Went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. Had pizza which was good and service was great throughout the night. I def recommend coming here!

Terrible service. Came in during the specials they were having for the st. Paddys day crawl and the server said she didn’t have any — the website states specials until 2am?! We asked her to double check because that was the opposite of what they website said; she comes back saying«no» again. Within 5 minutes another waitress puts the special menu down with the ones we had asked for?! Then she makes an excuse to why the other(rude and brainless) waitress had no idea they had specials. She then proceeds to tell us that all of the special drinks are terrible. Ok — I was a server and never would have said that to a customer. Also, the drink I got was good(probably not the price she would have wanted us to spend but I see right through you!!). After getting our orders, we didn’t see the waitress ever again. Took an extra 20 minutes for us to get our checks after speaking to the manager(of which the checks were incorrect.) Completely incompetent and no one was apologetic. After working in food service, I’ve never treated anyone like that and I’m embarrassed for their establishment — so unprofessional.

(+) Good cocktails. Is not super-crowded like other nearby spots. (-) I would actually prefer if they didn’t have TVs; it’s distracting. The veggie burger patty has egg in it(sorry, vegans). Stingy amount of chips & guac for the price. (?) Apparently this place turns into a dance club late at night? Didn’t stick around long enough to witness it.

Bad attitude. Bad service. Overpriced wine. Not sure anyone there really knows what they’re doing. Won’t go back.

For the first time, our group at work came to Vanderbilt for a celebratory lunch last week. We waited nearly an hour for our food and once it came, we were missing at least 25% of our order. It wouldn’t be bad if our waiter acknowledged us but she avoided eye contact the entire time while we sat there with no water. No food. Nothing. By the time it came we had to go back to work so we rushed away(after paying the 20% tip that was conveniently added). It’s a shame that the experience was so bad because we work nearby but we will not be back.

This place presents itself as a classy establishment when in reality it is anything but. Let me preface this by saying I’ve only gone during University of Florida football game watch«parties» and other SEC conference-related happy hours, never for the Friday/Saturday nightclub experience. I started going in 2014 when it was The Vault, and it has actually gone down in quality since then. I do appreciate that on game days, we can order from a full menu rather than what The Vault offered us, which was just a few appetizers. But the prices at Vanderbilt are ridiculous. For example: $ 12 for chicken fingers that remind me of elementary school lunch fish sticks, $ 12 for sliders that are actually good but don’t come with fries yet cost more than a burger and fries, and $ 12 for tater tots with cheese, a sprinkling of bacon bits, and a pound of sour cream. I tried to eat beforehand whenever I was going but unfortunately one gets hungry while watching a 4-hour football game and drinking. Speaking of drinking, beers are outrageously overpriced, served in tiny plastic cups so definitely not a full pour, and take FOREVER to get. I have watched my beer sit on the bar and get warm for 15+ minutes while the servers stand around and chat. When the servers do actually walk by the tables, you have to flag them down and then they seem annoyed when customers order drinks — even though they require opening a tab upon your first order. The bartenders are no better and don’t make eye contact with anyone not seated at the bar, so it’s better to just wait at your table and pray a server comes by. If the staff is unhappy to be working for a non-traditional clientele during game watches, then they should take that up with management and not take it out on the customers. The bathrooms were always disgusting, never had hot water or soap, and are inconveniently located downstairs save the one unisex bathroom upstairs, which is never pleasant for females. I’m giving them two stars for accommodating us to begin with, and another star for always having the game on every TV with the volume up and letting us play our fight songs, etc., during commercials. However, I really hope I never have to go back there after this season.

Stopped here for the first time last night as it seemed very lively at the bar. A holiday party was apparently coming to a close so we just propped ourselves closest to the television showing the Bruins/Canadiens. We stayed for about two hours and had drinks only. Very good selection on tap, 14 total choices with all your favorites. We were made to feel more than comfortable by the staff, one of which joined us for remainder of game while it quieted down. Will come back for sure because of the atmosphere and attitude of the staff. Good job choosing friendly employees who actually care about their customers whether busy or slow.

Ate here for lunch a few days ago. This place was originally the vault, but must be under new ownership or something. The food was good when it was the vault, but now, not so much. We got buffalo tenders and fried calamari and they tasted how they looked, unappetizing. The calamari didn’t taste they were freshly cooked and the Buffalo sauce had an odd sourness to it. I ordered the turkey tips which were small and overcooked. The only saving grace were the sides. They amounted for 70% of my entrée and the vegetables tasted nice and fresh, but some were slightly underdone. It was also odd that they didn’t have rice or a mashed potatoe for a side dish.

Went here with friends– arrived about 10 mins to 9pm. VERYRUDE bouncers and waitstaff. Kitchen closed at 10:10pm– bad move. I deal with high end clientele /public figures — I take them out for dinner and or a night on the town. Would NEVER bring them here.

Went here on Sunday before my flight back to LA. Great little spot. Parking is a bit hard to find, but still easier than the mean streets of LA. The place was pretty empty with us being the only table, but the bar had a good amount of people, but it was only 4PM on a Sunday. In total we had 5 rounds of Patron shots for 3 people and about 4 – 5 beers with 3 appetizers and the bill came out to about $ 280 before tipping. Service: was DECENT, a bit hard to get the waitress’ attention when she was busy chatting the other people up. Food: Loaded nachos +add chicken +add guac: These were a good size and had good juicy chicken and yummy guac. The cheese was a little rubbery – but hey, it happens. I wasn’t a fan of the salsa they used, it clearly came from a can or a jar, but it’s hard to mess nachos up! Loaded tater tots: I love anything with sour cream so these were pretty amazing. The tots were nice and crispy, but the cheese was the same as the cheese used on the nachos Calamari: NONONO!!! SOOOOSALTY. I feel like they drenched the calamari in the vinegar they pulled the jalapenos out of. This dish came with fried jalapenos and other pickled stuff. It was SOSALTY. Really hard to eat and we barely finished them.

Vanderbilt, known formerly as the Vault, a staple of financial district bars has been re-polished and re-branded. I am sure that there are more changes than I noticed but the menu still consists of typical Boston bar food and the layout is more or less the same. They added a drink rail in between the bar and tables which I think only gets in the way, especially if you are here on a busier night. It makes navigating to the bar nearly impossible. Staff has always been friendly and I’ve never had a bad time here. I would categorize this under not opposed to returning but would also never seek it out.

I live upstairs from this new Boston hotspot and it’s definitely a great addition to the bars and restaurants in the area. The food is solid, the service is warm and friendly and the décor is beautiful.

Just the usual mediocre sports bar with mediocre service and mediocre menu. Mix that with the disingenuous allure of sophistication and inexcusably unwarranted prices, and you get a 2 star rating. While my friend and I were there(she’s a vegan… this is not a vegan-friendly restaurant) we could actually over hear wait staff and friends making fun of us for ordering the veggie burger. Totally unacceptable. Although I live in the neighborhood I’ll never return, there are so many better options.

I came here for a company event, and it was pretty nice. There would be 5 stars, but they took away my souvenir cup from the Frost Bar since they thought it was trash. I’m sure the catering may be different than the normal menu, but their steak tips were pretty amazing. They had that charred flavor like they were grilled. Obviously there was other stuff like salad, but I didn’t eat too much of that. For dessert, they had warm cookies that had the melty chocolate chips. The drinks were plentiful, and it was on the company’s tab so I didn’t hesitate to order crazy things like Fireball shots, Jäger bombs, etc. Staff here is really nice!
