Pour Le Corps

Not recommended for transgender people. I know this isn’t relevant to most people, but my experience was really unpleasant. I felt objectified, inferior and unsafe.

Before moving from Boston to New York City I went to Patrice for electrolysis regularly. She is wonderful. Scrupulous, meticulous, kind, never any after-​effects,. Her price is quite reasonable, $ 45 or so for complete facial electrolysis.
Very sorry I won’t be able to continue this relationship owing to the move.

I LOVE Gwen. She is really gifted and the aromatherapy facial with her is DIVINE. It’s one of my favorite treats and I look forward to seeing her and getting the totally awesome glow from this treatment. I’ve had other facials and they just don’t compare. This one is SUBLIME. Super relaxing environment and great customer service. I’m hooked on this facial and highly recommend.

Gwen made my skin feel like a baby’s bottom! Her peaceful energy made for a very relaxing experience! I highly recommend Gwen!

Had to quit going because hours are too hard for me to make work. No nights and no Saturdays. Not good if you actually have to work for a living. Still love products.

I just got my first facial using the Groupon, and it was fantastic — my skin looks awesome. Gwen is really nice, and the whole experience was relaxing and fun. Definitely recommend.

I stopped by yesterday with a Groupon, and was extremely pleased. Lovely experience with a knowledgeable, friendly woman named Gwen who provided fantastic customer service.
24 hours later, my skin is looking. Overall, I am very pleased.

Really amazed with the results of the electrolysis on my brows. Now i have a great shape that I have to do ZERO maintenance on. I have no idea why more people don’t do this. I think Patrice is wonderful and she does a really great job.

I’ve been going to Pour le Corps for the past few months for Synergie cellulite treatment, and I have been SO happy with both the results and the service. The treatment has been great — it has been effective at targeting and treating some places on my legs that NOTHING (not exercise, not creams, not healthy diets) have been able to change for years. But perhaps even more importantly, Gwen is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! While going once or twice a week for the treatment could be seen as a time burden, I actually look forward to each session because Gwen makes it fun! She’s flexible with scheduling, and she’s so great that once my Synergie treatments are done, I’ll probably go back to get her facials — I’ve heard they’re great, and I love seeing her! Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Since I last posted Pour Le Corps still provides the best electrolysis service in Boston, and their facials cannot be beat. Patrice has successfully managed the hirsutism I had from PCOS and then from my pregnancy hormones. Gwen successfully gave me the skin I wish I had in my 20s. Soon after I got pregnant, I tried to offset my bad pregnancy skin through weekly visits at Exhale, followed by Bliss. Facials at neither location worked but rather aggravated my sensitive skin. Gwen is a miracle worker on pregnancy and post-​pregnancy skin. I cannot recommend her regular facials and micro-​derm facials enough. Her facials are relaxing, gentle and done with care. I also switched over to her for waxing which was also painless for sensitive pregnant skin. I don’t think there is any one better in Boston, and I’ve been in the City for 15+ years.

Gwen is the best! I’ve been going to her for years for facials and waxing and could not recommend her more highly. She gives the best facials I’ve ever had and is also just a wonderful person!

I absolutely love Pour Le Corps! Gwen has been my esthetician there for over 10 years and I wouldn’t dream of going elsewhere! I get microdermabrasion facials and waxing done regularly. I started seeing Gwen when I started breaking out in my awkward teenage phase. I had tried tons of products to try to clear my skin and nothing worked. Within 3 treatments with Gwen, my face looked so much better and I knew I had found my solution!
Side note: She is also the nicest person you will meet!!!

So guess whose noticing a difference in their cottage cheese;) Yes! After five treatments I can officially say, SYNERGIE CELLULITE TREATMENTS ARE LEGIT!!! At first I thought it was just me… as a women, its in our nature to obsess about things like weight, blemishes, hair, breast etc., so I thought that the reduction in cellulite I saw was a combination of ‘wanting to’ and ‘starring at my butt every night’ – so basically an illusion. Well, not so much… guess who else noticed a difference? My husband. O.k., I know what you’re saying, «husbands will say anything you want them too and/​or anything to prevent death stares and cutting eyes.» You’re right, but here’s what seals the deal. Pictures! Yup. Before I started my Synergie treatments I took pictures of my front and back side to use as a point of reference. Very nice difference. Now keep in mind that 15 treatments are recommended and I’m noticing a change at the ¹⁄₃ mark. The final results should be phenomenal. Not sure if you can post butt pictures on Unilocal but I’m going to try, they’re cropped so if someone tries to upload my picture to a raunchy porn site I’ll just deny it was me, lol. Anyway, if you see butt pics for Pour Le Corps «they’re of my girlfriends butt who went to Pour Le Corps, lol.» If you don’t see them, Unilocal must have taken them down;) At any rate, feel free to email me for «her pictures.»

If I could, I would give it 3 ½ stars.
Pour Le Corps has been very good. I get electrolysis done and I have been going for over a year now. Patrice is very thorough with her job and only begins the next step in the process when she feels like the first step is absolutely complete, which I really appreciate.
Sometimes the scheduling/​desk work is a bit unprofessional in its manner, but I think it is due to the small, intimate style of the salon. It is only Gwen and Patrice (as far as I know), and they run it all. The only other thing that has bothered me quite a bit is Patrice has picked up the phone during our sessions. And not just the salon phone, her own personal cell phone! That is extremely unprofessional to me. She always politely tells the person on the other line that she is busy, but let them leave a voicemail. That’s what its there for! However, Patrice’s services are so well done and I’m seeing such great results that I will let that slide. But only because of the results and great pricing.

I’m not sure what the poster who only gave this place one star for electrolysis was talking about. I started going to Patrice years ago, and she’s so good, that I no longer need her! I have sent numerous friends to her and they all rave about her. I’d gone to other hair removal specialists but they don’t hold a candle to Patrice. I’ve also been seeing Gwen for facials, microdermabrasion and waxing services for several years and she makes one feel so relaxed. A lovely place in a really cool building with gorgeous architectural details. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I really like Pour Le Corps. I’ve only had treatments from Gwen, the owner. I’ve had a facial and some bikini waxes. Gwen is professional and very nice. I don’t get facials often, but by far she has given the best facial. I was confident in her skills as an aestician, which is important when someone is working on your face.
As for waxing, she did a thorough job and uses hard wax, which I prefer.
It’s small inside — but cute. And it’s also clean.
I would recommend Pour Le Corps to a friend or any of you reading this review.

First of all, it’s the only place in Boston (excluding the burbs) that carries Jane Iredale make up. It’s located in a nice building with a really great old elevator (with the metal cage doors that you have to open yourself). Patrice was very friendly and spent a hour picking out the perfect shade of foundation that matches my skin. She finally put on three shades on me, one after another to see which one I (and my partner sitting quietly though obviously bored on a nearby chair) thought looked best.
What was great about this place was that it was very low key, friendly, and didn’t rush you. If you’re into the whole modern look with pretty but mean young people walking around with judgemental looks on their faces, this place isn’t for you. This is not a scene place. It’s a comfortable low light home with genuinely helpful people who will give you advice and do an excellent job.
Patrice didn’t try to sell me the whole line, and even recommended products they didn’t carry! She also didn’t charge me for the make-​up application because I was going to buy the foundation! Definitely a place I’ll return for refills and to try something else that they offer.

I came in with high expectations, but was incredibly disappointed with my whole experience at Pour Le Corps. The customer service was very unprofessional and came out completely unconvinced that the woman there could do a proper electrolysis treatment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
