What makes an education remarkable?

Passionate teachers, an engaging curriculum, committed parents and a strong vision are essential. Appealing spaces and places to learn are valuable, and location is important. Harder to define — but equally vital — is a sense of spirit, community and purpose.

Welcome to Park Street School and Park Street Kids, a continuous, integrated Christian-based education for children, toddler through sixth grade.

Park Street School and Park Street Kids are grounded in a content-rich curriculum that lays a foundation of knowledge, built upon and expanded in each grade. Our children engage in hands-on activities, learn to think creatively and solve problems methodically. Their growth as unique individuals — academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically — is fostered with intention in a nurturing environment. They develop a strong sense of self and place, learning to invest in their communities and the world around them.

Come visit us — a nurturing environment where play is intentional, content is rich and building character is a priority!

History

Established in 2000.

Park Street Kids (PSK) began to meet the need for a new preschool alternative for families in Boston. Long waiting lists at nearby programs provided evidence that the demand for high-quality preschools far exceeded the supply. A collaborative effort led by a group of mothers, Park Street Kids, Inc. was officially incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the fall of 1999. In September of 2000, we opened our doors to 36 children who joined four teachers and a director. Today, we care for more than 100 preschool children per year. Park Street School (PSS) — a high-quality elementary school followed in 2002 — an outgrowth of Park Street Kids. Purchasing a school building in Beacon Hill, PSS officially opened its Brimmer Street doors in September of 2005. In the fall of 2011, PSS opened an additional campus to provide space for its Kindergarten class. We now educate 200 students through sixth grade, with a total enrollment of 300 or more students at PSS and PSK from Boston neighborhoods.
