I have never been disappointed when coming here. It is a little while in the wall located in country village. They’re not trying to impress you with a fancy establishment, and they don’t need to — the food speaks for itself! All of the meats are delicious. And yes, I have tried every single one. The owner stands outside grilling on a great big grill and is the happiest friendliest man! All of the sides are delicious, and they have beer and wine! Who doesn’t love brisket, mac&cheese, and a ice cold beer?

I have always wanted to try a real American BBQ joint and when I was told about this place I jumped at the opportunity. I ordered the combo 2 which had brisket, hotlinks and pulled pork. It came with my choice of side to which I went for some cornbread. We weren’t waiting long for our food which was great because i was eager to eat it. There was no one when we arrives so we got to choose from many tables on where we wanted to eat. We got out food and boy was I loving it. It looked delicious and smelt amazing. The bun was crispy and juicy, the brisket was moist and delicious and the pulled pork was super tasty. There were no word spoken while we ate which is always a good sign. I got through half my large sandwich and I went for the cornbread. The cornbread was so good, sweet and fluffy and mouth wateringly good. My mouth is watering thinking about it. I got a box for the other half of my sandwich to which I enjoyed later on that evening. To say the least it was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Plus it kept me full and going for the whole day and knowing I had the other half of my sandwich to enjoy later on that day made it even better!

I’d totally forgotten that I had dinner here once and was less than impressed. I placed an order tonight for pickup and received an email that our order would be ready in 10 – 35 minutes. We headed out and planned to just wait if we got there before the order was done, and after ten minutes we got a call from a third party(Eat24) saying they were out of tri-tip sandwich… and mac and cheese… and wings. So out of everything from our order, they had corn bread. Thankfully they let me cancel and it was then that I remembered I’d eaten there before — so we dodged a bullet.

Amazing bbq! Delicious southern yummyness. We came on super bowl Sunday and they were packed but we received the best service. The owner is super freindly and makes the most scrumptious shrimp and grits! Highly recommend.

Wanted to try this place out after seeing on Evening magazine since I live in Woodinville. Had a craving for some BBQ ribs. Didnt like how strong the vinegar in the BBQ sauce was. I ended up not eating it. The ribs were cooked nicely but they had a taste to them that I didnt like. Not sure if it was what they were cooked with or not but didnt like them. Was very disappointed.

First, let me say that I have been to many a barbecue establishments all over the United States prior to this one. And this place is mediocre at best. Second, how discouraging is it to have the owner of the establishment complaining about how many customers he has? That is what I encountered when I went. Additionally, this negativity is soaked in by the staff members who also complain about having too many customers. And third, when the menu says that you will receive four pieces of cornbread(which once again was mediocre) and you only receive one piece it shows the lack of attention to detail in which only a poorly managed establishment has. Further, when you pay for the«premium» sides, you only receive a 5.6 ounce serving of very bland macaroni and cheese. So, save your money and for the Evening Magazine to rate this what they rated this, that individual needs to get fired. Let’s face it, there are no good barbecue establishments within the Pacific Northwest.

I liked this place. Small, clean and cozy inside. We had pulled pork sandwiches and brisket sandwiches. The meat was a little dry, but we liked the ability to choose what sauce we wanted and how much we wanted on it. I had a really good cornbread muffin that was moist and delicious. Looking forward to trying new stuff here.

Food is very good… customer service is HORRIBLE. Girl who answered the phone is a BLATANTLIAR. She told me that Dave Hayward(Owner) was not in, and I knew he was as we just left there. When I told her that I knew he was, she seemed very dumbfounded that she was caught lying.

Love this place! We ordered for a holiday lunch at work today and it was awesome. I emailed our order a week ago and made several changes along the way, all my changes were met with a positive«of course we can do that» attitude. Our order was spot on, got exactly what we ordered. The food was excellent, meat was tender and full of flavor, hot links had a very nice kick to them. Will definitely go back!

Delicious food, reminds me of when I lived in the south! Their brisket and pulled pork is top notch especially with the cole slaw. The sweet tea isn’t terrible.

This is the BESTBBQ around! We won’t go anywhere else! Nothing compares to Dave’s cooking! We have used Him to cater like 95% of our events in the last 5years and every time everything has been on point and our guests leave extremely happy and can’t stop talking about this place!

This restaurant serves the mother of all brisket sandwiches! I can’t speak on the rest of the BBQ because I only ever order the brisket sandwich but I’m sure it is all just as spectacular as the sandwich is. This restaurant is nestled in a small little shopping village on the side of Bothell-Everett Highway in Bothell. Make sure you visit Carolina Smoke BBQ last though because after your done eating here, you won’t want to do much walking. The place is large and can accommodate a lot of people indoors and out. They have a nice big screen tv so it’s a good place to catch a Seahawks game too. They even cater but get on the list early because you won’t want them to be booked up when your event rolls around. Their brisket is unlike any other that I’ve ever had before. The meat is cooked to absolute perfection. It is sliced thick and served on a fresh roll. That’s it! You can add your own sauce however you like it or have it just the way it is. Either way, I know you’ll be blown away by the amazing flavor. Thanks for reading.

We went there on the evening of 8÷27÷2015 and ordered the Build Your Own Platter tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork & ribs and added the ½ chicken. To sum it up… most of the meats were dry… the ribs were ok, the rest, we’re just dry meats in a styrofoam container. The service was dismal, the girl behind the counter looked irritated. Never going back…

I WANTSOBADLYTOLOVETHISPLACE! I feel awful leaving 3 stars but it just didn’t measure up in any way. :( I had a pulled pork sandwich. The meat was ok but dry. The sauce wasn’t that flavorful, not even the«hot» one. It left me flat. The owner is SUCH a nice man. I liked the seating area outside as it was a nice cool day under the tarp area, the music was fantastic, the service was friendly but the food was lacking. I will likely give them a 2nd chance because they are close to home, because the owner IS so friendly & I believe in 2nd chances in life, in general. Maybe give it a try & judge for yourself. For me… it was not a memorable experience.

I’ve been coming here off-and-on for several years. Depending on the staff, the food is great or middling. The service is great or you are ignored, although, it’s worth a try, if the odds are in your favor, the food will be great, the brisket will be have a fantastic flavor, the pulled pork will be moist, juicy and full of flavorful. Try the lemon cake, the sweet cornbread, both are excellent. I don’t mean to degrade this business, but having been here 20+ times, I’ve seen too much variability in quality to give them a higher rating.

One of the worst BBQ I’ve had. Pulled pork and was so dry. Brisket was better but won’t win any competitions. Beans were inedible. Mac and Cheese? That’s where a line was crossed. That’s not mac and cheese. If you don’t use elbow pasta, I question the authenticity. Penne pasta doesn’t cut it guys. Sorry so negative. I expected so much more.

Arguably the best BBQ in Washington, only Ranch House in Shelton is close. The ribs were magnificently hi quality meat and perfectly smoked. The corn muffins were moist and tasty. The patato salad was good. Their signature apple sauce is sweet, so make sure you mix it with their spicy sauce if you like a more bold flavor. I go straight spicy sauce and its delicious. It’s the epitome of road side smokehouse with mismatched furniture, basic utensils and sister decorations. I absolutely love this place.

The brisket was amazing! Ribs were fall of the bone tender. The pulled pork seemed dry, but the BBQ sauce was tasty. Service was not very friendly. We got take out, and she seemed cranky, and she messed up our cornbread order. Fast service though.

Brisket. I keep thinking about that brisket. So good. Sauces are gluten free. Do the sandwich platter and have them hold the bun. You still get about a ½ pound of meat and a side, instead of ordering things separately(and more expensively).

I got the half rack of ribs and my husband got the pulled pork. He said his was good and mine was ok. He mentioned the cornbread wasn’t that good and wouldn’t get it again though. My ribs were decent and juicy but lacked flavor. The location is also weird — it’s in the country village which is full of shops where I expect you might find lots of «LOVELIVELAUGH» signs and there were some elderly people singing karaōke uncomfortably close to the bbq place. I probably wouldn’t go back.

O… M…G… This is the best BBQ I have found in Washington. After having spend some time in the South and being spoiled with many delicious BBQ establishmets to choose from, I found it very hard to find a good one here in WA. The prices are quite fair too. I mean I ordered a sampler for $ 17, which included 4 quarter pound meat selections and 2 sides. I couldn’t of course just pick two, so I ended up ordering 2 more & some sweet teas. Anyhow, the amount of food received for the price was definitely fair in my eyes and the food was great. We ordered tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs; cornbread, greens, bbq beans, and coleslaw. My only hiccup was that the brisket was a tad to dry… but not enough to make me give it less than 5 stars. Awesome job Carolina Smoke! Will most certainly be coming back!

The bad news: their sauces are not that great. The good news: the meat is so good you won’t need any sauce on it. Been here a few times and I’ve sampled the brisket, tri-tip, pulled pork, ribs, and hot links. All very good, but the brisket is the star of the show. Great crust, super tender, and just delicious. Not a fan of their sauce though. Way too much vinegar for me. I’m not a big believer in drowning great BBQ in sauce anyway, so it’s not a deal breaker for me. Price and service are fine. Parking is adequate, with lots of space available at the nearby country store place.

This place is alright. I like that they use baby back ribs instead of the spare ribs, which are meatier. The flavor of their food is fine but I don’t get any smoke flavor in the meat, which for me, is a must have for a good bbq place. I will say the apple butter bbq sauce is really good. Sides are good. I usually go with beans or broccoli slaw. Steer clear of the cornbread, it’s been dry every time I’ve had it. Prices are fair for what you get.

A group of 14 dined here on a Friday night and everybody was extremely happy. Free parking can be found within Country Village. Major credit cards are accepted. Reservations are accepted and it’s a good idea to provide David with a guesstimate of what meats will be ordered so that there isn’t a shortage. Tabs are easily split since orders are placed and paid for at the counter. Seating and décor is very laid back: utility style tables with plastic chairs outside under a tent in the front of the restaurant, homey mismatched tables inside(too hot for me inside) and cute little bistro tables on the back outside deck. Stemware is all plastic. Food is served on/in disposable dishware. There are ample moist towelettes on the tables to help with sticky fingers(BBQ and sticky fingers go hand in hand). We were told that on Saturday nights live Blues is offered for ones entertainment pleasure. Love that! Beer and wine is offered. Our table ordered a few pitcher’s of Men’s Room Ale by Elysian Brewing Company. Love local brew! For my meal I ordered: Pulled Pork Sandwich & one free side(I chose the jalapeño cornbread) for $ 9. The sandwich is absolutely huge and piled high with tender pulled pork. There were a few different tasty BBQ sauce options on the table to dress our sandwiches with. The cornbread was also big, moist, and sweet with just the right amount of heat form the jalapenos. I also ordered a couple of sides: Baked Beans for $ 2 — about 1 ½ cups of pure heaven, served steaming hot. Collard Greens for $ 2 — about 1 cup of tasty not overly salty greens — seasoned just right. Smoked Mac-n-Cheese for $ 2 — about 1 cup. Since I’m not a macaroni fan I wasn’t surprised that I didn’t care for this macaroni too much. I wouldn’t order again, not that it was horrible, it’s just that I don’t care for macaroni and cheese. Two Hot Links for $ 3 each. Had to order another link since the first one was so damn good. Thank you David for your Southern hospitality. My group loved your establishment, food, drink and you’re friendly personality. Thank you for making us all feel at home. See you in the future for some Blues!
