great food, but they never picked up the phone. interesting mix of bar meets club meets great sushi and open late with lots of veggie options.

One of my favorite bar of all times! The food is great, the drinks are terrific, and the staffs are super friendly. It’s such a shame they closed indefinitely. Hopefully they’ll move to Quincy!

I love this little place, though their lay out could use some work. Love their Christmas Maki, and both the veggie gyoza and pork gyoza are lovely. love that it stays open late! seriously, been so many times I just want to stop somewhere for food and libations mid-week and perfectly on my way home – this is the place. LOVE you OWL Station.

The sushi is always good, the service is great, and they stay open during their posted business hours, which many other nearby places do not. I usually get the autumn or southie maki, the pork gyoza is consistently great, and all the rolls and sashimi we’ve tried have been above average. They usually have good drink specials, and it’s also actually not a bad bar to stop by to just have a drink.

Well, I guess good things do have to come to an end. Service was absolutely horrible tonight. The food was good, well kinda, I was so pissed by the time it got to me I could not enjoy it. So I will be checking this on off my list. Any suggestions as to where I can get good sushi n Boston?

Sushi is average. Not the best I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. Its a little pricey but convenient being right down the street in Southie. Delivery service can be a little slow

I’ve ordered delivery from here a few times and I can’t really complain. The sushi was great, the miso soup was alright, the rice was a little undercooked once but other times its been fine. Downfall is its a little pricey. Teriyaki House used to be my Go To when it came to sushi in Southie but Owl Station took that crown. I’d definitely order from here again.

Sashimi was great — very fresh and room temperature(fresh sashimi should NOT be cold /freshly thawed like some places do). They also had a special $ 3 Sapporo draft promotion, which was amazing as well. The udon, which looked absolutely amazing since it was well stacked with a variety of items(mushrooms, sliced onions, naruto, tempura shrimp, egg, chicken, ect) lacked in taste — the udon especially wasn’t anything special — I buy chewier udon that would have went much better with this bowl. Next time, probably will be coming strictly for sushi and beer.

Excellent service! Even if I’m ordering takeout they tell me to sit down and have some water while I wait. I was even offered tea while I waited once. And the sushi is good so I keep coming back. I’ve also dined in plenty of times — I love sitting by large windows when they open them. I came here late at night while intoxicated once — they had an entire late night menu which was cheap. That was over a year ago… I wonder if they still have the late night menu. Definitely a good spot in southie for sushi and takeout!

Decent sushi, service is quite bad. Order from here several times but the last two times they got the order wrong and took almost two hours to deliver. I will probably get sushi elsewhere in the future.

I wanted some late night sushi. I ended up getting the sashimi sampler as take out. It was okay. It came with 6 pieces for $ 9. Over the phone I asked how many pieces and they told me 6 – 8. The pieces were not of consistent sizes. The tuna was extra thick but the salmon was a third of its size. Good place to go if you are just craving some sushi.

I LOVE this place for sushi. I don’t make it to southie enough, but when I do this place has my heart. Such great sushi, one of my favorite in the city. Come here. Take down some Sake and a couple of rolls, your taste buds will thank you.

Fantastic casual sushi place in Southie. The food is always super fresh. We usually get delivery but on the times we go to the restaurant we sit at the bar and have a blast. I highly recommend Owl Station

Sushi was good, music was awesomely wierd. There was a lot of boys II Men. Service was friendly. I ordered a scorpion bowl for one and it came in a mason jar. Very strange. The mango roll was good. I accidentally ordered something that was deep fried and I did not like it but my bad for not reading more carefully. P. S. Disappointing lack of owls in the décor. Not going to lie went their because of the name. I love me some owls.

Me and my boyfriend went here on a groupon looking for some sushi during our sushi craving phase. We went around lunchtime on a weekday and walked into the restaurant to find it completely empty. Despite the lack of customers, the restaurant itself looked very retro and modern, with dim lights and a clean space. The waitress was very nice and came immediately, catering to whatever questions we had and helped us in selecting what we want. We ordered a good amount of sushi and since we were the only ones there, it all came within 10 minutes. The avocado salad was very, very tasty! Both me and my boyfriend didn’t really like avocado too much but we found that the flavored were really balanced and mixed well together. The other sushi were good but was nothing out of the ordinary. However I would like to note the volcano maki which was absolutely amazing! Such a great blend of favors and was beautifully plated and crafted. Overall, I do like Owl station. Do not be discouraged if you don’t see many customers — that just means that they will prepare your order faster and provide better service to you.

Tuna is to die for. This sushi is some of the best I have had in a while. Plus an entire menu of sakis. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and the owner himself came over and was very helpful as well. The entire time all you could hear from our table was mmmm and soooo gooood. Plus with the ambiance this place is a great pick. It wpuld good great for a date because uou can hear yourself and also good for girls night out. It’s now our new girls night out dinner and drinks place. Don’t miss it. PS try the tuna tataki, tuna is freshest I have tasted in a while and the sauce is a great compliment, delicious.

No mo’ snow, fo’ sho’. I came here the Saturday after that major snow storm a few weeks back. So, I got to Broadway at 1:15pm and it turned out the T wasnt open until 2pm. I decided to step into Owl which is like right across the street or something. The place is like fancy or whatever. There were five construction guys sitting at the bars, snapping the twig like chopsticks whilst eating their sushi and completely empty otherwise. It was a bit chilly but hey… Miso soup, kind of gross, not that hot. My bento box of salmon and veggies were fresh but in small proportion. The rice was sticky and good. I also had the pork gyoza, niether here nor there. This old lady came in with her even older husband, both had dyed their hair and smelled of cigarettes and cheap perfumes. The waitress ID’d them, she probably couldn’t tell at all what age range they were in, so she panicked instead of just asking«LIKEHOWOLDAREYOU? NOREALLY? 40 or 70?!» she asked for IDs. HILARIOUS. They got pissed off and left. I don’t even think they actually ordered a beverage?

3.5 stars for Owl Station. I’ve been actively searching for a new go-to sushi place in my new digs, and Owl Station seems to be the winner. I’ve been here a few times and the service has always been on point. They have a more than decent, reasonably priced menu and everything I’ve ordered has been great(I have yet to venture outside of the sushi/salad portions of the menu). I had to knock a star off because the one time I ordered for delivery they sent me the wrong roll, and it was a roll that I do not like. Still, I’ll keep coming back until I find something better!

Went back here last night… and had a BLAST. The bartender, Sarah, was so friendly and fun, had a great vibe to her. Met one of the owners, i believe, Benny… also a blast to be around. The people who were at the bar were all friendly and we all had great laughs over good drinks/shots. I must say, I wouldn’t mind coming here on a regular basis if every experience would be like last night. Everyone DEF. should hit up this place, seriously.

A little bit skanky, but tasty — kinda like South Boston. Cashed in a Groupon for a work lunch, and was surprised to find the place COMPLETELYEMPTY on a Friday afternoon. The atmosphere was certainly clubby — LED-lit glowing glass, dark faux-granite fixtures, and recessed lighting. Interesting scene for lunch, but certainly fit for a seal-the-deal kind of evening adventure. Location directly across the street from the Broadway station should help this place out. But first, they’ve got to do something about the odd façade that still evokes yet another Broadway Irish bar. For all the ambitions for glamour, food prices were surprisingly reasonable. Lunch specials ran $ 8.95, and included an excellent sushi combo with a six-piece tuna maki(large cubes of purposefully cut fish, not a menage of scraps as attempted by lesser establishments), with four assorted pieces of nigiri. Flavor and texture were nicely done, a little bit more dense than Teriyaki House, it’s proletarian next-door neighbor. Also got the Christmas Roll($ 12), with spicy tuna topping a delicately crunchy shrimp tempura roll. Apparently there’s no consensus on what makes up a Christmas Roll — Thelonius Monkfish in Cambridge offers a much more highbrow version topped instead with salmon roe and seasoned seaweed. Nevertheless, the Owl’s was an excellent roll. I wonder if they allow sake bombs.
