Neptune Convenience & Liquor

Always, Always, ALWAYS check the expiration dates (if you can) on anything you buy here. I bought some chips on one occasion that were stale and on another, a 2 liter soda that was completely flat. A root beer with absolutely no fizz! Yuck! And if that doesn’t beat all… when returning the chips (practically immediately) the guy got an attitude with ME!

This is usually my last stop for liquor before I come home every Thursday (and Friday… and Saturday) night! Needless to say, the alcohol selection is effing good.
Beer: they always have the staples that stupid kids drink (bud light, MGD) but they always have seasonals and other ales that you crave throughout the year! They definitely stay with the beer trends year round.
Liquor: They pretty much have everything you need for vodka– absolute (in every flavor), Grey Goose, Bel, etc. Their scotch selection LOOKS good. I know that they have the traditional stuff — Dewers, Black Label, Maker’s MAAAAAHk (but then again, I only drink scotch when I’m stuck in my 66 year old, man persona twice a year). For all you douch bags and frat boys, they carry Jägermeister and Red Bull, and they even have limes sitting at the register for your Corona light!
Wine: my fav. My guess is they have a wine taster who acts as the buyer for this quaint but GREAT store because almost every bottle of wine I’ve bought from here is just damn good. The wine selection is limited, but has all of your staple red, whites, and a few desserts.
Rest assured that you’ll be in good hands when you come in here too. I’ve talked to employees about anything from starting to cary Malbec (which they did shortly after!) to having recently lost a lot of weight and not fitting in their sweaters anymore! Lastly, you won’t be overwhelmed here, but they have everything that really matters!
