Winston Flowers has been a purveyor of fine floral artistry since 1944. Immersed in a heritage of tradition and innovation, we’ve since grown to specialize in world-class floral design, weddings, special events, garden design, corporate services and unique home décor. Through our six retail shops in Massachusetts and newest shop in Greenwich, CT, we offer our services to New England, Manhattan, Fairfield and Westchester counties and beyond – inviting our clients to experience flowers through interactive, living galleries of color and beauty.
Since our origins, we’ve chosen to source flowers directly from local farms and the best global growers to ensure our clients receive the most exclusive and rare product in the floral marketplace. At the heart of it all, we remain most invested in the lifelong relationships we form with our clients, which oftentimes span generations and families. Our goal at Winston Flowers is to make your everyday world beautiful and your once-in-a-lifetime moments unforgettable.
History
Established in 1944.
When Robert Winston and his teenaged son Maynard first wheeled their pushcart of flowers onto Boston’s fashionable Newbury Street in 1944, they could not have foreseen that this humble enterprise would flourish and grow into a widely-respected Boston institution.
It was Maynard Winston who helped the business evolve from pushcart to premier florist. Under his guidance, Winston Flowers made its name in Boston as a trendsetting Newbury Street boutique with the best designers and a blue-chip clientele. Acting on a tip from a Dutch employee, Maynard was also the first to import flowers directly, delighting Bostonians with exotic new varieties of freesias, lilacs and tulips flown in from Holland exclusively for Winston Flowers.
Today, our third-generation family-owned company is one of the nation’s most highly regarded florists, with a worldwide online presence and six shops in and around Boston – including the one right where it all began, on Newbury Street.
