Last week, I had a personal baking lesson with Joy making Macarons Japonais: matcha (green tea) flavored shells with both matcha and azuki (red bean) fillings.
After deciding on the lesson, I received a detailed package including the recipe and a grocery list. It really showed that Joy is a very knowledgeable and experienced chef. During our lesson, she demonstrated the proper techniques for whisking and piping, and offered many useful tips. It was a really fun and informative afternoon baking macarons in my home kitchen. If you are looking for hands-​on cooking lessons, I would strongly recommend Joy.

Joy is a very experienced chef and taught everything from how to cut a chicken into fourths (which was easier than I thought) to tips on blanching veggies. We made One Pot Chicken Chasseur, pan roasted asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes.
The time frame was about 2.5 hours and the meal was incredible. Joy was professional, on time, and very helpful in tutoring me. I highly recommend her services.
