Approach

PDC subscribes to the teach-a-man-to-fish* approach to consulting. We educate and work alongside you and your staff to create tailored solutions that will outlast our engagement – though of course we hope you’ll invite us back.

And, unlike consulting firms that attempt to change too much at once, PDC targets change to the areas that yield the greatest returns and lasting improvements.

Collaboration

Collaboration infuses everything we do. We help you build consensus, manage cross-functional teams, and bring you together with your customers, partners, and suppliers. It’s about making connections and lining up resources so you can meet your business objectives…

History

Established in 1990.

John Carter founded Product Development Consulting, Inc. in 1990 in Cambridge, Massachusetts with the goal of turning product ideas into market place realities. Sheila Mello joined John in 1993 and took over complete ownership of the business in 1999 when John retired. They both were pivotal in developing the firm’s comprehensive framework for product development process improvement, uniquely combining metrics and benchmarking data to communicate worldwide best practices. PDC has since grown to become a leader in consulting to Fortune 100 and fast growing organizations seeking to achieve higher market acceptance and product quality.
