Highly recommend Sonny and his crew! We stumbled upon their garage and were pleasantly surprised. They got us in and out quickly and they were professional, polite and reasonably priced. All of our questions were answered and appreciated their attentiveness and going out of their way to help us.

Took my Toyota there because they are close to my home and because they are «specialist». Spent $ 1100 getting brake work done front and back and some bearings rebuilt. It should have been as red flag when the test drive after the work took 25 minutes and the guy doing the test drive told me that I had to brake easy for the first 50 stops. But I took the car. Immediately after we went downtown Seattle. There was a lot of traffic on the way and had to keep my foot on the brake a good part of the way. After keeping slight pressure on the brake the feeling I lost power brakes happened consistently. I could still get the car to stop but significantly harder than before the work was done. As ewe parked the car the attendant pointed out my front headlight was out, it had worked fine the night before. So after the work was completed and after $ 1100 dollars my car is in worse condition than before I had it worked on. If it was just one thing that wasn’t working I wouldn’t write this but when there are multiple new issues and the repair facility was lobbing me to do more work, and lastly I don’t believe in coincidences I would say don’t go here. Take your Toyota to Toyota. I don’t feel these guys were «Specialist».

Saw the great reviews on Unilocal and decided to try them out. Took my 2008 Scion XB for an oil change and check up. Excellent customer service and competitive pricing. The mechanics are very honest about what is going with your car. They don’t push services on you. They let you know what needs to be replaced and what can wait! So thankful for these guys!!!

Good service, clean and kind staff. I’ve watched them change my oil often they are through and definitely do the full included inspection (check tires, check brake pad thickness, etc). Customer service is really good, and they are careful to ensure you know what to expect before you pay. If anything comes up they call and ask you for permission before repairs are done (this is an industry standard and should be followed). All the techs are industry certified and definitely know their stuff. I had a lower valve cover gasket (6 hour job) on my Camry v6 that needed to be replaced. Due to the design this means disturbing and removing the throttle body, intake manifold, etc. to get to replacing the lower valve cover gasket (mine was leaking oil and I didn’t have time for a jig saw puzzle). So basically you’re replacing a ton of gaskets (its 93k miles. it’s an expected item to replace by this mileage). I came in and had them do the job, roughly $ 700.00 out the door (I asked to include a tune up on the order) and it was done the next day (I wasn’t in a hurry to get the car back). No more smelly oil leaks and it runs great.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I almost ended up not purchasing a very good condition used car because of them. A place that calls itself «Toyota specialists» could not figure out how to remove the back seats in a Sienna. I had taken that car for a pre purchase inspection to these guys as they were close to the dealer. They said seat back seems jammed and may be a costly repair. They also said a few other things were potentially not in good shape. They never bothered to pull up the car’s records to see that all major service had been done on the car.
I took back the car to the dealer and they were able to remove the seat in less than 60 seconds. The dealer also gave me a 30 day guarantee, so I went with my judgement and purchased the car. Next day I took it to my usual mechanic and the car checked out perfectly fine.
I usually go to places with 4 star reviews or more and that is how I chose to go to Bothell Toyota «Specialists». I was very disappointed by this place and certainly would not trust my Toyota to these guys ever!

Upfront, honest business. They stand behind their work and can be trusted to take care of your vehicle and only do work that’s necessary. Would recommend.

Great service, competitive pricing and friendly staff. Did my belts for me and took the time to ensure the pulley’s were inspected, cleaned, and no squeaks. They stand behind their work 100% and had the car ready fairly quickly. I’ll be back for sure! I would recommend that if you need any mechanical work (not just on Toyota’s) that you give these guys a chance, you won’t go anywhere else after that!

Great work. I purchased a used 4Runner that had 90,000 miles on it. As a V8, these need a new timing belt every 90k-​100k miles. I simply didn’t have time to do the work myself, but have never taken any of my vehicles to a shop as I just don’t trust them. Bothell Toyota Specialists changed that. I called and told them I was looking at purchasing a car the next day, and immediately wanted a new timing belt in it. They were more than accommodating and sure enough I took my car straight from the sale to their shop.
They earned my trust, which has been non-​existent for automotive shops, when they called and asked about the cam seals. I had been waiting for this call as I know it’s a normal thing to change during a timing belt replacement, but I also know this particular engine makes it no easy step to do and actually involves quite a bit more work than usual. They told me essentially the same thing and I had them hold off. No pressure, no problems.
Had my car back the next day, new timing belt sticker with mileage recorded and all. They took care of all I expected them to (thermostat, water pump, serpentine belt, etc., with my permission) and even gave the car a once over for me (I asked them to, since it was a new vehicle) and gave me a list of things they noticed, but did not pressure me to have additional work done. All this was done for about $ 50 less than any other shop or Toyota dealer quoted me.
Bottom line, as a person who doesn’t like taking my cars to shops and believes they take advantage of people, I would take my vehicles here in confidence. I never had to let them know what I knew to avoid gouging or ridiculous diagnoses, and their customer service, technical expertise, pricing, general attitude, and lack of pressuring were the best I’ve seen. For the first time, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND an auto shop, Bothell Toyota Specialists, to everyone. Thank you.

Needed brake adjustments and a few small details and was done after a little shopping and lunch nearby. Brakes are good and will be back because these guys are honest enough to share technical knowledge detail on many makes and model cars. I will come back to this shop and consider it useful information for me and my clients, we agree that it is always better to speak in person before starting an auto repair process. Reading the other reviews look to be precise in what this shop can perform. Common rule is to shop around first before committing into any repair.

I have been here numerous times, Sonny and his staff are the best in this area! One of the benefits of going here is that they allow you to bring your own parts if you so desire, few shops let you do that. Pricing is on par with shops in the area and they stand behind their work 100% I’ve let them do everything from oil changes to swapping a engine and changing the clutch on my 1993 Celica. They recently installed a new high performance exhaust on my 1991 MR2 also. I cannot recommend them enough, very honest, gets the job done, and reasonable prices. Here’s a big thanks to Sonny and his staff.

Great service, fast, and accommodating. I’ve been taking my car to the dealer for the past few years (only because of warranty) but once that ran out… I hightailed it out of there. This place had far more reasonable prices and are much more accommodating. I work 9 hour days and scheduling with the dealer was always 2 weeks out… but here I called and got next day service.
It’s also nice cause this place is located near a little shopping complex so if you’re not a fan of waiting, there’s stuff to shop for around.

Suzy and I luv these guys. After years of paying dealer prices for service for our two Lexus’, we are getting the same high-​quality service for ¹⁄₃^rd the cost. They are efficient, well-​run, and pleasant to deal with. We need a sixth star for this shop.

Despite the name they do actually work on cars other than Toyota’s as they were able to figure out why my engine light was on and fix my Nissan Altima. Plus, it’s in a mall so for quick things like an oil change you can totally call ahead and drop off your car then go to lunch and pick it up when you’re done. Note that does depend on how busy they are…
Anyway, great service and I really did feel like they were very honest and up front with me which is key anytime you’re dealing with cars.

Another great review for Bothell Toyota Specialists. The location is located right off of Bothell Everett Hwy, by Safeway and behind Dairy Queen. The service at this shop is fantastic. It is very clear that this shop is serious about providing quality work, great service and decent prices. Sonny was very polite, friendly and appeared to love his job.
I appreciate the fact that they called me to verify I knew my CRV required synthetic oil and what the cost would be out the door. I already knew this prior to call, but really appreciate they wanted to make sure I knew what the price would be before they completed any work.
The lobby is rather small and older looking, so I advise if you are waiting for your car to just go over to Dairy Queen, get a soda and enjoy free soda refills while you wait for your car to be done…
All in all though a great oil change!

The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and they won’t charge you an arm and your firstborn for excellent service.
The appointment website is definitely a plus so you can plan ahead. Most shops in the area force you to call them and they schedule you some vague time frame and then make you wait for two hours.
Awesome experience. If my car breaks down again (I hope not), I’ll be come back here!
