M.A.C. Cosmetics

So This was my second visit to this MAC station within 2 weeks. Was not matched with the right foundation so I returned to have another MAC MUA attempt again to match my color. Just wasn’t happy with NC55 for my foundation.
For this visit an older gay caucasian man with a very short haircut (who is also a hairdresser on the side) greeted me and began to assist me. I asked questions. Shared tested methods. All in this I could tell he had no interest in really helping me. He walked away while «helping» me and was very blahza with me like he didn’t think I had the money or didn’t know what I wanted. On top of that he matched me with the wrong foundation while trying to convince me that it was correct. Told me…“well wear for a few minutes and shopping around if thats what you came to do and come back later” with his back turned as he walked to the caucasian and asian women who were looking around.
I walked away, gathered myself, and had the only minority (Rosemary) working there help me and I ended up buying products from her. I was about to buy more when he came over to act like he was helping. Smdh. He wasn’t going to get commission off of me.
Sigh.
I will be honest… I wasn’t planning on buying but that ahole hurt my feelings like I didn’t have the money so I wasn’t worth helping or putting any time into.
Horrible customer service from the guy. Amazing service from Rosemary.

I love MAC products, so this one star is only for your service. At first, I went to the malls for you, but as bad experience I got, I ended up with another brand next to you.

To the girl with red hair, please work on your customer service. And if you’re going to to talk about your customers. At least have the decency to say it after I have left. Nice of you to complain how I ask you too many questions. But if you haven’t notice, this is part of your job. you’re a makeup artist so yes– people are going to ask you questions.

I have been a MAC girl for years now, as my sister used to work for the company and brought me plenty of cosmetics to test out. While I normally go to the MAC stores, I had a Macy’s giftcard that I wanted to use.
I was in search of the perfect nude lip shade, and apparently that is no easy task. Thankfully, Jen, the woman at the Macy’s MAC counter was incredibly sweet and helpful. I ended up spending close to an hour trying out a bunch of shades, and ended up finding multiple colors I was pleased with. Jen was attentive and sweet, and even though she was the only one working, she made an effort to make sure all my needs were being met as well as the needs of the other customers.
Buying and testing out makeup is always a fun experience (who doesn’t love when someone makes your skin look flawless?), but I think the fact that the service was awesome made it that much better! I felt carefree and fun, and am looking forward to going on my next makeup shopping spree!

MAC has great everything. I am a big fan of eyeshadows and mineralize bronzers. And staff at Macy’s at Downtown is very professional and helpful. The only thing is they are out of my favorite eyeshadows most of the time.

I went to mac counter at Macy’s Northshore mall. The makeup artist who happens to be the counter manager did a very lousy foundation application, then ask me if I was going to buy it, when I reply «not at this moment» she just turn around and walked away. SO my experience was very was very unplesant. Poor customer service!

I’m a big fan of MAC– not just the product itself but the staff at this particular location.
First of all, the product. I don’t use all MAC products and I’m not obsessive about it however I am pretty specific in what I put on my face and I believe in investing in good products. I don’t love ALL of MAC products, but I am a fan of their studio shimmer powders, blushes (esp in blunt for a good bronze look), lipglass, and eyeshadow– plus their makeup brushes are great quality and super soft.
That’s really besides the point though– the customer service here is fantastic. The staff are really knowledgable about the product and makeup in general, and they are eager to help you find what you’re looking for, as well as give suggestions and recommendations without that underlying pressure to make you buy it.
They’re friendly and energetic and genuinely helpful which is really pleasant and unfortunately a rarity! I’ve been helped by two really nice guys there, one whose name I never caught (darker skin with a piercing under his lip) and the other whose name I believe is Glenn.
I will continue to come back here, it’s much more fun than ordering online!

I cannot say enough about this place. I’ve been coming to this location for almost 5 years, and the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, even if I’m not buying anything. Right before my wedding I stopped in to ask for tips on how not to look awful in the pictures, and Ricardo sat me down and applied a full face on me, explaining the whole time about the products he was using, and what I should avoid with flash photography. He spent all that time with me, yet didn’t pressure me to buy anything. Love it.

When I shop for makeup I almost always go high end. I don’t have a ton of cash to throw at preserving my sexy, it’s more out of necessity to keep my super sensitive skin happy. So let’s get down to business…
MAC can get expensive, I know. But my absolute favorite thing about this line is quality. You will not find a higher quality product anywhere — the packaging is perfect, the array of colors is unmatched by other brands, the product line is intuitive and modern — and that I am willing to pay tons of cash money for.
I have plenty of MAC items (shadows, shimmer sticks, gloss, lipstick, etc.) but on this trip I came in for a very specific item — blush. You know that gorgeous just-​stepped-​in-​from-​the-​cold look? Yeah, I went up to one of the make up artists and told her that’s what I wanted but was awash in a sea of cream vs. powder blush, the best brush, and the perfect color match for my skin tone. In about 10 minutes I was thoroughly educated and walked out pleased as punch with my powder blush compact in Fleur Power. It was $ 18 and worth every penny.
At the Macy’s MAC counter the service is excellent, the make up artists really listen and give you honest and practical advice, and you walk out feeling like a supermodel. Does it get any better?

I l.o.v.e. red lipstick. BUT I h.a.t.e. how it gets everywhere and rubs right off. So I decided, in honor of a big date with the GF– to go to the M.A.C. counter and get a little lesson on making my red stick, have a little help picking the right red (too blue or too orange and, yuck), and also to get a quality pigment.
All of the above were achieved.
I got three products for under $ 50 (lip liner, lipstick/​gloss, and eyeliner), I got a face-​ful that lasted me all night long, and I got a lesson on doing it for myself. I also (even though I got one of the very tanned straight girls– who was very nice) had both gay men working stop and ooh over me… which makes this girl happy.
Yay for the MAC counter!
