I think they’ve since let go the antagonist of my previous review. The new guy that works there now, Chris, is great! He remembers my order and helps other baristas to spell my name correctly =) It’s a shame that I’ve now moved so I won’t be going to this location as often.

I work down the street from this Starbucks and it’s my go to place when I want coffee or tea. Lately I’ve been wanting tea because it’s so refreshing and not as heavy as coffee. I practically live here since I come here so often, almost every day. Lately it’s been twice a day. It’s getting to be quite embarrassing. The baristas and cashiers are all starting to know me and being familar with what I order which is a good and bad thing for obvious reasons. The employees are generally nice, as long as you’re nice to them of course. The one thing I like about this site is how fast each drink is made to order. I normally never have to wait more than 1 minute for my drink, but I guess that’s one of the perks of going there in the afternoon. Since most people get their coffees in the morning before work. I remember one time I was in a rush to get to work and I ordered 2 shots of espresso over ice. I was worried that it might take awhile because there was about 5 people waiting for their drinks. So I asked how long it would take. I guess sensing my rush, the woman behind the counter said not that long and proceeded to make my drink and hand it to me. I was super grateful she didn’t make me wait for the barista to finish the other drinks before me. The four stars is more for the lack of friendliness regarding the cashiers faces. If you try to joke with them they just have a stoic transfixed face that reads ‘what do you want’ & ‘I don’t want to be here’ type faces. Of course if I worked as a cashier in a constant busy Starbucks I’d probably have the same face too.

Great location. Clean and friendly environment. Set up well inside. Fast snacks and of course all the coffee, and tea you could want.

This is my first time at this Starbucks, Boylston. Seriously, the service is very rude and annoying. I ordered two shots of espresso with the caramel syrup and asked the lady at front to get the bigger cup. But, the answer that I got is «if you want to add milk in it, just order Latte» with the annoyed tone. And I tried to ask her again for the bigger cup, but she still forces me to order Latte! and gave a reason«Latte comes with milk and espresso». I finally said«it’s ok» because I didn’t want to argue with bad service minded people. No argument does not mean satisfied. Honestly, I don’t even know how they make and what they put in the Latte. I asked for the bigger cup(one size difference) because it is too strong for me and wanted to mix non-fat milk with half&half by myself in order to get the taste that I like. She acted like I tried to cheat her. Excuse me, if you do not want to serve customers with free milk at service bar, just take it out. I am a customer and I pay for it.

I cannot believe how rude the manager is here. I went in today to buy a gift card. I very nicely asked if they could provide a gift card receipt. The cashier who was helping said no. I asked her if I could get a duplicate receipt then. She did not know. The manager(I think she’s the manager) came over, printed out one and threw it at me, then stormed to the back! It was unbelievable how rude she was! I spent money there! HORRIBLE!!! I should have gone to my local starbucks in Winchester where people who work there are much much friendlier!!!

Poor service. Would not ever come back to this Starbuck location. The batista was rude and cheap.

At least the service is consistently terrible. No joke, but every time I go in here my drink is wrong or I have to wait 20 minutes for a cup of tea.

Poor customer service. It seems this particular store of Statbucks is extremely bad, the management should take a look.

I really like this Starbucks. The staff actually engaged you in conversation no matter how busy they are and this is a busy location. It’s funny that there’s two in the area, Winter Street and this location and hands down this location is it. I have one comment that I’ll reserve for the upper management… reverse the flow and this place will be even better. The flow goes the wrong way. Totally reverse it and you’ll see business improve. It’s so busy that people would walk in and walk out losing sales.

The manager is a rude b*tch who orders around her employees like dogs. I ordered a drink and as I was waiting for it, the manager calls the the employees name like 10 times as she is clearly doing something, and said«take the trash out, here and there now.» OK… wow. I would have quit already. After I got my drink and left for a couple minutes to go to the bathroom since there isn’t one inside the Starbucks, and I came back to do work and she asked me if she could offer me a drink, and I responded with«I just got a green tea» which I consumed, since thats what you’re SUPPOSED to do with a Starbucks drink, and she said«Well I don’t see it» …well sweetheart I DRANKIT. Don’t go here unless you want to be harassed and see the manager be disrespectful to employees.

Three stars for Starbucks 1. Their stainless steel mugs keep liquids hot/cold for hours. Love them! 2. The coffee, as it is known, is strong and dark. 3. They have steamed soy milk which acts as a sweetener and does not curdle in your coffee like cold soy milk does. While I do not speak coffee«steamed latte miso.» what? I do know what I like in plain English and they deliver! The seating at this Starbucks is sparse, cold and uninviting. I also wish they would offer more(at least one) gluten free carbohydrate. I like potato chips, just not with my coffee. But if they had gluten-free bread maybe I could get a sandwich! Either way, I like my cup and the coffee in it! Thank my stars for the cups!

Terrible service. I thought maybe the curly haired, older woman was having a bad day until the taller Irish looking guy decided that I was personally asking him to pay for the honey packets I wanted I add to my tea. I don’t live in Boston, and everyone has been extremely nice here. Simply surprised.

Probably more of a 3.5 star place, but I’ll round up because it’s an extremely convenient location for me with pretty good service. The baristas are very friendly, even when the location is incredibly busy, and they really try to take the time to get your order right. There was only one time they messed up my order(I’d ordered a nonfat salted caramel mocha latte with whip, but they ran out of the salt and forgot the whip and I didn’t notice until after I’d already left), but that was also a pretty hectic day so I won’t ding them for that. Shop itself is slightly small, but they do have a few booths where you can do work. The shop is also kept at a good temperature(definitely never felt cold, although the coffee itself probably also helped). My one complaint is the lack of a bathroom — what kind of coffee shop doesn’t have a restroom for customers to use? Caffeine’s a diuretic, you gotta take that into consideration!

I usually order latte or espresso and both are always great! For me any Starbucks is always cozy and everyone seem so friendly there. And what i Like the most is how fast they make your order that is fantastic.

Definitely a grab and go Starbucks, not much room to sit or stick around. Other than that, fast service and good coffee.

This is probably one of the few Starbucks I dislike. I dislike it’s location as much as i love it. I don’t like the fact that often, a homeless person runs in and ask for change or get them something to eat. I don’t have anything against homeless folks, as a matter of fact i wished they didn’t have to be. But it doesn’t change the fact that i don’t want to be disturbed. Do not leave any belongings laying around because just as fast as you left it, it will disappear just as quickly if you don’t watch out for it. Keep your eyes and ears open. It isn’t exactly the safest of all the Starbucks. I love it’s location because it’s right across the street from Boston Common. It’s centrally located to just about everything. I usually come here just to get a Green tea iced tea. I haven’t drank coffee in a long while and don’t really care to start either but no matter its winter or summer, i love iced tea. Service is generally quick if there isn’t a long line. Staff are usually friendly and come around and clean up the tables and every now and then. Downfall: this has got to be the smallest i’ve seen and there is no bathroom. There used to be one but i guess they closed it off to customers probably because of homeless folks using it and making it impossible for customers to enjoy their experience. There are enough chairs and table space but when it’s busy, there is nothing and it’s a long wait for one too.

I have to post up a review on 12÷12÷12! The staff is friendly and there is usually room to sit and study if you want a place to study. I usually order coffee, expresso, or lattes. The quality of their drinks are consistent. Overall their service is 4.5. They even come out from behind the counter and start taking orders of people in line. There are some downfalls to this place though. The location is not exactly a safe location. There are usually a lot homeless people that come in. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have problem with homeless people. There is this one homeless guy that is really nice and always open the door for customers and said he would appreciate it if we come out and give him some change. But the other day, I was enjoying my coffee at this Starbucks location, I saw a homeless guy come in and kept harassing customers. He was digging through the trash to get coffee. He even picked up a pair of gloves on a seat that probably a previous customer left. He walked up to me and started to harass me and told me to get him a coffee by leaning in and invading my personal space. I had to move back from my seat and said no please, go away. Then he was looking at my backpack that was on the table and held my hello kitty keychain and said he wants it. And I was like no! stop. Then he yanked it off my backpack, ran out of the store, and quickly crossed the street. At that moment, I was just like what the hell is going on? I hope this is just a 1 time thing and it won’t happen again. I mean I am sure it was a funny scene for others to watch, but for me it was a sad day. I lost my favorite hello kitty :[.
