The Spot is Bay State College’s Student Run Studio Space. We are here to facilitate hold/​host events for Bay State College students, any/​all surrounding colleges in the greater Boston area, and general public. From live music, to comedy shows, movie features, fashion showcases, rehersal space, lectures, and theatre productions. No ideas is too outside of the box for The Spot!

History

Established in 2009.

The Spot is Bay State College’s Student Studio Space. It opened in October of 2009 for the intent to provide a hands on learning experience for the students interested in working for a venue in the future or merely to join the management teams to help provide great entertainment for the college students in the Boston area and the general public. We have had over 30 shows in our first year of opening and and collectively have had 800 patrons join us at The Spot including touring bands we have booked in the past. This is only the beginning of more wonderful things to come. Please join us for our upcoming events!

Business Owner

Bay State College opened in 1946 serving one industry (airlines) by providing students with hands-​on skills and paying particular attention to a strong educational foundation. Bay State then, as it is now, was known for its small classes, individual attention, and focus on specific careers. The core values of the institution that endure today are Quality, Respect and Support. We believe it is our core values that enable student success.

In 1961, Bay State moved to its current location in the Back Bay — the heart of the city, close to hospitals, businesses, shopping, fashion and entertainment.

More than 60 years after its inception, Bay State is still operating under the vision of its founders. The College is providing employers with skilled graduates who are professionally trained and arrive on the job market with a strong education that will serve both employee and employer well.

To this day, Bay State is growing like the industries we serve in our region.
