Novicki Painting and Demolition

Steve and his team did a wonderful job painting my 5k sq ft office space. We needed to drastically change the color and patch up holes very quickly. Steve was able to come in and get the job done. He was professional, timely and easy to work with. Would recommend!

We were in a bind when we started looking for painters. We decided to list our condo last minute and had neglected our front entryway for about 4 years. We needed the entire front porch, walls, ceiling, dormers, wood detail, etc. cleaned, sanded, and repainted. And we needed it done in just a couple days!
Not only did Steve and his team do a great job, but they were able to rearrange their schedule to make it happen in our timeframe. Steve watched the weather hourly to make sure we weren’t delayed and recommended changing our schedule to make sure we weren’t rained out. He was right. If we waited, the job wouldn’t have gotten done.
They did great work and the price they quoted us was $ 600-​$ 1000 less than other quotes we got. But we didn’t sacrifice quality. The work looked great. When our mailman walked on the freshly painted steps and it needed a touch up, he didn’t complain or make a fuss. He just offered to redo it with no problem.

Steve and his crew did a beautiful job painting my aluminum siding. I got three estimates, they were the most affordable and I am so happy with their work! They started on a Monday and worked hard to get it done in less than 4 days. They were very neat, professional and it was a pleasure talking to them throughout the process! They will be the first company I call for the next job!

Steve and his team are awesome! They are so hard-​working, knowledgeable, and honest — working with Steve was a great experience from start to finish. We were painting the exterior of our house. I called Steve and he got back to me immediately to schedule a time to come out to the house to give me a quote. I had the quote within days and it was competitive with the figures i’d received from other companies. He had many more positive Unilocal reviews than the other companies so we decided to go with them. Best decision ever. They started and finished the project on time. They were here early and stayed late to get the job done. We had a bunch of rotted window sills and shingles that they took care of no problem. They were neat, organized and professional when they were here — they didn’t even mind my kids watching them from the windows from room to room. I’ve already referred them to two friends and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in a heartbeat if the need arises. Overall an great experience!

Steve and his team are the best in the business. Hard-​working, knowledgeable, and honest. Prices are reasonable; quality is outstanding.

I had Steven paint two floors of my house. He’s great — responsive, communicative, and does good work.

We recently hired Steve and his crew to do some painting for us in our condo, which grew to include some demo and refinish work as well. We later even added some rewiring work for the power /​cables to mount a TV. Steve was more than receptive to the added work and growing scope and was not only fair with his pricing, but did an outstanding job. We were extremely pleased with the result and are certain we will be calling him again in the future. We have already referred him to a neighbor and he and his team will be repainting the common areas of our brownstone in the coming weeks. You won’t be disappointed.

Steve and his crew are outstanding. We ran into several carpentry problems that they were able to fix. The rooms are will painted and the guys are fabulous. To the one negative reviewer. Call Steve again. I was working with him at this time and he was in excruciating pain prior to his surgery.

Steve and his team did a terrific job painting our condo. They were recommended to us by a friend — and they were professional, reliable, and courteous. As others have noted, their pricing is competitive and fair. We were very pleased with the quality of their work and would happily contact them again for other projects. In fact, we just recently did! We needed some more trim work/​doors done, and they once again did a wonderful job. I recommend Steve and his team very highly.

I was really pleased with everything Steve and his team did. They painted a one bedroom rental unit for me as well as took out an old galley kitchen and put in new cabinets and countertops to prepare the unit for a new renter. It looks great and was just what we wanted. They worked super fast and cleaned up great. I will use them again for projects. I will never paint again because they did it so well and for a reasonable price.

I’d like to be able to actually review Novicki Painting but I wasn’t able to get that far. I spoke with Steve over email and was excited that such a highly praised company on Unilocal would possibly be repainting my condo. Steve was supposed to show up around 7pm, coming from another job. His GPS died and he entered the wrong street name before it died, so he wasn’t able to make it. In an attempt to get him to the right place, I emailed him my tenants’ phone number. Well, he called after he already left and I guess they told him that I wanted the painting done ASAP, when I told Steve I only wanted an estimate done ASAP. After we reconnected over email for scheduling the estimate, he seemed very offended and dismissive when I told him I would still be seeking out estimates and that painting at a later date (he mentioned mid September in his reply) was fine. I found his attitude to be very rude, especially after having to deal with his mistake. I’m not sure how he treats other people, but I personally wouldn’t recommend interacting with him.

My wife and I recently had Steve and his crew paint 5 rooms and do a ton of trim work (sanding/​priming/​painting), in our new home. We are extremely happy with the quality of work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have painting done to their home.

Steve and team painted the exterior of our south boston condo this past month and the whole experience was great and painless. Steve is incredibly friendly and trustworthy, and was very communicative during the whole process, especially when we were delayed a bit because of weather. Once they got started, they were super fast and the quality was top notch. I definitely recommend working with Steve!

I just bought a new condo and wanted to give the whole place a new coat of paint. I found Novicki Painting on Unilocal and emailed Steve. He replied right away and was able to come out a couple days later to give me an estimate. His estimate was about a third of another company’s!
Lucky for me, they had a job that was postponed, so they could start the next day. He and his crew was already there and unloading when I showed up 5 minutes before they were scheduled to show up. They started on a Thursday morning, and the original estimate was that they were going to be finished on Sunday, but they finished early on Saturday. After looking at such the amazing job they did with the rooms they did paint, the rooms I hadn’t wanted painted stood out so badly that I asked if he could paint those too.
He brought in a floor guy to give me an estimate on refinishing the floors when I mentioned I wanted the floors done too. When the walls sucked up more paint than expected, he offered to pick up the paints for me because I didn’t have a car.
They did a very thorough job, even painting behind the stove and fridge. They are very friendly and helpful, and the place looks amazing.

I hired Steve to paint my apartment ceiling after the water heater upstairs blew out. His price was the best of all the bids, and he was able to get the job done within a week after we first met. The work looked great and was finished in under a day. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I needed a contractor and painter to do repairs and have our entire unit painted. I called Novicki Painting and Demolition after reading all of the positive reviews on Unilocal and other sites. I spoke with Steve who was extremely responsive and came to our apartment shortly after I contacted him to provide a bid. From the initial meeting, I could tell that Steve knew his craft as he was able to provide us practical, cost effective solutions for repairs that other contractors couldn’t.
What I really like about Steve is his professionalism, honesty, and his insight. Steve was not only on-​site managing the project to make sure it was on schedule, but was working throughout the unit as well. It is a rarity to find someone who takes as much ownership and pride as Steve does. More importantly, Steve instills this same work ethic in his employees as well. He leads by example, and I believe this is what distinguishes him from the other contractors /​painters in business.
We were living in the unit during the course of the project. In addition, I was working from home during the project as well. Initially, I was afraid that things would get hectic, but these guys are extremely respectful and I never once felt it was an inconvenience to have them working on the unit.
We are extremely pleased with the results (from the high quality of the repairs to the precision of the trim work on our crown molding)! We were lucky to have such a friendly, trustworthy, respectful, talented crew work with us to help improve our home! After the project completed, our once tired apartment got a fresh new look. Steve and his crew even came back after the project completed to help with addition repairs in our home! We will definitely keep Steve in our rolodex for future home improvements to come!

We recently had them paint our master bedroom. I came across their Unilocal listing and saw all of the positive reviews so I gave them a call.
Steve came out and gave me a bid that was much more reasonable than two others I had received. Steve and his guys came out on time, did the work very efficiently and did a great job.
We were so happy with the results that we are having them back to paint several other rooms in our house.

I recently purchased a condo and had the entire place fully repainted by Steven and his crew. I couldn’t have asked for more of a flawless experience. His attention to my specific timetable and price point were spot on and the results were outstanding.

I religiously use Unilocal to gauge businesses and relied on it heavily to find a painter for my new (to me!) house. We needed every inch of our 1930’s colonial home repainted (and some of it de-​wallpapered). We’re talking walls, trim, ceilings, closets, doors… everything!
Novicki Painting came in with the lowest bid (by far — at least 1K less than the 6 painters I got quotes from). I couldn’t be happier with my decision!
Steve and his guys came when they said they would, they worked long hours, and they devoted extra time to my project when it took longer than expected (my ceilings took 5 coats of paint to cover up the damage from the previous owner’s smoking!). There were lots of little things that came up and Steve kept me updated every step of the way.
I’ve had people in and out of my house for the last two months doing different jobs: plumbers, contractors, carpenters, electricians, etc. Steve’s was by far the best team I’ve worked with overall. He made things that were stressful feel effortless. He was always there when I had questions or needed something else. He came up with ideas on how to make our great house — amazing. I would hire his team 100 times over.
There are a few things that need touching up (some because of other people’s work — some because half the time I had him painting in the dark because we had no lights!) and Steve has been incredible about staying in touch and staying available to come do the final touches on our paint job.
I’ll keep you updated on the final pieces of this job — but if it’s anything like all the work he’s done thus far — it will be perfect!

The previous reviews here on Unilocal did not lead me wrong, and I was very happy with the quality of work and the timeliness of Steve and his team. After making an initial contact for an estimate, Steve responded to me very quickly and came to see the repairs that needed to be done within a couple of days. This was in stark contrast to several other businesses I contacted who could not even get to my place to do an estimate for a couple of weeks! Steve and team ended up finishing the repairs before another place would have even been able to take a look.
He started on the repairs and painting even earlier than he initially thought and had the work completed in a few days. I felt like this was no small feat since a water leak above my unit had left several areas of wall and ceiling stripped down to the bare wood and they had to deal with matching up to the ancient plaster. His team left my damaged walls and ceiling looking better than they were to start with and I was so happy to have my home back in order so quickly.
