Just stopped at James Perse store for the first time. The sales staff was very helpful when I described fit issues I try to avoid. Recommended items without pushing. Great place to shop. I will definitely be back.

I like the clothing, but I really do not need the attitude from the sales people. I wanted a pair of yoga pants that were sold out in my size online and called in to the Boston store for a size. I pronounced«Yosemite» wrong.(I know, it’s a national park and I should know that) and the girl did not let me forget it. She made a big production about how to pronounce«Yosemite» and then used the word like seven times in the conversation. After she failed to help me get a pair of pants in my size I actually found a James Perse rack in Marshals later that day and bought everything in my size for about 70% less than the store with 100% less of the attitude. Its a good brand, but I won’t be going to the store.

I’ve loved this brand since I first came across it in Malibu in 2008. I was first in line at the Boston trunk sale, and I was super excited about the Boston store opening. I first went in the day ofter my wedding. My husband and I had stayed at the Taj and we walked over in the morning. The staff was great and we got a few things. Fast forward almost a year and I went back in myself. They remembered me, and the occasion of my last visit, and happily and genuinely congratulated me on my pregnancy! They have helped me find pieces at other stores, and made great suggestions based on my style. They are the perfect mix of helpful and mellow. I highly recommend the brand, especially this location. Very zen style and flattering fits. I wear JP almost every day.

Love it. Let’s hope Boston warms up to this great designer.
