Deb’s vision and dream was always to open a hair salon where she could have her own flexibility to create and style hair. She envisioned a laid back atmosphere where her clients would feel comfortable and serene. Her primary focus was always «to be able to take care of my clients» in relaxed environment.

She realized her dream when she opened Studio 9 after working on Newbury street for 15 years.

Beyond a brick and mortar location, Deb is best known for her superior service. Whether it is your Wedding Day, or you are just in Deb’s chair, she wants you to feel beautiful.

With over 20 years standing as one of Boston’s most prized hair stylists, Deb brings art and fashion to every style she does.

Growing up with five sisters, Deb often jumped at the opportunity to style each of her sisters’ hair. She graduated from Blaine School in 1992 and has been working in the industry ever since. Since then Deb has established herself and her studio at 9 Newbury St in the Back Bay and has become a local favorite.

Deb’s clients find her to be accommodating and professional under various situations — from the salon chair to onsite weddings. She keeps up with the latest trends and techniques, while maintaining the traditions and values of one-​on-​one attention with a personal touch. Her focus is on you. She wants you to feel confident and comfortable knowing that she will always work until you are completely satisfied with your look and style.
