History

Established in 1984.

When Gary Welsh founded Welsh Consulting in 1984, corporate computer systems could take up an entire room and applications were limited to number-​crunching and word processing.

What began as a one-​man band soon grew to a small cadre of technical consultants operating out of Gary’s apartment. In 1991, Welsh Consulting established its first official corporate headquarters in downtown Boston. As the industry has evolved, Welsh Consulting has evolved with it.

Over the years, several things have stayed constant — a Boston-​based headquarters to ensure seamless service to our downtown clients, a staff with impeccable credentials and a positive attitude, and the aspiration to be the premier computer consulting firm in the greater Boston area.
