Logan Airport Terminal C

Not the best, not the worst.
Layout requires a lot of walking if you’re at a higher gate.
Security looked miserable on a Sunday evening; Precheck was $ 80 well spent.
A couple booze options post security (2 Boston Beer Works, Wolfgang Puck Longue and Legal). I’d definitely recommend Legal Seafoods though, excellent Bloody Mary’s.

Security through terminal C is normally pretty fast (less than 15 minutes) most days except for Thursday Evenings. There is also good places to eat prior to entering security as well as once you pass through the security checkpoint.
It should be noted that the construction in the check in area can make finding the correct counter a little confusing unless you are familiar with the set up.
The FSS agents are the biggest negative of this terminal. I understand that they are trying to help make the process more efficient by double checking people have the right size and number of bags, but its annoying to have to consolidate to walk by them just to unpack things again at security. (I like to keep my lap top and toiletries in a separate bag to expedite security screenings, but this isnt possible with the FSS agents and just creates a bottle neck once everyone gets to the xray belt.
It should be noted that there is a kids play area. In addition, many of the jet blue seats have outlets for you yo charge your device.

This terminal is almost brand new. For Logan it is probably the third best out of five. A and E being better.
They did add a lot of seats in the center section so that is a plus.
The negatives are most places do not seem to open until 5:30 am or 6. So if you are hungry or thirsty expect a long line when they finally open.

It’s an airport terminal… as expected.
I wish that there were better coffee options – Dunkin on one end of the terminal, Sbucks on the other.
I also wish there were a few more local highlights (ugh, Au Bön Pain? Why are they so ubiquitous? Aunt Annie’s pretzels? It would be so nice to see something like a chowder joint or local brewery or local chef open up shop). I love the airports that highlight the local color a bit more (Austin being a great example), but all in all it was fine.
The line to get through security at 7am on a Friday was long, but it moved quickly.

Arrived at 6 am on a Friday morning for a 7:30 flight. I didn’t have any baggage so printing out my boarding pass from the JetBlue kiosk was pretty painless.
The security line was massive. They have a lot of lines going so it moved pretty quickly. Annoyingly, they ask to see your boarding pass at multiple random unpredictable intersections while you’re in line, and I was rudely «hup hup hupped» by a guy because he couldn’t see the boarding pass in my hand.
I liked that they had a lady calling out for passengers for flights that were scheduled to leave soon so they could get expedited through security. I got through security within 30 minutes, leaving me an hour to spend chilling at the gate.

I walked past THREE DD’s in this terminal, which is awesome. Two of the «Express» variety and one of the regular full service. A few sit down restaurants, some grab-​n-​go, and several different restroom pairs. The one that I visited was clean, which is always nice.
A reasonable amount of power outlets exist, including some built into the chairs.
One minus — the heat in our far way corner of the terminal was blasting. It was flipping hot!
+1 for free wifi!

I really like the convenience this terminal offers. I do have a issue with the restroom at the entrance located on the right hand you have two stalls, thank god I didn’t have an emergency. Another great feature is the closeness of the car rental facility.

Great airport, great selection of food. Got my baggage quickly and rent a car not far away. Very good airport. One of the best!

The place looks like it has expanded through the years but the food court options were limited. We were informed by the lady behind the counter at Alaska Airlines that once we go through the gates, there are no food options for purchases so we stayed behind for a bit to get some food. The issue is we didn’t have much time to have a sit down meal at Legal Seafoods, so we had to refer to the food court for quick meals. They had overpriced sushi, overpriced burritos, Burger King, and Sbarro’s, it was so limited, we had to give in to Burger king. Meh.

I SAW MICE! Yup, that’s right. There I was chillin’ with my Dunkin Donuts, waiting to board my flight and I see not one but three mice scamper across the floor. So gross. I bet they have infestation problems at their restaurants too. I would not buy any food that wasn’t pre-​packaged.
Other than the mice issue, Boston Logan is pretty much a run of the mill airport. I was only transferring planes so I have no idea how their security situation is, but it looked really hectic and busy when I walked past. Inside the terminal wasn’t too busy. Having been to JFK and Heathrow it was a breeze making my way all the way across the terminal. Slow walkers and parents hauling little ones around were a non-​issue.
Bathrooms were big, plenty of stalls, and really clean. They have automatic flushers, faucets, soap dispensers, and paper towel dispensers. What can I say? I’m easily impressed. My flight was in the early morning so the lines at Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks were looooooong. They need to have more than one.
Overall, I wouldn’t mind or actively avoid coming back, but they need to get the mice problem taken care of.

The arrival portion was easy breezy. The departures consisted of long lines at jet blue with probably 5 out of 20 bag drops actually opened. Tsa was rude as heck. Ok food options.

Two Boston Beer Works! That being said, you can’t go to one if the other is full, because they’re through different security lines. They might want to practice cutting people off, because the lady next to us was hammered and wanted pictures of us to send to her boyfriend…
Staff were friendly, except the TSA agent who seemed like she had had enough at 7pm:
TSA: «are your pockets empty?»
guy: «yes»
TSA: «you don’t have any metal or plastic in your pockets?»
guy: «no»
TSA: «do you have your phone in your pocket?»
guy: «yes:
TSA: «thats plastic, put it in the scanner»

As far as Logan is concerned, Terminal C is where it’s at, but that does not make it a great terminal.
The JetBlue consolidation of the terminal really helped how much more confusing it used to be, which is a big positive. The food options are classic Boston fare, though somewhat lower quality, as you’d generally expect in a terminal. I never really loved Legal Sea Foods, except LX, but as someone who grew up right on the coast, I find the airport one to be generally poor and always uneven quality.
Unfortunately, security has historically been all over the place.
I’ve been scolded for not removing my iPad on the way out of Logan, then two weeks later yelled at for removing it at the same terminal.
After getting approval for Pre-​Check last year, they did not initially support TSA Pre-​Check for some time (and still don’t in Terminal A) and often bump non-​Pre-​Check people in front of you in the Pre-​Check line.
I will say that over the last 6 months, my experiences have been consistently better. Time will tell if that’s just luck or if they have improved the situation.
There is ok Wifi and a decent amount, but not great, number of plugs for charging your stuff. It’s a fine terminal that covers your base travel needs, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to say it exceeds the expectations of a modern terminal.

If this is the week you quit sniffing glue, then Terminal C is the place to go! Security was as easy as they make it. They have a metal detector as well as a 360 degree scrotum/​rectum enhancer to ensure that you’re not smuggling a dildo bomb or some other diabolical sex toy. Trojan man!
As far as food options, you’ve got two heavyweights: Legal Seafoods (get it — C Food?!) and a Boston Beerworks. If it isn’t fresh the TSA took it so no worries there. There’s also a Potbelly’s sandwich shop if you want a low-​cal tuna sandwich a 500 calorie brownie.
What else could Bostonians ask for in an airport? Larry Bird’s not walking through that door. Then again, he might — private plans are expensive. I have no idea what sense that makes, but my point is that as far as Terminals go, C is the place to be. «Surely, you can’t be serious!» Yes, and please don’t call me Surely.

Why is one of the domestic terminals so much nicer than the international terminal? It seems to be the fate of many an American airport. The food selections are really good (love Potbelly’s), seating is great, and the security lines were swift. It’s still ugly, slightly grumpy Logan, but everything was smooth.

Let’s be clear this terminal is literally fantastic compared to any of the other terminals in Logan (I’d argue it’s better than E, their international one). Anyone who dislikes this terminal probably needs to go visit terminal B which is a hot disaster compared to how well-​stocked this place is.
Outside the terminal, there’s a tiny food court with meh selections – though they are ethnic selections so if you want your Chinese or your Mexican best to eat out here before going through security. Security tends to be pretty busy since JetBlue operates a ton of flights out of Boston, but it’s usually pretty efficient nonetheless.
Once you’ve gone in though, that’s where the awesome begins. They have a ton of shops. So if you’re a hoarder or easily entertained, you could literally never get bored because they sell just about everything. Food wise, I’ve been getting a bit sick of the options, but there is a Legal Seafood, a Wolfgang Puck, Johnny Rocket’s, amongst some other American-​style eateries. There’s also Pinkberry, two Starbucks… I mean there’s really not much to dislike.
Depending on where you’re seated while waiting at your gate, there are usually charger ports all over the place as well so you can juice up before you get on the plane.
tldr; definitely one of the better terminals that I’ve waited at

Terminal C is dominated by three things as far as I can tell: 1) Boston sports pride (what other airport hangs its championship banners above security? The TSA agents must be bursting with hometown pride), 2) Dunkin Donuts (there are a lot of them), and 3) all things JetBlue. If you throw in the Legal Seafood that’s just past security you basically have all the quintessential Boston stereotypes between here and your gate.
But here’s what matters most: It’s the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving and I breezed through terminal C in a matter of minutes. Good work, Massport!

Clean and bright. Some good food options and shops. Security is usually quick. It’s kind of annoying that they sometimes send random people to the TSA Pre-​Check line, bogging that down.
If you’re at gates C40-​C42, there’s no TSA Pre-​Check.

JetBlue and Terminal C make TSA Pre-​Check Irrelevant
After spending $ 100, filling out a long online application form, and giving up 2 hours on a weekend for an in person interview, I expected to enjoy the convenience of TSA-​Pre-​Check and being a Trusted Traveler. Twice in the last month, I have tried to use my TSA Pre-​Check status at the JetBlue Terminal C at Boston Logan Airport and have been complete frustrated. Although JetBlue claims to support TSA Pre-​Check, when I presented myTSA Pre-​Check boarding pass both times I was greeted with a quizzical look and comment «We’re not really equipped for TSA Pre-​Check but we’ll try to expedite your security check.» Each time I was put in line with the rest of the travelers (so much for expedited passage!)
Now, the TSA Pre-​Check site (
) states that Trusted Travelers will not need to remove laptops, light outerwear, belts, shoes, and travel liquids. That is the whole point of TSA Pre-​Check to make passage through security less invasive but still secure. Well, each time, the TSA agent had no idea what I should be taking out/​off. They seemed to make it up as they went along and both times decided that I should just take everything out to «be sure». That meant taking off my sportscoat, shoes, belt, and one of the two times, removing my laptop.
It’s difficult to dissect out whether this is primarily unfamiliarity or lack of comfort with TSA Pre-​Check at the level of Logan Airport or the JetBlue terminal itself. Either way, it represents a waste of time and money for the travelers who dedicated the effort to go through the TSA Trusted Traveler screening process. It shows a lack of commitment to the customers who are trying to work with TSA to make air travel safer for everyone.

Vous êtes perdu? Né vous inquiétez pas, demandez votre direction a un des vendeurs ou personnels de l’aéroport, ils seront la pour vous aidez ET avec le SOURIRE! Rien que ca m’a fait oublier les heures d’attente dans cet aéroport.
Il reste un aéroport classique avec les habituels files d’attente pour passer la sécurité mais bon on oublie ça facilement quand tout le monde garde son sourire.
PS: FREE WIFI et des prises d’électricités en bas de chaque sièges qui sont en passant super confortables et grands… N’est pas LE Bonheur pour un voyageur en escale? Pour moi si !!
Bref in conclusion, si jamais je dois faire une escale aux US j’espère que ca va être dans cet aéroport !
