How do you objectively review someone you seen for umpteen years? I initially chanced upon her when I couldn’t always travel to my favorite hairdresser (airplane states away) and then she became my favorite after trying so many other local salons.
She has seen me through short hair, medium and long — grey, blonde, white, and blonde. I love that she offers ‘organic’ color that is a bit better for me, her, and the planet. She is a great colorist and a teacher. I can favorably compare her to my experiences with Sassoon salons, local Newbury others, and my own favorite love in SF (ok, I miss her the most.)
And that’s the 4 stars.
Because I love my SF stylist but she has a closed list of clients and is accross a continent away.
PS. But Kimberly is much more welcoming!

Kimberly has been cutting and coloring my hair for just over a year now. She has recently moved to the Arther Harris salon at 222 Newberry Street. The space is comfortable and inviting and definitely suits her style. She does such a great job with me that I brought my daughter for a wash and blow dry. Something we will definatly do again. Her creative style and use of organic products will keep us coming back.

I’ve been seeing Kimberly for 6 years after a friend recommended her. She’s awesome! Fantastic colorist and best hair cuts! I’ve recommended her to several people, including my very particular boyfriend and they are all loyal customers now too.
The salon is very cozy and relaxing. You have Kim’s full attention throughout. She takes her time to make sure the cut is perfect and I have never been disappointed with the result. And she is a pro with all hair — straight, crazy curly and all hair types. Plus she’s fun to spend time with.
