MBTA Chinatown Station Orange Line

It’s a kind of dirty station. Dimly lit and overall not particularly well-​kept. There is no restroom at this station, as far as I know. It is one of those stations where you have to get in on the right side of the street to catch the train going in the right direction (look out for «to Forest Hills» or «to Oak Grove» and figure out which way you wanna go before heading down the stairs). Sometimes people stand and wait right outside the turnstiles and follow you in, right after you’ve paid… that is kind of annoying. I don’t think there is usually any MBTA staff in the booth at this station.
Verdict: It’s a Meh station, for reals.

My experience was good. RMV is not a vacation spot for anybody, but this is my favorite RMV. I got there by 2:30 pm. I had already filled the forms online and printed them. Wanted to renew my ID So my wait time was more an one hour. If it is so, you can take your time and have lunch in nearby restaurants. It was crowded inside, but you could find a seat. When I got to the register, they were very fast and efficient. My entire time at the register was less than 5 minutes.

Train: The brown line is the other name for the orange line, that’s because the train half the time smells like fecal incontinence. The smell has gotten better since December 2012, however it is still strong for certain carts.
Seating: Even tho the seating is similar in the red line, the cloth material in some train seats is usually covered by drops of black or white debris.
Chinatown station: the station is relatively clean, however we had to use the elevators for accessibility. I was hungry for food before entering the elevator and the smell of urine was so pungent, I became nauseated right afterwards. It should be a public health quarantine!!!
This is the worst station for elevator smell. The second worst is the Prudential Center elevator and entire walkway.
Otherwise a decent train station with lots of homeless people in the surrounding area.

Pros: is orange, has benches inside, has an escalator that takes you up to CVS, is steps away from the RMV, is 2 blocks from Centerfolds, has a cool name, is never as crowded as Downtown Crossing
