I heart JA! Yes, this is a kooky and fantastic place. It’s not for everyone but it is for me. Having moved here from San Francisco, this store doesn’t quite compare. The space is small and a little weird but the products are the same and the employees are friendly. I want the hedgehog to add to my collection of JA animals. I don’t like stuff. Actually, I hate it. I am a serious neat freak and I don’t like objects that collect dust. So it’s kind of surprising that I love this store but I do. It’s funky, fun, and oddly classic. I feel like a house just isn’t a home without a little Jonathan Adler love.

$ 145 for a toss pillow? not the sort i would think of much less buy but a dear sis felt my apt needed color and gifted me a pair, with an okay to exchange (no cash refund: sad) for others more to my stark taste. which brought me to this Newbury St store i hadn’t known of before. definitely mucho choices plus a ton of pop decoratives for home. settled for something less pricey so now got store credit i don’t know what to use for.

Great store. Love the stuff. The staff is really helpful. They let me make orders over the phone with my credit card and ship directly to my house. Also, I have purchased stuff on the JA site and wanted to exchange at this store, which was also OK. Favorite recent items include: baby alpaca throw, baby lion needlepoint pillow, nursery rug, and elephant porcelain book ends!

I’ve been a huge Jonathan Adler fan since he was *only* a potter. I enjoy his design aesthetic and was thrilled to discover this store containing his pottery, home décor, furniture, lighting and giftware. I wish I could just pitch a lot of my furnishings and start from scratch here!
The sales staff was friendly and helpful. I left with not only my purchase but a catalogue to drool over.

I love this store. I go here so much on my lunch break that I have actively stopped myself from going sometimes because it’s just plain embarrassing that the staff sees me so much.
The store is small but they fit a good amount of stuff in there. They are also good about changing it up when new items arrive. Occasionally they have a good sale (especially on floor items). Every now and then they also have a flash sale which they announce on facebook. Overall, the store is expensive. Some items are really cool but WAY overpriced. That being said, you can get some cool/​unique stuff for your apartment for a fairly decent price.

So refreshing to see something DIFFERENT in the home furniture & accessories category. Super fun store. One BIG caution — they only give store credit for returns.

Interesting place for unqiue home décor and gifts. The style is very sleek, modern and some items are very colorful. I found the staff members in the store to be welcoming and friendly. Although I didn’t end up purchasing anything, I had an enjoyable time browsing and will definitely keep this store in mind for gifts.

A great spot for unique gifts and home décor within moderate to pricey budgets. Everything in here is chic with a sense of humor. Staff was stylish and pleasant and reminded me they were there if I had any questions, but not pushy, which I appreciated.

I was walking down the area of Newbury I’ve walked by 100 times, when I noticed this new, vibrant store seemed to be open out of nowhere. I wasn’t shopping, but it drew me in. From cool pottery, to fabulous designed furniture and bright carpets, I definitely want to live in Mr. Adler’s world — it’s so fun, funky, chic and colorful! I will definitely return to pick up gifts and am also coveting a chair in there.

I heart Jonathan Adler designs! For the past few months I have been walking by the storefront on Newbury, anxiously awaiting the arrival & opening of Jonathan Adler’s Boston store so I was thrilled to walk by the other day and find that it had officially opened. Hooray!
At first glance, you may have a bit of a hard time finding the store, as the storefront is a bit obscured by scaffolding and construction, but if you love well designed interiors and home décor, its worth your while to check this place out.
Jonathans aesthetic is fun, funky, eclectic, colorful and very chic. Walking into the store it was like an explosion of wonderfulness… color everywhere and tons of his signature ceramics, furniture, upholstered goods, stationary, house wares, gift items etc. Basically, I want everything I see and I begin immediately making lists of all the things I plan on buying or asking other people to buy me. It also occurs to me that it would be an AWESOME place to register, so I ask the super-​friendly staff if they have an in-​store registry and they kindly informed me that not only can I register with Jonathan Adler (omg! hooooray!) I can do online on his shop website (double freaking hooray!). This makes me quite, quite happy.
The two associates working at the time I visited seemed very knowledgeable about the line of products and also tipped me off that Mr. Adler himself (and maybe Liberace his wonderful little pup? but definitely his husband, Simon) would be in Boston next week for an event they were hosting. He is giving a talk at the MFA about design which unfortunately I can’t attend because I have graduate school class, BUT you better believe I will be visiting the store with the high hopes of a meet & greet with the myth, the man, the legend himself.
Anyone who loves well-​designed interiors, housewares, and a designer with a clear sense of humor (visit:
) should visit this store. You will have a hard time walking away empty handed and will likely thank me later as your admire your gorgeous lacquer box or fabulous new throw pillows :)
