could keep the original trim, and the windows are very nice, as promised.

We recently had windows installed throughout my whole house, from Harley Exteriors. We went with the Olympic Series euro vinyl windows in white and they are absolutely beautiful. The whole process went pretty smooth, the sales man was very professional, the installers were very quick and cleaned up everything when they were done and any time I had a question, the staff at the office were more than polite. Now every time I drive up to my home I am happy to see how updated and gorgeous these windows make my home look.
Another thing I am really happy about is the fact that there is a lifetime transferrable warranty. Normally I wouldn’t think about something like this, but I plan on selling my home in the next 5 years and upgrading to a bigger place to start a family with my fiancé. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the price was a little bit higher than what I was looking to pay, but in the end was totally worth it. I highly recommend Harley if you are looking to replace any windows in your home.
I will be calling them again when I move into my new home!

I first came across Harley Exteriors at a Home & Garden show, and signed up for an estimate appointment through them. The thing I loved most about the windows from the beginning was the fact that the windows tilted out or came out of the frame completely for easy cleaning and could be put back in with ease and security. It’s nice to see a family own company that has been around 12 years and offers such a great product, that they back with a lifetime guarantee.

The sales rep was very nice and non-​pushy and then the installation team was very clean and treated my home with respect. When they left you would not have known they were there other than the beautiful new windows. The windows not only look great they have reduced our heating bill and keep the house much cooler on the hot days. On top of all of that they gave us a double lifetime warranty. I have to believe that will help us sell the house if we ever decide to. I give them an A+and would do business with them again.

Signed up for an in home estimate at the Seattle Remodeling Show January 2014. I wanted windows ASAP due to moving into an older home that was just purchased and we needed to update. The woman balked when I said the other homeowner couldn’t be there for the appointment I set up, then called the boss to see if an exception could be made and I was assured that they only do bids if all homeowners are present. Thanks but no, that just isn’t going to happen. That was a big red flag, and now that I see what other Unilocalers have posted, I see why. I felt insulted and went elsewhere. I got other bids and will be installing my 6 – 7 grand worth of windows soon! Being over 60 and female I thought maybe they were just being discriminatory. Today, 3 weeks later, they called to try to set up an appointment AGAIN with all of the homeowners present. Glad they did, because I got the name of their business which I hadn’t remembered.

Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!!! They will do anything to get you to sign there contract and once you do you can not get out of it. They give you 3 days to cancel without penalty. It took us longer than that to get financing and when we were not approved for the $ 20k loan for the windows we tried to cancel. They said that we could pay 25% of the total cost or they would put a lien on our house. I contacted my lawyer and he said that we were «hoodwinked.» He said this company is a scam and they worded their contract in a way that we would have had to pay the full amount regardless of financing. Our salesman, Nate, flat out told us that if we couldn’t get financing then we could cancel our contract. When I called to talk to the owner, Christian, he told me that he had already paid Nate his commission. Do you know why? Because he knew he would be getting his money. His shady company and their jargon filled contract guarantees it! I will be contacting all news channels and consumer support agencies to let them know about this company. I may be out $ 4k but I will make sure that no one else I know gives Harley their business.

We had Harley Exteriors replace all our windows (7 windows for about 9K) with their Olympic series windows over a year ago. The house was about 30 years old with single pane aluminum windows. As you can imagine, the upgrade made the house noticeably more comfortable, quieter, and better looking. Price felt a bit high, but throughout the process, there was good communication concerning what would be done and when.
The day of the installation, a crew of two came out around 9am, and finished everything by about 1pm. They were very nice and cleaned up everything afterwards (left a few very small metal pieces in the grass, but that happens).
So far, I’m quite pleased with the windows.

A salesman came by today pushing the energy efficiency schtick. Nearly desperate to get an appointment for someone to come over and do a bid. Asked for business cards: «no, they don’t give those to us.» What about a brochure? «No, they don’t give us those either. So when can we schedule an appointment next week?» The pushing for an appointment continued for a few more minutes despite my telling him I didn’t appreciate pushy sales tactics. When I asked him to leave, lo and behold, he produced a brochure.
At some point, perhaps sales managers will realize that this type of sales training actually dissuades prospects from choosing Harley.

Had the same experience as Nathalie. We were just starting to get quotes for a new roof and wanted a ballpark figure. Instead, our over-​the-​top, pushy sales guy proceeded to educate and steer us towards a «no-​brainer» decision on spot after writing down vague numbers and showing us faded bad print outs of supplier warranties and their company motto all stuffed in clear 3 ring binder sleeves. It was like Amway for roofs. When restated we were just collecting quotes, the price mysteriously dropped twice within five minutes, down a total of $ 5,000, after giving us a guilt trip that another trip to our house would cost the company money. Isn’t that part of the biz? And, what is this job really worth? On top of that, he didn’t leave a business card or any literature. Maybe they have done good work, but any honest business would respect taking time to make a decision. If I’m going to spend 20k on a new roof, you can be damned sure I’m going to check around and take my time to decide. And it sure ain’t gonna be with this company!
