Joe, a Massachusetts native, has been working in real estate in Boston and New England for close to two decades, and prides himself in his ability to help his clients make the right real estate decisions for their goals. Joe believes in helping his clients understand their needs and find the best match. «It makes me feel great to know that my client today who is looking for an investment property is the new college grad I rented an apartment to in 1997,» he said, «These long term relationships are why I love real estate in Boston.»

Over the years, Joe has become known as one of the most reliable and trustworthy real estate brokers in downtown Boston amongst his clients and his peers. Since opening South End Realty Group with his business partner Tim Anastasia in March 2011, South End Realty Group has formed a unique group of agents who desired a work environment that put their clients’ needs first while building long term relationships.

Went in their office, girl was friendly and the guy was an asshole. Was looking to rent a parking space, was informed of an available spot close to my condo, when I called a few minutes after leaving to express my interest, the girl told me it was no longer available. A few days later, I see that it was posted on craigslist by someone else and when I called the guy said it was still available! I suggest that you put a sign that states Hispanics are not allowed to rent!!! Racist.

When you pay upwards of $ 1500 for a brokers fee you want to be paying someone who is worth your time and money, someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and competent. Brian Clark of south end realty group is NOT this someone. Can’t speak for any other brokers here, but do yourself a favor and work with anyone but Brian Clark.

Tim Anastasia is a rockstar. He helped me both rent my apartment for 10 years and ultimately sell it this past year. He’s a consummate professional with great follow-​up and a great attitude. If you’re considering renting, buying or selling, I would recommend him.

Knowledgeable firm. Tim Anastasia over there is a good communicator and was very helpful listing my property on the market. We had a few issues with one of their agents who actually walked through an active construction site causing some damage, but Tim called me immediately, and sent me a check for the damage. I have to say I appreciated his willingness to help out, and his sense of urgency when we had some issues.

I would not recommend South End Realty Group. My husband and I wanted to look at apartments in the South End, so we reached out to the general contact email. Sarah Harris responded to us in a timely manner and was very energetic about helping us out with our search. So we book a meeting for 10am on Sunday and plan to meet at their offices to start the search and look at a few properties. On Sunday morning, my husband and I get in the car to drive into the city (we don’t live close so it’s actually quite an inconvenience), and I decide to give Sarah a call to touch base and let her know we will arrive in a few minutes. I look at my email to pull up her number, and I find that she emailed me at 9:10am, telling me that there are actually no properties that fit our description on the market at the moment and that we should push the meeting time back. So, she emailed us less than 1 hour before the appointment to cancel and on top of that, she clearly didn’t do any research on apartments prior to the morning of our appointment. At minimum, the least she could have done was pick up the phone and stop us before coming into the city. We thought this was extremely unprofessional and honestly, a waste of our morning. We will not be using South End Realty Group in the future and made it very clear to Sarah that we were upset. Instead of an apology or anything in response, we received silence. Do yourself a favor, use anyone else but South End Realty Group to find a place to live.

I used them to sell my house as well as buy my new house. Tim was great throughout the entire proccess. The house we sold had some issues so he brought in a contractor to address them. He also took care of the staging when it came time to show it. We have 2 kids so our place was a bit of a disaster. Finding our new home took a lot longer than selling ours but we found our dream home and never plan on moving again. Tim was great and he was very concious of our wants and needs for our new house and got us everything we wanted and more

I had a really great experience with South End Realty. Lauren Grant is an amazing realtor, and she made the entire process so easy! Definitely ask for her if you can. She was extremely friendly, funny, and professional — in the past, I’ve felt pressured and uncomfortable with Boston realtors, but this entire experience was different. She was always so polite and knowledgable! In less than two weeks, she found a beautiful apartment and helped me through all of the paperwork/​lease signing. I’ll be moving in July!
South End Realty just seems like an all around good business — accurate property photos, upfront about all the costs, and VERY fast with communication. 100% recommended for anyone seeking a place to live in Boston — thank you!

I will never use this group again! The realtor got back to me when it was convenient for her, if she got back to me at all. After I signed the application and she had my money she was never around! She never followed through with anything until I called her over and over again! Never mind the fact that the apart I am in is horrible! I agree with the other review and if I could give less than one star I would!

Can you give less than one star? Gotta love an agency that says a place is yours and to get the application to them in the morning, but by the time you do that it has been rented to someone else. Thanks for nothing and lying. What happened to integrity? Oh yeah… we’re dealing with a rental agency that clearly is a front for slumlords.
