History
Established in 2013.
Prettyology is natural beauty for the face. Combining the art and science of beauty, we believe less is more and flawless skin leads to flawless beauty. We strive to thrill every client with unmatched attention to detail, a vision for how to help you look and feel your most beautiful, and a personal and trusting connection with each client.
Our innovative and liberating team-based approach means that every employee is available for every client. There’s none of the «ownership» or competition that’s so common in salons. No egos. No drama. No commissions. Just highly talented and friendly professionals with a common goal: to ensure every client walks out looking their natural best.
Our team is happy to see you regardless of who your appointment is with on any given day. Switch around, try new Prettyologists. If your requested team member isn’t available when it’s convenient for you, she’ll be happy to personally recommend another for you to see. If you’re happy, we’re happy.

Julie M.
Business Owner
Founder Julie Michaud has trained and worked in both New York and Paris under and alongside industry greats Liz Michaels, Kevyn Aucoin, Moira Mulholland and Tracie Martyn. She’s been featured several times on TV’s Chronicle and NECN; KISS108 radio; and in Allure; Harper’s Bazaar; Marie Claire; In Style; Brides; and Boston Magazine.

With over 25 years in the beauty business, Julie is a pioneering force in helping women look and feel their best. She has the distinction of being the first certified permanent makeup (micropigmentation) artist in Boston, and her salon was the first to offer eyelash extension services in Boston. Julie was also an early advocate for medical-grade beauty procedures.
