Robin’s Flower Shop

My experience with Robins Flower Shop was somewhat disappointing. I ordered a premium bouquet of flower for my girlfriend for delivery on the following day to her office. After I placed the order I realized that her birthday is in fact in 2 days and she wouldn’t be in her office until then. I called the shop but they were gone for the day, so I emailed them to make sure they delay the delivery for one day. I also called the next morning but they said they had already delivered and had not seen my email. So, she was of course surprised when informed by her secretary about the flowers but my intention for her to be surprised and personally receive the bouquet instead of getting a text about it was somewhat ruined.

I have ordered from Robin’s shop multiple times for my mother who is notoriously difficult to please, particularly with flowers. Everything I have ordered from Robin’s had been spectacular — and pleasing to Mom! The quality of the flowers is absolutely premium — truly beautiful arrangements and well worth it every time. Any questions around delivery have been proactive on the shop’s part, making sure the order gets to the right place — very welcome and a great customer service touch. Recommended without a hesitation.

My aunt sent me flowers at work this week, sunflowers and they are beautiful. She didn’t know I am a fan of Robin’s she did a random selection online! So very good choice for a Boston office floral delivery.

I used Robin’s Flower Shop to deliver birthday flowers to my daughter, who works in Boston. The results were spectacular. Both I and my daughter were thrilled with the arrangement that she received — it was fresh, beautiful, and fragrant. I highly recommend Robin’s Flower Shop for quality flowers at reasonable prices.
DETAILS:
I send my daughter birthday flowers every year. As I’m usually choosing a florist from afar, my results have been mixed, at best. Last year was a total disaster. The arrangement the florist (not Robin!) delivered was puny, wilted, and in no way resembled the online photo of what I thought I was purchasing. The florist didn’t care because it was an internet order. I was appalled.
With last year in mind, I did a fair amount of research this year before choosing a florist. Specifically, I looked for someone with a location near my daughter’s office, who had good reviews, and reasonable prices. I also looked for a web site that had a «local», «hands on», and «personal», feel to it, as opposed to as site that is simply a relabeled content from FTD or other some other national floral network. My assumption being that a smaller florist run by a proprietor who cares would provide better results than some huge production line that spits out internet orders like sausage.
While I did find a number of local florists that appeared to do good work, most seemed to think that $ 250 was the starting point for a basic birthday arrangement. Robin was the only florist I found that seemed likely to provide a quality arrangement at a reasonable price.
I felt relatively confident when I placed my order last week with Robin. However, there was still a nagging worry that this year’s flowers might be another dud. About 10AM this morning, I received an email from Robin telling me the flowers had been delivered (this is the first time that I received a delivery confirmation from anyone). A few minutes later I received texts and photos from my daughter. She was thrilled, saying that this was, by far, the most beautiful flowers she had ever received from me (and I’ve been doing this for about 10 years).
Granted, I’ve only used Robin once, but, based on my experience, I highly recommend her. This is the best online floral purchase I’ve ever made.

Love Robin’s Flower Shop. She is a small business owner, not 1800flowers nor ftd. She does fabulous fresh arrangements for a price that is not outrageous. She is pleasant and courteous on the phone.

I have two specific ways to recommend Robin’s.
I used to coordinate events for my company in the financial district, and Robin’s was our go to Florist. I could call at 3 the day before an event, and she’d have arrangements for me the next morning. The arrangements were always unbelievably beautiful and real inexpensive. People often asked if they were from Winston.
When I got married this past spring, my wife and I had a hard time finding a florist that fit our needs, and I suggested Robin’s based on my experience with her at work. Robin was even better as our wedding florist than she was as my event florist at work. She helped us choose the flowers we wanted for our arrangements and let us buy from her in bulk.
If you need flowers for work or personally, I would totally recommend Robin’s.

Robin’s is a small hole in the wall on the Devonshire that’s been there for yeeears. It’s so small I was surprised to see them come up on a search engine. I’ve been working in this area for 23 years and Robin’s has always been a popular spot to go and get fresh flowers at a reasonable price. Hadn’t been there in a while but I needed flowers to bring to a relative who had just gone through surgery. Cold and blustery day so I figured I’d just go, pick out some flowers and a vase, bring them to the hospital and put them together at the hospital sink while my niece floated overhead on morphine. The lady at Robins was awesome! She took the initiative to arrange the flowers in the vase with a small bit of water and then she wrapped the whole thing up in paper stapling it closed so that it would survive the cold and wind. She allowed me to stand inside the glass enclosement and stay warm with her while she did this. Way more than I expected. Robin’s is awesome and not expensive! GO!

I live in the neighborhood and heard about Robin from a friend who often stops by to pick up flowers while in the financial district. Having not given much prior thought to flowers for a rehearsal dinner I was hosting at my condo on a Friday evening, I called Robin that morning and she said she’d be happy to help me out. With my only idea being that I wanted to stick with a white color palette, I brought her 5 of my vases (one of which was a very large low bowl for dining room table centerpiece) and Robin quickly got to work. For a reasonable budget (that I am certain was probably half of what the big name downtown florist might have gotten), she created five absolutely beautiful, sophisticated and creative arrangements. The large centerpiece was chock-​full of hydrangea, freesia, daisies, roses and lilies– all floating in the bowl full of water. The other 4 complemented the large one and added a beautiful touch to the evening. And, best of all, she finished all of this within a couple of hours so that I did not even need to come back later in the day to pick it up. It was a pleasure to work with Robin on this last minute project and I will be back for all of my flower needs from now on!

Do you need flowers while running out of the office on your way home? Stop by Robin’s Flowers, which is right near the State Street T Stop. The people that work here are friendly and they carry boquets ranging from $ 7 — $ 30. This place is literally a hole in the wall but it serves its purpose.
