I’m very grateful to know Jackie and Barrie in this process. Though I eventually didn’t buy one through them (since I decided to look outside South End), I highly appreciate the professional opinions they gave me in my early search period. Besides their tremendous knowledge and deep experiences in South End, there are several fantastic characteristics of Jackie and Barrie that I value significantly:
1. Listen to my needs — After our initial meeting, they started to sending recommendations to me and these selection definitely met my outlined criteria. I didn’t come up with a great budget or lots of flexibilities, but they took my opinions into count and screened very careful
2. Trustworthy — believe it or not? There are cases that Jackie told me certain properties don’t worth my time to see the open houses. For instances, there were cases she told me there were hidden issues of some beautiful properties (rats, train) that I wouldn’t be able to find out just through an house. More importantly, those were times I was just casually looking on my own and I was not even working with Jackie /​Barrie at that time! This is really good integrity that put clients’ interest before business!
3. Considerate — There were periods that I was only casually looking /​almost gave up, so I didn’t contact them for a while. They were not pushy at all and respected my own pace. Instead, they tried to provide thoughts, but they didn’t push me to look further.
I’m very happy that I met Jackie and Barrie and would love to stay friends with them even if I’m not buying!

Even in a hot market there is a benefit in having a great real estate team to work with. While I’m a broker myself, I decided that having someone to represent me, who really knows the local market and knows how to manage the process was worth the expense. I was correct. The team was excellent in every respect from the initial pricing, advice on staging and regular timely communications they were excellent. Through their efforts we achieved a price that easily made up for the expense of their services.

Within six days of meeting The Steven Cohen Team, our offer on our first home was accepted. We had been looking to buy a home for about a year. During the process, we found that there is a lot of information available on the internet but that there is no substitute for the expertise of an experienced and skilled real estate agent. Barrie and Jackie are the best! They recently helped me find my first home, and without their patience, knowledge, and support I think I would still be looking… or living in a place I wouldn’t love nearly as much as the one I finally bought.
They took the time to get to know me and learn my preferences– and since I wasn’t very good at what I wanted (better at figuring out what I didn’t want) this probably wasn’t easy for them, but I never felt rushed or judged. This was the major reason I needed up working with them, rather than one of the other two realtors I had spent time with previously. Throughout the process they were great at showing me new properties not yet on market, or accompanying me to showings and providing insights I wouldn’t have picked up on by myself. One time they advised me to hold off on a home I was considering, as it «didn’t seem like me». Not only were they right, but it reassured me to know they weren’t in it for the quick commission. They truly want what is best for you and want your repeat business, so our interests are well aligned.
Last thing I’ll say– their value continues after the home purchase. They hooked me up with recommendations for financing, floors, carpentry, painting, electrician and handyman. Better than Angie’s list!
I hope to live in my place for a long time, but if I ever sell or buy again I’ll definitely work with the SCT again.

So my partner had used Steven Cohen before to find our house back in 2010. When I was ready to take the plunge and bind my wallet to my partner and buy an investment /​rental property with him in September 2013, my partner had had such a great experience with Steven before that we reached out to him again.
