A review for an Ice Cream vending machine if you like this hold on to your seats because I’m going after the crane game in the back of your bowling ally next. To be fair the MooBella Machine pays out every time(well almost assuming it doesn’t jam or have a computer malfunction) the joy stops there. The first time you use the machine is a novelty something fun, having direct control over your exact flavorings and mix ins but that’s where it ends. The end product is good but is it worth the price, I’m not so sure. The best description for the final product is average not much different than what your going to find in a store brand at your local grocery, it will due in a pinch but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this frozen treat.

Way over rated, Great draw for kids. Ice Cream is Average. I paid $ 4 per cup portions are small. Not worth it to me.

I’m biased because my best friend works for MooBella and she works super hard at this company making ice cream super fun and yummy for people. During my visit to Boston’s New England Aquarium, I had a chance to try out MooBella at the aquarium food court where there’s a MooBella ice cream machine. It’s the first time I’ve seen ice cream served like that, so I was amazed. The ice cream tasted great, and I was glad that the mix-ins were very evenly distributed in the ice cream of my choice. I would promote everyone to try this fun ice cream machine out, at least once just giving it a chance. I think the process is just as fun as the ice cream. I’m always up for new things, so if you’re like me, have fun getting your ice cream as well as enjoying it! :)

(I’m reviewing a MACHINE. Is this where things are heading? Robots cooking for us, serving us, telling us the specials, saying ‘have a nice day’ and maybe expecting a tip too? Yes indeedie this is where we’re heading… robots, thinking machines, androids, everywhere — all very fab with me, very Kraftwerk. Ok, a little spooky too. But think… 50 years from now in class… «Sir, what were the first cooking robots like in the olden days, were they any good?» «Well my child, all you have to do is look up the first Unilocal!reviews from back in the web 2.0 days» «Web? Unilocal?WTF? — teacher you are way too old!» So future child of the future — just for you here is my review of our embryonic robo-cuisine advancement in common era 2007…) MooBella ice cream robot — a vending machine that mixes room temperature ingredients and flash freezes them with liquid nitrogen to provide you with a serving of FRESH ice cream in a minute for less than 3 dollars. First you choose flavour(from ~20) then add in extras(eg. M&Ms), then choose full-fat or lean, then put in your cup and whooosh… off it goes. It tells you you’re going to be tasting a revolution in ice cream… but the revolution is not the taste. In fact the revelation is that the revolution is the production and the taste is not revolutionary, just a little revolting(!!) Yep, way too gummy and creamy for me. (So, Earth-child of the future… 1 star for taste, but another 2 stars for the techness. Now go ask your robo-teacher if you can visit this historic machine using the school’s Google Transporter. It’s in BU’s food court. circa 2007.)
