Best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Many many chef specialties to enjoy here. Steamed scallops, oysters in half shell, lobster with ginger and scallion, spicy salty squid, shrimp with mayo, stir fried pea pod stems, baked salted chicken, the list goes on and on!!! Perfect place for late night dining as they close at 2:30am. Feels like a hole in the wall but in a good way. Have had many a wonderful dinner experience in this basement dining establishment. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The food is consistently good and the waitstaff are super friendly and funny to boot.

Shitiot waiter couldn’t bring us water without having a seizure, lost his damn mind when we asked him to split the bill. Shitiots in general.

They are the best arrogant about it. Small place weird seating rules must come with a certain number of people or if your lucky be seated in 45 minutes at someone else’s. Crazy huh. Lobster expensive but worth it. Cantonese style. Wings Rice etc. On point. They need to chill on attitude. But they are the best no doubt.

I’ve been to Peach Farm twice and both times have disappointed. The food is mediocre but the customer service is atrocious. If you’re planning to eat here, make sure to CHECKTHERECEIPT to make sure that they haven’t added any other dishes and CHECKYOURBANKACCOUNT in case they swipe multiple times without telling you. For some reason, any time my friends go here, they always mess up a dish, by either bringing the wrong dish to them or not giving it to my friends then, once realizing their mistake, taking it away to another table. The first time, my friend paid with a credit card and one of the waitresses swiped the card twice, charging his card more than $ 160 when the original price was around $ 80. When we confronted them about it, they argued back for about half an hour until they finally agreed to pay him back the second half that they took. The second time I went, the waitresses brought the wrong dish. All these times, I would’ve understood and have been more lenient because being a waitress isn’t an easy thing. However, none of the waitresses showed any remorse or apology. They were unprofessional and rude. Then at the end, they told us they didn’t take credit card and that we had to pay in cash even though wee clearly saw this waitress take the credit card of a customer a table over. After arguing with this lady, she finally took the card, gave it back to us while we were splitting money between ourselves. The same waitress took a twenty dollar bill on the table and said that was the tip. This restaurant is literally the worst in Chinatown. If you can, please avoid it.

I always come here for family reunions. This is pretty much our go-to place! We had a little get together yesterday night around 7PM. The food is always fresh and flavorful and the service is super prompt. The waiters are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and pleasant. I always found this restaurant to be pretty warm and not very well ventilated, however. We ordered the usual plates: steamed lobster, sweet and sour pork, stir-fried watercress, spicy green beans, seafood and vegetables, mixed vegetable lo mein, crispy fried bean curd, ginger and scallions broccoli chicken, fried tofu, and a big bowl of rice. The portion sizes are quite large– we had eleven people at the table and all of this was enough to fill us up!

I would go here for food every night after clubbing. Its just the best spot for late night chinese food, even though I come here for damily dinners too. Dont expect five star service, this is chinatown. They all work as a group and somehow manage to be pretty efficient at what they do. They are not going to converse with you unless it is really necessary. Get the peapod stems, ginger scallion beef. Salty fish fried rice!

Great food. The highlight is obviously their live fish, but IMHO the rest of their menu is even better. Service is exceptionally polite and almost too fast. Drink menu is very small(3 beers, a red wine and a white wine) but at least they have Tsing Tao! There’s a reason most local chefs come here to eat once they get off work.

When it comes to good Chinese food, I am very picky and try to look for the most authentic places. Peach Farm in Boston Chinatown is mediocre but for those who have nothing in Florida, this place is a good teaser for the motherland. The inside décor and environment is like the typical Chinese restaurant, simple and practical. There’s live seafood available at market price. Hot tea s you’re seated. The menu contains traditional dishes as well as Americanized options. From Peking duck to chicken and broccoli, there’s something for everyone. Go with a big group and order various things to try. That’s the way to go! Me and my friend ordered half a crispy roast duck, 8 delights clay pot, and a bowl of preserved veggies shredded duck noodle soup. The duck was well flavored and roasted but they gave us the fattest parts of the duck and there was barely any meat on the bones. It was like eat oily duck fat under the skin. I guess they thought they should keep the better parts for a bigger party… Wasn’t happy. The fried tofu clay pot was very bland. The noodle soup was good but very little preserved veggies and alot of bean sprouts. Usually it’s made with no other vegetable except the preserved cabbage leaves… overall not very good to me.

Outstanding — I’ve never seen the crispy duck with taro anywhere and it was amazing, as was the ginger scallion lobster. Definitely check this place out

I was in the Boston area for he Seafood Trade Show. It was the last night so we stayed up late, searched for late night dinning and found this place, they are opens until 3am. When we walked in, we are the only customers because it was already 12:00am. We asked the server if they had a Chinese liquor which is 55proof, it’s literally gets on fire. She told us wait, and wonderfully she brings it to us even though the restaurant only serves beer and wine. We ordered the duck and lobster, the food was fantastic, it went really well with the Chinese alcohol. Only downfall was the next day, we were so hung over, we almost missed our flight. Give this place a try, servers don’t speak English well but they are very friendly and also willingly to help and serve. Coming back next month for my daughters Harvard trip.

My family’s go-to restaurant for special occasions and holidays, it’s always fantastic. Food is fresh every single time. Fail-proof orders: — Pea pod stems — Salt and pepper squid — Large clams with vermicelli and garlic — Sizzling frog pot — Lobster with garlic and scallion — Fresh whole shrimp — Fish maw soup Best thing to do is go with a large group of people. That way you can order a bunch of stuff and try everything.

Out of the few late-night(open past 2 am) Chinese food spots in Boston, I’d have to say I like this one the most. When we got there ~1 am it was pretty empty, but by 2:30/3 am the place was packed. Not much of an ambiance or service to speak of, but it gets the job done. We didn’t go with their recommended seafood dishes, since we wanted something simpler: 1) Kung pao chicken — I know, so basic, but we were pleasantly surprised by how authentic-tasting it was. Not swimming in corn starch nor overly salty/greasy like at some restaurants — I’m a fan! Would order again. 2) Basic eggplant dish — also a fan. Lighter than how most Chinese restaurants make it, not greasy at all and authentic-tasting. Would also get again. Can’t speak to the other dishes, but overall we were pleasantly surprised by how authentic/non-greasy these basic dishes were for a late-night place.

We were here on Christmas Eve and it was packed. They said there is an hour wait but it was more like 30 minutes or so. I didn’t find the place very clean especially that they use table cloths and there were oil stains on it. The portions are quite large so the four of us ordered three dishes and an appetizer with a bowl of white rice and they were quite enough. Peking ravioli was tasty but it was more like fried dumpling than ravioli. Beef and noodles had a lot more noodles than beef and too fatty for my taste. Mu Shu pork was good but I liked jumbo shrimp the best it had bits of fresh ginger in it. Overall it’s an okay place but too fatty for my taste and not much taste more oil than spices.

After coming back from a six hour drive trip, this is the place my family goes to for dinner. Either that, or whenever we have family visiting Boston, this is where we eat! Why? Because Peach Farm has huge family combos, so it’s much easier than picking out eight entrees and sides! It’s easy to readjust or add food if there is ever a situation. I love eating here because personally, it fills me up without getting me into a huge food coma. The food comes out fast, too. I’m a regular here so they know me and my family, so they always knows to bring out their dessert right after our meal and even gives us extra to being to go! Bottom line is, craving some Chinese food at 12am? Come here. They open late and has a lot of good food waiting your way!

I’m going to preface this review by saying that I’m not very familiar with authentic Chinese food. This review is representative of how I found the food, but I’m certainly not going to pretend I’m an expert on the cuisine. I’ll start off by saying that the service is fantastic and deserves an A+. Our servers were very nice, seated us immediately and came by the table constantly to refill our water glasses and take empty plates away. Also, it only took about 15 minutes for us to get our food. We ordered the Orange Flavoured Crispy Beef, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and Peking Duck with Vegetables. The serving sizes were all very generous, but I wasn’t dazzled by the quality. The Orange Flavoured Crispy Beef was my favourite, although I’ve had better at take-out places. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also alright, but lacked a lot of flavour(however, I enjoyed it a lot more when I mixed in the Orange Beef). I didn’t eat very much of the Peking Duck because it had a very unpleasant texture and was cooked in a gooey sauce that I didn’t like at all.

Over the years I’ve noticed a trend when this question is asked in Boston travel forums, «Where’s the best place to eat in Chinatown?» More often than not, Peach Farm gets mentioned. This trip we figured that it was about time we gave it a try. We got there around 5 p.m. on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Peach Farm, despite its name, specializes in seafood. The restaurant is in the basement and has a fairly small dining area. The décor is nothing to write home about but you’re there for the good food so it’s easy to get past the décor. Our server was prompt getting to us and brought a complimentary pot of tea, which we thought was a nice touch. He was friendly and knew the menu very well. We both started with soup. I ordered wonton soup while my husband got hot and sour soup. I really liked their wonton soup. It had 3 good sized wontons that were generously filled with pork. Plus there was some pork slices in it. My one complaint was that some of the sliced pork was on the tough side. Otherwise, the broth was flavorful. I tasted some of my husband’s soup. The broth was very thick with plentiful stock plus it was on the spicy side. We had looked at the menu online and I was interested in trying one of their lobster dishes. I looked at the Unilocal photos and it appeared that this dish wasn’t difficult to eat. So, I chose lobster with scallions and garlic. This dish consists of a whole lobster that is cut up and left in the shell. Instead of being cut finely, the ginger was in large slices. The scallions were more thinly sliced. Photos can be deceiving — the lobster wasn’t that easy to eat. You have to use your hands as it isn’t easy to just pull out with a fork. Plus, the way it was cut, I found an occasional piece of shell in with the meat. Still, it was an enjoyable dish. The sauce, while stingy, did impart great flavor and the lobster was properly cooked. All that said, if we were to go again, I would give the lobster a pass due to its being messy to eat. My husband had shrimp with mixed veggies and enjoyed it. The shrimp portion was generous and there was a good variety of veggies. This is a mild dish. Each entrée comes with a small bowl of white rice. If you order a fish entrée, the fish is really fresh. By really fresh I mean this —the people in the table next to us ordered barramundi and the server came to their table with a large bucket. In the bucket was the live barramundi that was about to become their dinner! He wanted to show them the fish before it got cooked. Peach Farm is worth a visit if you want to eat in Chinatown. It’s not far from the Chinatown T station on the orange line. The T’s trip planner on their website gives good walking directions from the T station.

You know that feeling you get after eating IHOP? You know what I’m talking about. Where the food just rests uncomfortably in your stomach. Got that same feeling after eating at Peach Farm the other night. Every dish that came out was just smothered in oil: the fried rice, beef chow foon, salt and pepper shrimp, clams, even the pea pod stems! I felt like my throat was closing up from all that grease. The only notable item was the steamed oyster in black bean sauce. Why is it so hard to find clean, healthy Chinese food? Now that I think of it… I only come here on the weekends after 2am. Let’s keep it that way.

I have three words for you: Ginger scallion lobster. Service started out rocky, but by the end of the night, my friend became best friends with our waiter despite the language barrier. You only need one gold-star staff member to make you forget how mistreated you were in the beginning… right? We ordered 4 dishes for 5 people and the ginger scallion lobster was the only standout dish. The lobster is fresh(out of their little fish tank in the entryway LOL) and it was, by far, the meatiest lobster I’ve ever ate. They bring out the live lobster out to your table to see if you approve of the size before cooking it, so that’s a fun part of the experience, as well. Last words: parking is a PAIN. Take the T or über it to chinatown.

This place is grimy as f* so you’d expect delicious, greasy Chinese food, right? Not really. the food was mediocre but at least it came out super fast. Came here around 1AM with friends and we ordered the salty fish fried rice, crab rangoons, peking style pork chops, and fried chicken. They didn’t have the fried chicken so we asked the waiter what he recommended and he said the boiled steamed chicken. What??? My dad loves this stuff but it was cold and gross here, even with the garlicky or chili sauce. I think he was just trying to get rid of an order that someone else didn’t want because it came out in like 3 min after ordering. Everything else was alright. This place only wins b/c it’s open late til 3AM, which is a gem considering it’s Boston. So if you’re feenin’ for Chinese food after the clubs and bars close, definitely hop on over to Peach Farm because everything tastes good when you’re drunk and hungry. Otherwise there are so many more promising places in Chinatown to eat during the day.

I’ve been frequenting Peach Farm way before I joined Unilocal. The best dish on their menu is the Cantonese style stir fried Lobster with Ginger and Scallions. But tonight I had one of their cheapo rice plates to go since I was working and alone. No family style dining this evening. I ordered the Roast Pork Rice Plate with Chinese Broccoli. It’s a large portion(as are most rice plate dishes). However, I was disappointed at the quality of the pork. It was very fatty and kind of gross. Hey I know it’s a $ 6.00 rice plate but gimme a freakin’ break here! Feed me something that will make me wanna come back for more — not something that’s gonna make me wanna hurl. Not an unreasonable request is it? Normally I would have rated them with 5 stars… But not tonight. Let’s see if they redeem themselves next time.
