Troy Boston Luxury Apartments

If you like drama, you’ll love Troy Boston, where the building’s management team stages a never-​ending Foucauldian fantasy, wherein they collectively portray an all-​powerful resident advisor, dispensing discipline and punishment to a coterie of incorrigible teenagers, who inhabit a freshman dorm posing as a luxury apartment building.
Each act of the drama unfolds something like this: (1) A resident – or a small number of them – commits an annoying but relatively minor transgression, such as not picking up a package, playing loud music, or clogging a trash chute; (2) management sends out a notice to every single building resident about «lease violations,» pending legal action, and draconian consequences wildly disproportionate to the actual problem – all dressed up in the flowery lexicon of customer service-​speak, whereby it is their pleasure to inform you they’ll presently be doing something ridiculous, and please contact them if they may be of further assistance; (3) a flurry of intra-​building social media commentary and email traffic ensues, and then, just when things start settling down, management drops its next disciplinarian bombshell.
In the latest such episode, which solidified my resolve to move out at the conclusion of my current lease, management announced that, for a 23-​day period, every last apartment in the building would be subject to mandatory, unscheduled searches by the building staff, for the urgent purpose of… making sure folks haven’t been smoking. (Query the interwebs for «Troy Boston Smoking Inspections.») Although this deeply misguided, preposterously intrusive plan was ultimately shut down after a resident uproar – and, I presume, the building’s legal counsel telling management they’re out of their minds – the groundwork is surely being laid for the next round of disciplinarian drama, which inexorably will be visited upon every last building resident, no matter how innocent or upstanding.
If you move to Troy Boston, prepare to be ensnared by all this drama, which insists on a building-​wide audience and has regrettably conscripted even boring ol’ me. Although I tried to stay above the fray and ignore the unending succession of manufactured crises, it’s impossible to do so when the building’s busy-​body management is constantly inserting itself into your daily life – by, for example, threatening surprise searches of your apartment when you’ve done nothing but quietly paid your rent on time and followed the myriad rules.
So set aside those visions you may be entertaining about coming home to Troy Boston after a long day’s work and relaxing on the fabulous roof deck (which, in any case, is probably closed, having been rented out for a private event), because there’s a good chance you’ll instead be arriving to yet-​another antagonizing building-​wide notice, then spending your evening steaming about management’s latest power-​tripping ploy to knock you back into your adolescence. Weekends may be reserved for the heavier lift of substantively defending yourself, your apartment, and/​or the amenities you’re paying for against the latest disciplinarian measures.
All of this can be yours for the «market rent» (another fantasy altogether) of $ 2,XXX-$ 4,XXXX per month. At these prices, even die-​hard drama fans may prefer the less costly option of theater tickets.
A final note: Troy Boston appears to be adept at manipulating its Unilocal ratings, ostensibly through a combination of wielding its advertiser status and liberally deploying «Business Owner» comments (stay tuned for a comment to this review, expressing regret about my experience, and encouraging me to contact the building’s staff to address my concerns). You’ll notice that the reviews factoring into Troy Boston’s Unilocal score are largely favorable, with several reading suspiciously like plants by the building’s management – whereas the unfavorable reviews have substantially been moved to the «Not Currently Recommended» section, and therefore not factored into Troy Boston’s Unilocal score. If you want the real skinny, click on the «Not Currently Recommended» reviews, which more accurately reflect the day-​to-​day melodrama of living at Troy Boston.

I absolutely love living at Troy Boston! The ladies in the leading office: Grace, Emily, and Ashley are extremely professionally, helpful, and kind. They helped me to find a great apartment and get all set up. They even introduced me to other residents whom they thought had similar personalities. They go out of their way to make even my dog happy! I highly recommend the Troy community and working with these women. They are also always smiling and asking how they can make your day better. I feel so at home living in the middle of the city.

Beautiful apartments near the south end. I visited my friend to hang out and we ended up relaxing on the roof with great views of the city. These apartments are expensive but they seem to be well worth the price. They are near Chinatown and near a whole foods as well. The interior is awesome with wooden floors and the roof as well. There is an indoor and outdoor area on the roof. I’d come back for future events or live here in the future.

All I need to say is great quality service! My husband were exploring apartments in the area and their real estate executive Emily was incredibly patient with us. She probably spent two to three hours with us showing us the entire property, multiple floor plans, and then even took us back to our favorites. I just was so appreciative of her help guidance and willingness to help.
