Radiant Yoga Boston

I’ve been practicing yoga for a little over 5 years, and have made it a point to try out every studio in Boston (and everywhere else when I travel!!). It’s without a doubt that there’s something special about Radiant– everyone there is warm and welcoming and its proven to be a real escape from the day to day. For beginners or the most advanced, there’s something for everyone! Yoga outside at the park or on the beach in the summer. Heated sculpt flow or restorative yin– they have it all!
Most importantly, I’ve dropped into so many classes and had a great class but then I’ll realize I didn’t actually LEARN anything from the teacher! At radiant, you’ll always be learning. Getting alignment help and tips to work on the things you need to!

As a semi-​beginner to yoga I’ve had difficulty finding a studio that makes me feel both comfortable where I am at in my practice that day and challenging enough that walking out of the room incites a sense of accomplishment. At Radiant, the teachers vary in their styles but I’m always able to show up on my mat and feel good about where I’m at.
The studio itself is warm and inviting. Gold pillars adorn the center of the room and bring a sense of warmth that I haven’t yet experienced at many other studios in Boston. The teachers feel human and approachable, inviting and knowledgable, and I’m continually impressed with the relationships that seem to be built between both the instructors and their students and between the students themselves. Ample props sit along the side of the room for everyone’s use and the small lobby boasts bins and hooks galore, giving your garments and after-​work bags a place to live for the duration of the class.
My yoga practice spans various studios in and around Boston but there’s something about the space and community at Radiant that makes it feel particularly special. I would certainly encourage everyone to hop in and take one of their classes (I believe they have a good new-​student special) and would be remiss if I didn’t specifically mention my favorite class: Vinyasa Flow with Chanel.

Beautiful, spacious, relaxing, inviting, and convenient. This is a real hidden gem in Boston for yoga go-​ers. My teacher Chanel was helpful without being over-​bearing and she had some assistants who did the same. Would definitely recommend for anyone whose looking for a fun, clean, welcoming yoga studio in the south end. Namaste!

Warm, friendly, welcoming; Radiant yoga rocks. I’m only a beginner yogi, but so far my classes there have been amazing. In addition to training there, I was also a featured musician for two of the classes. It seems like their are very serious yogis that train there, and I am very easily
Intimidated, but My teacher Chanel is inspiring and encourages me without being to intense. I feel like I can be where I’m at here, and I am part of a community. The studio is located in a quiet neighborhood in Southie, and the interior itself is beautiful, and has a temple/​sanctuary feel. I encourage everyone in the neighborhood to check it out!

I have visited many studios in the Boston area, and I can say without a doubt that Radiant has the warmest and most welcoming community I have encountered. I’ve seen teachers here go out of their way to introduce themselves to students and — even better — introduce students to one another! It’s refreshing and sorely needed, in a world where yoga studios sometimes feel like a party you weren’t really invited to. It’s never felt that way at Radiant. I’ve met some of my favorite people at this studio, which now feels like a second home to me. The environment is warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and non-​competitive. Options are always given, and you can feel free to be yourself, wherever you’re at that day, even if it means child’s pose for 60 minutes. The owner, Chanel, is a phenomenal teacher with extensive knowledge and experience. Going to one of her classes is like a mini retreat for your mind, body, and soul. She and many other teachers at the studio incorporate meditation and little bits of wisdom/​inspiration that you can take «off the mat» and into the world. As yoga becomes more popular as a form of exercise, it’s nice to find a place that continues the tradition of yoga as a mind-​body and community experience.

Here are a few words that come to mind when I practice at Radiant: Peaceful, Loving, Soulful, Friendly, Kind and Amazing! The ambience of the studio brings an instant calmness to my day. For years I had always wanted to have a regular yoga practice but I couldn’t seem to find just the right fit between a great teacher and a great studio. I bounced around and tried so many different studios via Groupon, Gilt etc but didn’t really stick to any one studio. until Radiant! I loved it from the moment I stepped into the studio. It’s located in that historical distillery building in South Boston, an old rum factory. All the businesses there are dedicated to creative movement, the arts, music & sustainability. I love the character and charm. I’ve been a regular yogi at Radiant since day one (early 2015)! I highly recommend it.

I love Radiant Yoga Boston. The studio itself is big and beautiful, located in the Distillery Building in South Boston. The staff is so nice. They offer a wide range of cool and unique classes and all of the teachers are excellent. Especially the owner, Chanel who teaches many of my favorite classes and is hands down one of the best, if not the best yoga teachers in Boston. She gives each class member individual attention and focuses on breathing, mindfulness and alignment. I look forward to the rock & flow class every Friday night… you can even request songs to be played during class on their Facebook page. I always leave class feeling like a million bucks, mind and body. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a practiced yogi there is something here for you.

LOVE Radiant Yoga! A hidden gem in South Boston, Radiant Yoga is everything a yogi could dream of. The staff is super friendly, and the owner Chanel is the coolest yogi chick ever with the best vibe! I love the ambience of the studio (hip music, dim lighting, an eclectic vibe) and the teachers are all fabulous. So far I’ve taken classes with Chanel, Kate and Jenna and I’ve thoroughly loved each of their unique teaching styles, and left the studio feeling rejuvenated and energized each time! Highly recommend snagging yourself a spot on the mat if you live in the area!

Love this place! It is by far my favorite yoga studio. The teachers and staff extremely helpful and take the time to speak to me before/​after class about any of my questions. I love the heated class and love have many bolsters and props the studio has. There is a sense of community and a genuine love for yoga at the studio. If you have the opportunity to take a class there do so and you will see what I am talking about.

A hidden oasis for yoga lovers!
Radiant Yoga is my new favorite studio. I was welcomed with soothing lights, music, and vibes. The atmosphere is incredible. The teachers are encouraging, kind, and worked with me! My teacher, Chanel, respected my ability/​flexibility but encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. Doing so, I was able to touch my forehead to my knee! May seem ridiculous, but for this yo-​yo yogi – it was everything. Radiant Yoga made me feel at home. I will definitely return!

This is the most beautiful yoga studio in Boston that I’ve seen. The classes I have been to were candle lit and had a great vibe. I’ve only taken Chanel’s class thus far and she’s great. The Monday night class I take it also heated with the humidity up which has been hard for me to find at Boston studios.

I went to this place because a friend recommended it. The teachers are great, especially Pat and Chanel. The previous review seems inaccurate based on my experience.
Needless to say, the teachers who I met were helpful and generous. I don’t believe it is prudent to base one experience with one person enough to damn the entire company.

I went to this place because the teacher teaches at my friend’s school. I’m sure the classes at her school are great, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with my experience here.
First off, this place is situated in pretty much the sketchiest location ever, complete with booted car and barred-​up windows in the general vicinity.
The teacher, who recommended she come, did not tell us that there is little to no public parking outside the building, which is not readily accessible via public transportation. I spent 10 minutes driving around looking for a place to put my car, and as a result (well, that and construction traffic on the way there, which made a 20 minute drive into closer to 45, I like to be early to things) we were 10 minutes late getting into the building.
The girl teaching the class and the manager were packing up. When we asked what was going on with the class, we got a «Oh, no one showed up so we’re locking the doors.»
I replied stating that we had a hard time parking and we were here now, and asked if perhaps she could consider holding the class since there were still 50 minutes left and I had prepaid.
«Sorry, the manager already locked the door.»
So I asked if she could at least let me use the bathroom. The manager who was standing right there, with a key, but «sorry, we already locked up».
I explained that I preregistered for the class at a cost of 15 dollars and was told that I «probably» got the «new member special». I didn’t. My card was charged 15 dollars. I did not receive a class and was not given a refund. I found this out later when I got home.
I left in tears. After a stressful day at work the last thing I needed to do was drive 45 minutes through Boston and spend ten minutes looking for parking at 8 PM in a sketched out neighborhood only to be told that class wouldn’t be held because «nobody showed up».
Needless to say I won’t be coming back here again.
