My hubby & I were looking for a florist in beacon hill to send flowers to our dad after surgery at MGH but after reading such great reviews about the hospital florist, I called & she was fabulous. She was so helpful & they were very reasonable. She sent up a beautiful arrangement & we couldn’t be happier. Thank you for making a sad situation pleasant!

I placed an order via phone for a bouquet to be delivered to a patient in the hospital. I didn’t know the room number, and that was not a problem. I specified the dollar amount I wanted to spend and she asked me if I wanted any particular flowers or shape of the bouquet. All I asked for was a tall vase of flowers. Two days later, the patient’s daughter acknowledged receiving the flowers and went on and on about how gorgeous they were and how they just made her mother so happy. She sent us a picture of the flowers and they are gorgeous. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of using an outside flower shop, and it all went smoothly using the MGH flower shop! There’s also no delivery charge because volunteers deliver the flowers. If I’m ever(unfortunately) in the position of sending flowers, I’d use their services again in a heartbeat. No hassle and a great product.

I have to start this review with a confession — I love and am addicted to hospital gift shops! Phew, that felt good to admit. I grew up with extended elderly family members at home and by virtue of that, I spent a lot of time in hospitals with them. I have been to them(ie hospitals) all. MGH is the BEST of them all! I have actually done Christmas shopping here. They have Vera Bradley, Stonewall Kitchen, Baggalini … I could go on. They also have a great kid’s section, decent jewelry selection, and a wonderful florist(and the card section — great!). The prices are pretty competitive too. If you have to be here and need a gift(or distraction), go and enjoy.

When you’re ordering flowers, you want to pick a bouquet, know the price and send it to the person as soon as you can. Pretty simple if a florist has been around for a while right? Well, I found that wasn’t the case with a large florist via they’re website and 800 number. In addition to ridiculous fees, they weren’t able to utilize a gift certificate that I had. I heard the MGH flower shop was a decent alternative and found it was fantastic. I ordered in minutes and they shipped the flowers in literally 15 minutes. Fast, good quality and fair prices! Use these guys as an alternative to the large flower delivery services.

This store is so adorable. Vera Bradley bags, adorable home /kitchen goodies, lovely tableware, Stonewall Kitchen goodies, on top of the traditional hospital flower /cards /snacks /toys. You might not even think you are in a hospital when you are there. There is so much packed into this shop — it’s such a treasure to browse!
