This place has gone out of business. A new Thai restaurant is in the location and the menu has suspiciously non-​Thai dishes. General Tso’s Chicken. Really?

LOVE the Won Ton soup with BBQ pork. There best dish by far. I usually get this when sick. But no more. They ware closed. :(There is a Thai restaurant in its place.

I just called to order, and Fortune Cookie has closed and become a Thai restaurant. Sad.

A coworker and I have gone to this restaurant quite a few times. Friday will be the last time we will go to this place. As we were finishing up our meal, my coworker found half a mosquito in her fried rice. When we alerted the waitress, she offered to bag up the remaining non-​mosquito fried rice for my friend. No offer for a refund, or anything else. Non sincere apology. Needless to say, we will not be spending anymore of our money at this joint. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I loooooove the orange chicken and chowmein… idrive from everett… service and looks eh… but pretty dang good

Food was not edible. Sorry we won’t be back.

i found this place on Unilocal and i decided to try it out. it was clean, the food was really good, and the people were friendly i will be back.
the only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is beause i wasnt a fan of their chowmein. :(

You will find the usual fare at this strip mall Chinese restaurant. However, our dishes were surprisingly lacking in flavor.
We ordered the sweet and sour and the Szechwan chicken. Both served with soup, fried rice, and a spring roll.
The soup had little flavor and was gelatinous from all the corn starch. The fried rice was the most disappointing. Just white rice doused with soy sauce. The spring roll consisted of coarsely chopped cabbage and lots of black pepper. The Szechwan chicken was covered in this brown soy «gravy.»
On the plus side, they used white meat chicken in both dishes and you could tell that they were made fresh.
I just think they need some help in the preparation of these dishes… or add more seasonings and hold up on all the soy sauce on everything.

I had been looking for decent Chinese food for a few months when I stumbled up on this place and I gotta tell you, the food is great! Everything I have tried is with out a doubt delicious. I usually chow down on fried rice and Mongolian beef and I have yet to be disappointed. If you’re cruising around Canyon park, stop in you’ll be glad you did! They also offer delivery service and the staff are super nice people.

I was hesitant about trying out the family dinner but was actually quite pleased. $ 19.95 for two entrees (between you and whoever else is with you) comes along with your choice of soup, 6 pork slices, 2 spring rolls and pork fried rice. We got General Tso’s Chicken and Chicken Cashew. Absolutely delicious and more than enough food.
As for the service, it was good. Felt a little rushed, but she was nice. The restaurant was empty when we got there so things were eerily silent and a bit stiff. Up to you to make of it what you will. Although the place was relatively empty there was a lot of take-​out.
Surprised that the Unilocal ratings don’t match up to Urbanspoons.
Overall, I liked this place and LOVED their food.

Excellent food and super fast service! I took my daughter there for lunch and the atmosphere was great for a quick bite of good food!

While I continue to come back for the awesome Singapore noodles, on Fridays, the Cookie features dim sum for lunch, and although they dont wheel around big steam carts like the bigger dim sum places, I think its just as good and in some cases better than most, and probably the only place in Bothell/​Woodinville offering it! The gai lan is well prepared too, chicken wings awesome, along with your usual shu mai, shrimp balls, sticky rice, hum bao, etc. I like it all. And super friendly service.

After eating at Fortune Cookie a couple times, my family doesn’t head to the ID anymore for Dim Sum. Which is a feat since we have to drive nearly half an hour up there. Although its in a strip mall, and although its menus are mostly entrees, their dim sum is tasty without the excessive pricing in Seattle.
You get a piece of paper to place your orders, so you don’t have to wait for the carts like most places. Also, its cooked only when you want it. The dumplings (har gow and siu mai) are much bigger here, but the taste is slightly less powerful. The pork spareribs, and especially their fried dumplings (ham sui gok) is unparalleled. Hot and crispy right from the fryer, yet people still settle on ones that have been circulating on carts.
On a side note, their tea is blech, but thats not the important stuff. Food also takes a little while to come out, but when it does, almost everything else is done soon after.
Quiet little restaurant, good portions, and fresh, hot dishes. Will continue to make my trek back up here whenever the craving comes.

I don’t particularly like writing bad reviews. Everyone has a bad day and I always try to remember that, but I think this does deserve a 1. Strike 1: We went to eat at 5pm and there were only 2 other people there, but it took 40 minutes for my husbands General Tao’s chicken to come out, and we actually left after an hour before I even got my food. Strike 2: The food was terrible. The wonton soup was cold, the potstickers were really gross — not really hot, and you could tell they had freezer burn. Strike 3: With an hour having gone by, and me still not getting my food, a table of 4 came in. No kidding, they got 4 meals within 10 minutes. They were obviously friends of the owners and as we (and the other table that was there before us) stared at them in amazement, we just decided to pay for what we had and leave.
It was the worst chinese restaurant experience Ive ever had.

We usually go to Bamboo House but we noticed this Chinese restaurant for the first time so decided to go here.
We ordered Mongolian Beef since I’ve never had it before and this fried rice that isn’t on the menu. It is chicken with salted fish and lettuce. It’s one of my favorite fried rice dishes but not sure if it’s for everyone. The salted fish is something I grew up eating so have gotten used to the taste.
Thought the prices were reasonable and service was quick. Food was overall very good. Surprised that it wasn’t busier. Definitely a hidden gem in the area.
Giving it a 4 since we didn’t rally expect much when we walked in and definitely exceeded our expectations.
We’ll be back!

Fortune Cookie is one of the three Chinese restaurants in close proximity to me. It is located in a strip mall next to Bamboo House, and is across the street from both Imperial Wok and PC Chinese Restaurant. The food is pretty standard fare, and the main selling point is that they deliver locally, and quickly.
The Spicy chicken is awesome as finger food, the wonton soup on the other hand is STRANGE often with peas and carrots, and either shrimp or BBQ pork, but no option to choose which.

Really not much to complain about here and lots to love, selection could be a little bigger but all my dim sum favorites are here and done well. Do NOT skip the scallion pancakes, definitely awesome.
Best kept dim sum secret in Bothell, service is friendly every time we come here and our boys love the scallion pancakes. Wife loves the Fried Stuffed dumplings. Very decently priced too, good alternative to Harbor City in the international district.

I love this place! It’s in a strip mall and a little odd that there’s barely any furniture in there, but great lunch menu and great tasting food!
I had the chicken with broccoli and the fiancé had beef chow mein… and both were really good! It wasn’t too greasy and the portions were hearty. I especially love the hot and sour soup… for those who read my reviews, you know this is a big thing for me. :)
The spring rolls that came with the lunch special were the only thing that I didn’t love… not sure what it was about them, but they weren’t great.
Otherwise, a cute little secret spot that you are bound to love.

Came here with my fiancé + family to grab a bite to eat before we ventured out to Seattle on our vacation trip. I’m Chinese AND I’m from San Francisco (fiancé + family from Hong Kong) so our expectations were high. We were here on Friday morning for their dim sum.
We had the usual: shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, chicken feet, beef rice noodle roll, tofu skin roll, custard tart, fried sesame ball, fried stuff dumpling. We also tried their Chinese broccoli. WOW, we were all amazed at how fresh everything was! The shrimp dumpling was especially good! It was big (unlike many upscale pretentious Chinese restaurants) and STUFFED with lots of fresh shrimp and seasoned perfectly. YUM! Their dim sum menu is not the most comprehensive but hey, they have everything we usually order and they did a darned good job!
Service was great and the tea was great, too! (I LOVE tea!!) By 12pm, the place was almost packed but the small staff was very efficient and refilled my tea quickly and not the least bit annoyed that I kept wanting refills. =)
We chatted with the super friendly husband & wife team and found that they were from Oakland, across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco! Sounded like they have a lot of experience with Chinese food and it showed in their food.
I wanted to come back to try other things on their menu but we couldn’t squeeze dinner into our busy schedule. Too bad. Maybe next time when I stay in Bothell again. Worth checking out, especially for dim sum.

I was highly impressed by my first visit and will write an update after I get a chance to try Fortune Cookie a couple more times for better accuracy! I’m currently not eating sugar, so it greatly restricts the things I could eat off the menu.
I met my boyfriend for lunch here. The lunch prices are extremely affordable. They all start out with a cup of soup. I had the hot and sour, which was the best hot and sour I have had in a long time. I really can’t think of any place around here that I’ve had better. It had tofu, mushrooms, and was perfectly balanced in flavor and seasoning. It was also very spicy, which I love.
My meal consisted of steamed veggies and chicken with brown rice. I was extremely happy that they gladly substituted this as a lunch special, with no annoyance or questions asked. I was super stoked that they even gave the option of brown rice, not something you typically find at Chinese joints around here. I was sad to have to give my delicious looking egg roll to my honey. He gladly ate it and said that it was one of the best egg rolls he’s ever had. We suspect they make everything from scratch here.
The service was friendly and fast. The menu offers a very large choice of items, including delicious looking dim-​sum. Their honey walnut prawns also looked divine. I can’t wait to return to try some of my favorite Chinese dishes to see how Fortune Cookie fares!
