Beth Tucker, President and Chief Executive Officer, is one of the founding partners of KNF&T Staffing Resources, a minority-​owned and certified business since 1983. As President and CEO, Beth is responsible for KNF&T’s vision, direction and client satisfaction. The foundation of the company is based on Beth’s vision of providing a more consultative approach to identifying talent for client companies. Beth’s focus on developing long-​term, strategic partnerships with KNF&T’s clients for both their contract and direct hire needs has led KNF&T to become one of the premier staffing firms in Massachusetts. This place is completely useless. I can’t even get them to call or email me back to confirm whether or not I’m still employed there! And it’s not like I had some huge incident where it would be obvious that they wouldn’t be calling me again. On one assignment, I was complained about, but they gave me subsequent ones in which I did well (and at one, the guy I reported to said he hoped they’d see me again). Makes no sense. I’ve since worked through other temp agencies and been much happier with the assignments.

Where do I begin. DO NOT work with Nataly Moreno. She will verbally put you down, aggressively argue with you, will not forward your application, redirect you to other job postings that are NOT what you are seeking just to make commission. Absolutely terrible, rude and does NOT let you speak. I had questions about the post I was applying to and she said she cannot answer any questions I have and will not work with me because my education doesn’t count as making me a higher commodity in the application space. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an MBA. I graduated with high honors. I wanted to get into the legal space, with many internships and experience on my resume, she preceded to argue with me saying I am not experienced for a legal secretary position. After telling me «listen to me, you don’t qualify» … Etc. … I was shocked that a consultant/​recruiter could be so rude. She proceeded with I can’t work with your application for this position and I will send you a template to redo your whole resume so then I can consider you for others, and hung up on me. Terrible company, do not call these people, it doesn’t go anywhere. They don’t even take the time to listen you to. From the bat I couldn’t even get out the words «hi, how are you», she spoke right over me.

I had the pleasure to work with Nichole from KNF&T when I first moved to Boston in August. To start, let me point out that all staffing agencies are the same. They have set contracts with clients, they have candidate pools and then they receive positions with specific needs to match the two. These come in and out all the time. With that in mind, KNF&T is one of the companies that I was referred to by a friend. I met with Nichole on my initial visit, went over my resume, discussed what I was looking for, went over what they have available and went over some positions that KNF&T frequently have that I may be a fit for but are outside of my search.
Not only was Nichole respectful, she was honest about expectations and turn around time. When you are the candidate, you are always in a rush and wish you had a direct line of communication 24⁄7. It is necessary to be realistic since clients aren’t always the best at letting them know what the status is. Nichole found me a number of interviews relatively quickly. She was responsive and BEST OF ALL– when she wasn’t available there were people on her team to speak to so that I didn’t feel like I was bounced around from voicemail to voicemail.
The reason to reach out them above most is that they are genuinely placing you with Hiring Managers they respect. Nichole placed me with a remarkable manager who was bright and respectful. The salary was in the range we discussed and best of all, my hiring manager had an idea about my personality and work ethic before I started because Nichole took the time to tell her. It is always going to be a staffing firms job to fill the position, but with so many options out there– you will have your fit in the right door with them.

I’m not going to write a book here, (although I could about this place). The amazing positions they tell you about, never seem to be ‘real.’ When they do finally place you in a position, they try to lowball you. As an accounts payable person, at a KNF&T position, I saw that KNF&T was taking MORE than HALF of what I could have been earning! Cheapskates, and liars. Avoid at all costs. You’ve been warned… imo, don’t waste your time with KNF&T.

Great experience with KNF&T Staffing! As a result of working with the staffing professionals at KNF&T I was offered a job in my area of interest at an industry-​leading company in Boston. I have since relocated but left that role with fabulous professional relationships that continue to propel my career forward. I moved to the Boston area from another state in August of 2014. I contacted quite a number of temp agencies prior to getting here, and interviewed with KNF&T as one of them. Quickly, I was placed at a decent job at Northeastern. Seems like a pretty good agency, right? Not at all.
After that assignment ended, it was hell getting work with them, and miserable trying to talk to the representatives I was assigned. I was pretty open about jobs I wanted but was never offered anything even close… not even in the same ballpark. The pay rates were always far off as well (and I was being what reasonable, given what I had heard from other agencies). I understand that during the holidays, things could get slow, but it was ALWAYS ‘slow.’ Quite the business.
But the worst part of KNF&T are the representatives. Wow, were they terrible to talk to. I was hardly ever contacted about new postings. I always had to reach out, every week, hell, every few days, to remind them I was out there unemployed. They made what seemed like no effort, which is sad… given that it’s you know, their job. And speaking with them on the phone or through email was painful. They always seemed to resent me calling and asking about jobs. And if I were to turn down a position ($ 10/​hr for a reception role?! wow!), they took it as if they were personally offended.
This place is a joke. Go to Atrium. Go to John Leonard. Go anywhere else.

I was referred to Maura at KNF & T by a contact. I made contact by email. I heard no response. I let my contact know about the lack of response. I then received a voicemail from Maura only after my referrer had to contact her. I called her back and had to leave a voice message. I received no further contact. Unprofessional, especially seeing it was via a referral. These recruiting agencies are all the same. They should realize that today’s candidate is tomorrow’s decision maker on whether to use their services to source candidates in the future. Don’t waste your time.

Actually it was that exact business. I went there because I knew someone who found the same type of job from them. I wouldn’t bad mouth a company just for the fun of it. It was a few years ago. What i stated is exactly what happened. The company isnt all that great. I interviewed with kfn&t at the downtown location with an hispanic male. I gave my resume to him & filled the paperwork out & was told where to pick my uniform up. Why would I give my ss # and other personal info to a company & not be sure where I interviewed? Its not a coincidence plenty of other ppl think this agency suck. There are tons of past reviews. Read them.

I had the pleasure of working with Lauren while searching for a position with KNF&T. Sharing my experience might shed some light on the process for those of you that are job hunting. I am a newly admitted attorney and was hit with the pretty harsh reality that the job market is much more competitive than I was expecting. I was unemployed for a few months and had sent out hundreds of applications when I finally decided that I may need some guidance. I phoned a few other staffing agencies in the area first and was highly disappointed. I went in for interviews with the staffers and never heard from them again despite my numerous attempts to contact them. Finally I landed upon KNF&T’s website and went in for what I assumed would be another dead end interview. My experience was quite the opposite.
Lauren listened to my background information, gave feedback on my resume, and told me that she had some great placement ideas for me. Two or three days later she got me one initial interview at a fabulous Boston office. A week or so after that I had another interview for a position that was an exact match for what I was looking for. I got the job and started the following Monday. Over the course of my employment I made an error on a timesheet and expected that I may not receive a paycheck that week. I emailed Lauren and she went out of her way to take care of it for me within 24 hours.
This type of individualized client service is what sets this place apart from the others in my opinion. I would most definitely contact Lauren for placement services in the future and would feel confident recommending her to friends and colleagues.

I moved out here from the west and didn’t even know where to begin my career search. Gretchen was so awesome in helping me figure out options for employment and getting me prepared to go on interviews. Her and Jason called me the minute they had the right fit for me and got me an interview just in time. Shortly after, I was hired and Employed! Both Gretchen and Jason took the time to prepare me for my interview, understand the role I was applying for and gave me feedback before every meeting. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to get hired with a great firm and with a role that fits for them! Love them!!!

This staffing agency was an incredible disappointment. The company came highly recommended from two friends, and in early January I had an appointment with one of their agents/​recruiters. Though I was only scheduled to meet with one agent, I ended up meeting with three. All three had great things to say about my experience and skills, and after nearly two hours at their office I left feeling confident.
I was told that typically they receive a large number of positions from companies towards the middle to end of January, and to be patient and they should have something for me. I informed them that I was looking for something accessible via public transit, and a permanent position. The position I originally applied for fit this criteria, but they said they felt I’d be a better fit at other positions. I heard nothing back from them throughout all of January, and sent a followup email in early February. They indicated that they still did not have a position that would be a good fit, unless I wanted something contract/​temporary. It is now early April, and they have not once gotten in touch with me since that followup email.
As someone with an MBA and three years of marketing experience by, they should have something available to at least present to me. Instead, they dragged me along, and failed to follow through with anything they told me. I give them 2 stars due to their professionalism through the initial conversations and during the meeting, but their lack of doing any effective for me with their services is, again, a huge disappointment.

I knew that when I went in that there wasn’t a specific position, but wanted to get my details in the system and meet with a recruiter.
Checked in regularly with my contact. Finally in December there was a match and went to the interview for a position in which the client even said that they wanted an immediate start. However, after calling in to KNF&T with my take of how the interview went, I never heard anything back from my contact even to say, they went with another candidate.
I know that there are a lot of job seekers out there, however, have the common courtesy to let the people you sent on an interview know the results. Communication is supposed to be a two way street.
When choosing my staffing agency, I would be hesitate to choose them because of this.

Very lack-​luster, would go for weeks without hearing from Leah, not even a check-​in to say, «hey I’m still looking for you but it is slow for these reasons…» One office paid KNF&T $ 25/​hr for the work I did, yet I was always only paid $ 11/​hr, although I have a master’s degree.
Would not recommend.

I went to an interview with Leah one of the recruitment specialists at KNF&T and she was straight forward and didn’t waist my time at all. She told me that since I have recently come to the US I have to start from lower paying jobs and climb up the ladder. I told her that I would like to work in which areas and in which fields and she said she will try her best. After one week she sent me to an interview in one of the best hospitals in Boston on a temp assignment and the following week I started working there. 3 month later when I was reaching the end of my assignment she sent me to couple of interviews and I got a temp to perm position which I love.
I absolutely recommend KNF&T to everyone and I have to say that I met with at least 6 or 7 other staffing agencies in Boston but KNF&T’s staff are extremely professional and they work with many good organizations in Boston.

In December, I was looking for a job to bring in some income before attending school again in September. After submitting my resume to KNF&T, I had gotten a response right away. The next day, I went in to speak with several staffing consultants, who were quite helpful. Because I’m looking to return to school in September, it would be very difficult to find work because many employers are looking for employees who will stay longterm. Their solution was to find me a contract temp job, which they did and within a week, I was working. The job itself is mindless and boring, but I cannot complain.
The two consultants that I worked with for full time employment were extremely helpful and regularly checked in with me. They sent out my resumes to any positions that were in my field of interest and had opportunities to interview for other positions. Though I could not work my schedule around school and working, I would definitely come to these guys for future job searches.

Displeased with my job, I went to KNF&T. I’d been job searching for months off and on with no luck. I went in on December 28, 2012. By January 28, 2013, I had a job offer, which I accepted. I know this is atypical, but I am estatic!
Colleen was my contact there, and she was excellent at keeping in touch (even when I did not), and was very honest and vocal with me. I am very excited about my new job. I was looking to change career paths, and it is very similar to what I am already doing. If it weren’t for KFN&T, I would have never gone out for the job. It ended up being a great fit for me in personality and skill, and will help me make my segue later on.
If you are working with an agency, I do recommend being on top of things, but I also say be flexible. If it hadn’t been for KNF&T, I would not have gone out for a job in the same field. Yet, this is so much better than the job I held before!

I used the KNF&T agency in Westboro, MA and they are all rude, quite frankly. I was placed on «an assignment that’s temporary that has potential to go more permanent» which in staffing agency terms means «temp to perm.» First off, I worked there for 3 months and I had to call and ask when my hours had been met so that I could be considered for direct hire. THEY HAD NO IDEA. When they called me back to notify me, they said «You reached your hours last week.» Glad I was kept in the loop.
Next, they sent the contract over to the company I was working for. The company was taking a long time deciding if they wanted to hire me so naturally, I was getting concerned. I called and talked to my rep at KNF&T and she was just plain rude. I told her that something didn’t seem right and that I had a bad feeling about them hiring me. She told me that if she was going to look for more jobs for me, I would have to put in my two weeks notice and she won’t look for anything before I do that. So, going against my gut feeling, I didn’t put a two week notice and two days later, I was let go from the company.
I called KNF&T back when I was let go and asked someone other than the recruiter I was dealing with (because my recruiter had left for the day at 330pm), if they could start looking for more jobs for me. The next day, my recruiter called me and gave me attitude for talking to another recruiter instead of her. Since then, I have only been talked down to and treated poorly by this agency.
Honestly, my view is that if I’m working and a staffing agency is getting paid because I’M WORKING, they should treat me with respect. I will never use this agency again because their recruiters are rude, insulting and just plain terrible at what they do.
DO NOT USE THIS STAFFING AGENCY. There are 10 more in Worcester alone that far surpass this place and will treat you with respect.

When I graduated college last year, I signed up with KNF&T hoping to have some luck. I met with Amber and she was okay, but the overall experience was TERRIBLE. The receptionist, first of all, was rude and uninviting — and picked up the phone in the manner of a jaded version of the «JUST a moment» lady from Office Space. When I did meet with Amber, she gave me the option of a cold call temp job, which fundraised for cystic fibrosis, I think it was. I turned it down, not wanting to do cold calls for only a month… and then promptly got a job as a Customer Service Rep on my own. Oh, the irony.
…but at least that job had three weeks vacation and a snack room to ease my starving soul through each call. KNF&T, however, just had nothing to offer. Major fail.

KNF&T is well known in Boston as an agency that succeeds in the bait and switch.
When I was unemployed, I applied to numerous «job opportunites» that they listed online and was called into their Boston office for an interview. The recruiter sounded very excited over the phone and said I was THE perfect candidate for a specific role.
Upon arrival at their office in Post Office Square, suddenly all of the excitement died and that position that I was perfect for somehow vanished. They wasted my time and didn’t seem concerned about it. When I asked about what happened to the role, I was told that «it was just filled». The recruiter then told me that there are other roles opening up and that she would keep me in mind. HUH? So wait, I traveled all the way into town for NOTHING? And you couldn’t have called me to tell me the job was no longer available ahead of time?
After talking to other people who had applied for their «job opportunities», I discovered that this exact same situation, the bait (you are the perfect candidate!!) and switch (that role is no longer available) happened to them as well. Each of us is professional, college educated, skilled & polished — the kind of candidate that employers want — so being lied to by this agency makes you wonder what their goal is. It’s definitely NOT to help you find employment.
BOTTOM LINE: Avoid KNF&T like the plague. They do not have any of the «job opportunities» that they say they do. Any questions, send me a note and I’ll be more than happy to discuss it with you.
