As an experienced homebuyer, I’ve dealt with several different realtors (in and outside of Boston). I met Chad Gaughan of Goodrich Residential through his diligent prospecting efforts. I had privately marketed my home on Zillow, in an attempt to see how my home would fair in the market. Chad quickly responded to my inquiry and showed me how to become more appealing in the marketplace. Chad has a very unique and non-​traditional way of marketing homes that is not only successful, but genius. Truthfully, I am a very demanding and somewhat difficult person to work with. I expect excellence from whom ever I chose to do business with. If I had chosen another realtor there is an exponentially strong chance that the daunting task I had of not only selling, but buying, and renting out one of my current units (within a 3 week deadline), would not have been achieved. After viewing several homes, we arrived at my ideal dream home. Receiving an accepted offer in an ever so competitive South Boston market (without significantly overbidding) is also a nearly impossible task. Chad got it done. Chad answered every call, text, and email I sent within moments of receiving them. Chad is courteous, knowledgeable, and experienced. If there is something Chad doesn’t know, he will do thorough research, and find the answer. During the very stressful process of buying a home, I emailed Chad at midnight on a Saturday in hopes I would get an answer on Monday, at 5 AM Sunday morning, Chad responded with comforting news. These are traits you don’t find from just anyone in the industry. Perhaps the best quality about Chad is that he does not partake in Boston real estate for the money, but his true passion for Boston and its surrounding real estate. It is rare to find someone so passionate about their occupation, that they can spend hours talking about the city, its characteristics and property, regardless of if there is a sale in it for him or not. If you are looking to buy, sell, or rent a property in the Boston area, you would be doing yourself a significant injustice if you don’t at least speak to Chad Gaughan of Goodrich Residential. I can assure you it will be the best real estate decision you have ever made.

I worked with Chad Gaughan in buying my first home in South Boston. An awesome guy, probably the most likeable person I’ll ever know. Chad has an outstanding wealth of knowledge in real estate, especially in the South Boston area. After every open house/​private showing, he showed a clear understanding of the market and knew if the place was worth the list price. He helped me weigh all the options in front of me, determine best/​most competitive offer and never wanted me to overpay for something that wasn’t absolutely worth it in the long run. He also knows every person in South Boston, meaning awesome connections with other sellers, agents, etc.
Chad worked around my busy schedule and made himself available ²⁴⁄₇. He was incredibly patient during the four month process and never pushed me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. Most importantly, I felt supported and excited through the tedious/​stressful process. Overall, I was completely blown away with how professional and truly friendly Chad was. He redefines the definition of what it is to be a real estate agent — someone who is kind, understanding, bright, and ridiculously knowledgeably.
