A knot in the thread creates a trap and hairs are caught and forced out by the root. The rapid back and forth movement, removes the hair in a most efficient manner. Hair can be removed individually or few as per the customer request.

First time here, and overall a great experience. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon without appointment, and was able to check in and get my eyebrows threaded immediately (0 minute wait). I believe I ended up with Kopila (sp?).
It’s set at a great price-​point (it’s basically less than 50% the price you’d pay if you went to the Benefit Brow Bar down the street). I paid $ 12 for eyebrow threading ( Unilocal check-​in offer). Eyebrows ended up clean and even.
I can’t attest to any other facial threading service that The Threading Place offers, but I would definitely recommend eyebrow threading to anyone.

I never bother providing feedback but I was so displeased with the service I felt it necessary to write a review. I went in for eyebrow threading and she did a TERRIBLE job. I asked for a simple clean up and my brows are now uneven! One side is too short and the other is noticeably wider between the eyes on one side. I will NOT being going back.

Livid. I’ve been to this threading place a dozen times and it’s always been a positive experience. But today I went in and a new girl did my brows, in short I walked out with a missing eye brow. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT come here unless you are into the one eye brow look. Blessed I have light eyebrows and hair grows but that’s still not okay. Don’t let the coupons foul you.

It’s got a pretty great location on a 2nd floor Newbury St space, with proper signage, so that it’s easy to find.
You walk into a bright green room and will be instructed to «sign in» to the tablet on the desk. Be sure to use the Unilocal deal for $ 12 /​eyebrow threading instead of $ 15.
I’ve been here twice, and have had mixed reviews. Sometimes, it’s excellent. My brows are shaped nicely, the service was excellent, and she was friendly. Then, another time, I had a botched job, where I feel like hairs were missed, brows aren’t even, and instead of asking me to tilt my head to the right, she takes her index finger and forcefully pokes my temple and pushes my head. It happened a few times. Not necessary. Not acceptable.
I come here when I’m already in the Boston, am running a ton of quick errands, and can’t make it to the South Shore to my regular girl. There are a ton of other threading places popping up on Newbury, and I’d be more inclined to try those rather than come back.

First time here. I’m really picky about what goes on and what is done to my face. So, trying a new threading spa… I wasn’t too sure. However, after reading reviews I decided to try it out. I’m glad I did! I purchased the Unilocal deal and paid $ 12 instead of $ 15 (which would have been fine too because in Natick mall, where I usually go, it’s $ 15 and they do a great job). Anyways, what a nice experience. Nobody was there and Copela was nice and quick. I don’t know about other people but I always shed at least one tear with eye brow threading but this time around, I felt no pain. This place is close to work, I will definitely be going back.

I have been coming here for a few months now, and I have to say, it’s worth the trip from Allston. I had been going somewhere else in Allston previously, but after one trip to the Threading Place I have been back every time I need my eyebrows done. I just think my brows come out better. They’re left a little longer, and thicker but shaped better, which is definitely the trend now. No complaints on the staff either, at the minimum they’re courteous and professional, but most of the time they’re all that, as well as friendly. I’m glad I stumbled on this place, and will continue to go there for my threading needs.

I love technology and really dig the Ipad sign in and text message alerts in case there’s a wait, which usually there isn’t. In a nice and surprisingly large space, maybe they are raking the dough in…
$ 15 for eyebrows isn’t the best price, but they do a decent job and are quick and efficient. Definitely do the check in and Unilocal groupons to get at least a couple bucks off!

Stumbled upon this place while shopping Newbury St. There was only one person working the store, so there was a short wait –but she had it. She did a very good job and was fast. I was thrilled there was a Unilocal 1st time discount! Only cash tips are accepted!

This is my first time I am getting threading rather than waxing so it was an interesting feeling for me. I came with my roommate who had been here once already, recommending the girl and that there was a Unilocal deal [20% off]
There was no wait and so we started swiftly. One or two seconds in I laughed and made mention that this was my first threading. Only then did she mention some hurt. All good. I asked for a clean up. It went alright, however all said and done she had shaped it quite thinly. It looked fine, just I didn’t realize that a cleanup would take out so much hair, also inside left starts further out than desired. Alright, we will need to wait for a while for it to grow back again.
All in all fine, just strange in experience. The girl said practically nothing the entire time i was there. Interestingly, there is a video that plays to showcase some of her skills when you are waiting in the waiting room. It seems this particular practice enjoys very thin eyebrows in general.

Came in on Monday afternoon at 3.30pm to be the only customer there. Was done and out in 10 minutes! My brows were shaped perfectly, better than any other salon I’ve been to in New York City. Only downside is the price — $ 15 for brows is kind of steep! Will be coming back.

Went there today for the first time and I was pretty impressed. The wait time was about 5 minutes. I asked her to just remove the extras and do my upper lip. She was pretty quick and skilled. I was out in less than 15 minutes. If you are looking for a fast, easy and neat eyebrow threading — then this is your place.

Conveniently located at Newbury. I love this place, its the cheapest around my location and best threading. The girls do an awesome job.
After 9 visits, 10th visit is free. Also eyebrows r only for 10 bucks! How cheap and cook is that. I am a fan!

Courteous, neat, and efficient– everything I would want from a place to perfect mah brows.
I came here last week with my best friend to get our brows done. It’s a clean, neat space, with a waiting area away from those getting threaded so that everyone gets their privacy. Stations are still next to each other as in any other typical threading place so there’s that, but I was happy with my experience here.
One reason why I knocked off one star is because of the pricing. Typically in NY and in CA they charge $ 7 for an eyebrow threading. However, this is Newbury St, so expect the pricing to match. Brows go for $ 15 but if you take advantage of the Unilocal app, it goes down to $ 10. I didn’t mind spending that much since we were in the area but I imagine if you like to have multiple areas threaded it can add up.
Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would still recommend it if you’re in the area.

I“m very particular about getting my eyebrows threaded considering I have been going to the same woman for 11 years where I’m from in Maryland. But I’m in Boston for school and had to find someone here as well. My eyebrows grow a bit unevenly and i have had them really mess up before when i got then threaded at places i was unfamiliar with. So even though sitting in the chair was nerve wracking I was very happy with the results.
I ask just for a clean up and no drastic shaping and the woman did a great job! Also i felt the price was reasonable for back bay area. I would definitely come back again.

Only waited about 10 minutes, Anju took about 5 – 7 minutes to whip my untidied brows into shape, and it was only $ 10 before tip with the Unilocal deal.
All business but not discourteous — efficient, kind, skilled, quick, cheap, nice. Everything I want out of a threading experience. I’ll be back!
