Why do we drink coffee? Why do we visit coffee shops, and how do we choose our daily coffee stop? Philosophers from Jean Paul Sartre to Jean Claude van Damme have grappled with these existential questions for millennia; human civilizations rise and fall with their fortunes determined by control of the Mighty Berry. Triangle Coffee provides answers that might finally staunch the centuries-long spillage of ink and blood: We drink coffee because we wish to walk with thunder in the veins and lightning in the arteries and to be the«pro» in productivity. Every cup of triangle coffee contains a fine-tuned balance of chemical enhancements and magical enchantments. We leave as Gods among goldfish, human only in our inability to know the source of our gifts, for there are many possibilities: 1) Our interaction with proprietor Ottavio, the bespectacled Merlin who, as though descended from Mount Olympus in a racing shell, stirs the caffeinated cauldrons and the minds of men with equal and unsurpassable grace. 2) Appreciation for the shop itself, handcrafted by artisans descended from Plymouth Rock using the tools and techniques of their ancestors. 3) Or perchance the exquisite, fine tuned flavors of the drinks themselves – thoughtfully conceived and lovingly named(«Honey Steamer» comes to mind) – leaving one satisfied for hours with a paradoxically fresh feeling on the tongue as though with breath mint yet tasting unmistakably of coffee in all its complexity. We return for these alive elixirs because they enliven us, and to be enlivened is the sweetest fruit of the morning.

Triangle Coffee’s NOLA cold brew was what I sampled last year at a Unilocal event at Brooklyn Boulders. And it was fantastic and I have been telling folks about it since that one tasting. Simple, smooth and tasty. I knew about the new location but was not able to drop by City Hall until last week. I enjoyed a nice cup of NOLA cold brew and it truly is the best coffee in town! I forget the name of the barista, but she was very friendly and receptive to my enthusiasm about their CIty Hall location. She told me about their new space at the Seaport area.

The espresso is great — best I’ve had in Boston. And if you are there when it’s hot, definitely get the NOLA.

Triangle coffee clearly puts so much thought and love into their setup and their coffee. It is by far the best tasting coffee anywhere near downtown Boston. It is the only reason I would want to work in City Hall. The Larry Bird is the sh*t: cold brew coffee with condensed milk.

Triangle Coffee is new on the scene and has the best 4th wave coffee is Boston. The owner Tavio is not only a great barista but he’s hot.

Pretty fantastic coffee and the friendliest service in town. City Hall is lucky to have such a promising small business like Triangle Coffee serving right inside their doors. I read about them in the Globe and had to check it out. Worth it even if its not on your commute but they’ve got a few other locations around town too. Boston Strong!

This place is awesome. Coffee is best I’ve had in Boston — by far — and the owner/barista Ottavio is an interesting dude. Olympic rower, worked in finance, and then quit to launch a coffee business. Love this place. Definitely try the cold brew — I have been vibrating ever since.
