This place is a huge bang for your buck! Very comfortable and clean and the fruit and drinks make you feel very cared for. Best 30 $ I could think to spend on a random Sunday.

Very disappointed experience! When we went to our appointment, the staff told us the person we asked for is not in for some reason. I asked why they didn’t tell us in advance so we can save the 40 mins drive and find another place, she told me the manager doesn’t have my number, which is a lie. They asked for my number when I booked the appointment. Lastly, the staff didn’t offer any compensation for their mistake, so we just wasted 80 mins of driving back and forth just to be told there were nobody to serve us. Doesn’t seem they care about business much.

Made an appointment for 1pm and when i got there on time, they said they can’t take me because it’s busy for them due to mothers day. Who takes appointments and not honor it??? Absolutely unacceptable!!! When i said i can wait they told me they are fully booked till 5:30pm for mothers days. It took me an hour just to get to this place. Such as waste of my time. When i asked when is the best time to come the lady said morning times. I work in the mornings. What do i do with my groupon now? I don’t think they take groupon customers seriously. Stay away if you value your time. If you have the time in the world then you might be okay.

Tried to book via email. No response. Walked in as they say they take walk ins. Asked by two different people if I had a reservation. Tried to explain but their English was terrible. No avail. Best they could do was give me their business card. Very disappointing after walking across town to get here after reading predominately good reviews. So I wish I could comment on the service but alas the customer service just trying to book is woeful.

This experience far exceeded my expectations. Much more than just a foot massage. My neck, back, shoulders feel wonderful. Can’t wait until my next day off for pampering. Oh, they offer fresh fruit which was delightful and your choice herbal hot tea. Hanna, you rock!

The variety– back massage, reflexology and hot stones can’t be matched. The free fruit is a nice touch. I’ll be back.

Very pleased with my experience. Made an appt for a 60-​min massage. They provided fruit and tea (gratis), and the session started with a 30-​mins back and scalp massage, followed by a 30-​mins foot massage. Was a bit intense (perhaps it’s because this was my first spa/​massage experience), but to their credit, I felt amazing afterwards. The people were really nice. Recommend!

I went to the Danvers location. I scheduled my appointment over the phone and was clear that I had a groupon. When I arrived early a man just confirmed my appointment time, not my name or anything else and led me back to a room. The massage was nice, something I was thinking of coming back to and of writing a recommendation about. When I went to check out the massuse points to the pricing board… I told her I have a groupon. She asked for the bar code piece of paper. I searched on my phone and found the link for the barcode but when pressed there was some error message (nothing about it saying it was redeemed, nothing saying it had expired, just an error message about not being able to access the page).
So I asked her for an email address, she shook her head implying she didn’t have one. (if you go to their website there is no email address just a place where you can send them a message). So then I told her I would call her when I got home with the groupon number. She said NO very firmly. She then called another female employee over to us and a male massuse interuppted his massage to come from the back of the spa to the front desk with us, they spoke in their native language to each other. I showed all 3 of them my email from Groupon about this purchase, it had all information, the service, length of time, expiration date, my name, and a link to the voucher number (only it didn’t work). Since they had no email address to give me I told them they can take a picture of it. They didn’t want to do that… which I now am thinking even if I had had the groupon number then they probably would not have accepted it without it being on paper, even in our going green world.
Long story short, all 3 of them argued with me that for this visit I have to pay cash and that the NEXT visit I can use the groupon number. Very shady, I’ve never had a groupon merchant try to squeeze a full price service from me in lieu of the groupon as my first visit. They all followed me outside to my car trying to ambush me. I spent another half hour trying to explain the same thing over and over to them… after a while 2 of them went back in the store but one still remained and would not let me go respectfully.
Anyways, I called groupon on my way home and they were supposed to call them and give my groupon number. As a safety measure I went to their website and sent them a message through that way with my groupon number.

I am in love with this place.
Ask for a 30 minute back massage into a 30 minute foot massage and then thank me. So peaceful!

I am in Boston for the first time visiting my boyfriend while he is traveling for work. I have walked about 20 miles over the past few days, so you can imagine my feet/​body were in serious need of a good massage. I found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try, I am incredibly pleased that I did! I did not have an appointment and they weren’t busy so they took me back immediately. I chose the 1 hour massage for $ 45 which included fresh fruit and a beverage. It wasn’t just a foot massage, they started with the neck/​head and worked down through the arms while your feet are soaking in warm water. Then they move on to the feet and legs, even using a hot stone towards the end. I highly recommend Happy Feet Spa! They accept Visa and Mastercard but tips must be in cash.

I have seen God today.
I have been having a knee and foot sourness for weeks from too much work so I decided to try with foot massage. Booked on Sunday for Monday, and even found a groupon.
The place looked very calming, serene, spacious and quiet. I was served fresh fruit and green tea. They basically treated me like a king.
The guy who worked on me seemed very well trained and experienced and he put my every muscle and tendon in place. He worked extra hard and was extremely attentive and courteous. He definitely knew how to hit all the right spots to remove tension and sourness. I couldn’t make the mmmmms of pleasure because it would be awkward, but that is pretty much how I felt throughout the session.
When the hot stones arrived, I am pretty sure I heard my feet crying hosanna.
Needless to say, my knees and feet are well now.
I am not a spa type of person, but I feel I might do this again. Definitely recommending to everyone.

Went with my boyfriend, we each used a groupon. Called friday & got an appointment for saturday. It was wonderful. First of all, we got so much more than a foot massage. These people really understand that you have to address more than just one body part. The atmosphere is relaxing & serene. The guy that greeted us was friendly and funny. They don’t let language barrier interfere with customer service (other places in & around chinatown could learn from Happy Feet).
The massage was great. We both work alot, my BF does manual labor & is a rock climber, so it was a pleasure that they hit all the right spots. Both of us will come again & bring friends.
Tip these people well, & on the full price if you’re using a deal. It’s worth it & they definitely deserve it.

Thought i will give this place a second chance after last year lame massage by a lady that nearly felt asleep light rubbing my feet with no skills Whatsoever!

There are a few great masseuse here, the rest are REALLY bad. They don’t do the full routine & technique. I’ve had a masseur that hacked, coughed up phlegm (smokers cough) and belched the entire time. Yes, i’m serious.
I always book an appointment with someone who consistently does an excellent job. Once in a while they switch or botch appointments. Last month, my appointment was screwed up again. They scheduled me with a person I didn’t know.
When I walked in, they never confirmed anything, not even the duration. They sat me down and started. I asked for the person I made the appointment with, but she was busy. Now I share some blame for not immediately getting up & rescheduling. I ended up receiving a poor, half a** and incomplete service as expected. I found out after they were not even notified of my appointment.
I spoke to a «manager» over the phone who booked my appointment. I explained the situation. She offered an «extra 5 minutes next time I called». Considering appointments are getting botched, I requested it in a gift card or gift certificate instead. The «manager» wasn’t able to issue one. Therefore, they lost a regular customer.
* I DO NOT recommend Happy Feet if you are a walk in and haven’t been recommended to someone.

eh, i went randomly one day, after being talked into it, apparently the 1 hour foot massage is way better than the 30 mins… we did 30 mins for $ 35 then tip. they spent 15 mins on my body which i hated because it was really painful. i told her to go lighter but still i was wincing and practically falling off my chair… or stoll i should say. The last 15 was not that good… she didn’t really do a good job on my feet. my bf does better and he’s not even a masseuse! i prob won’t return…

Wonderful– similar to what you would find at a HK reflexology joint and with more privacy. !! I go here for a reasonably price hour-​long session every time I go to dim sum. They sometimes don’t have availability if you just walk in on the weekend, but sometimes you get lucky. I try to make an appt before just in case.
The therapists are all excellent — they start you off with a foot soak while they massage your neck and shoulders for ~15 minutes. This also includes some great shoulder stretches, similar to a Thai style. The rest of the time is devoted to your feet and lower legs. Incredible quality
Happy Feet also provides orange slices at the beginning :)

If your looking for a great massage, go there!
The place is clean and well taken care of. Also, you can’t beat the price
if you are looking for a deep tissue or relaxing back and foot massage.
My girlfriend and I went there together and we were both very pleased by the service
and professionalism.

Alright, I’m very confused fellow Unilocalians.
I read the reviews and was very excited to give this place a try. I’ve never had a massage before and I sit at a desk all day so I was simply looking for some relaxation and to work out the kinks I’ve acquired from a cubicle life. This was exactly what I wanted, fully clothed, no frills, so I went for it on a weekend afternoon.
The place was pretty empty but had there been more people the set up would have been more awkward. Chairs very close together divided by small hanging curtains. It was definitely no frills, which was totally fine.
As I said this was my first massage. I was brought to the back by an older woman who seated me and asked what I’d like to drink – thats the last time she said anything
She instructed me to sit on the stool and she walked away to get something then before I knew it she was behind me digging her elbow in my back. No warning, nothing just right to work.
She worked mostly my back and there were parts when I had tears in my eyes. She would do something to one side and I regretted that shortly she would be doing the same to my other side. Overall, what she did to my back was very painful.
I know this is a very simple massage, but she never said one thing the ENTIRE time. I think asking «is the pressure okay» is a reasonable request. Had she done so I would have winced my request to go lighter.
The work aside from back was relaxing. The head, hands and arm was far to quick though and believe it or not she was lacking pressure during those parts. I think it was because she was going so fast.
The foot massage part was nice, but I can’t say it was true reflexology. She was mostly just driving her knuckles into different portions of my feet – nice nonetheless.
Towards the end there was a lot of punching with a full fist. At which point I just wanted to go home. If i wanted to get beat up and regret my life decisions, I’d prefer to be drunk and at bar.
One very odd note another Unilocaler also said — the other guy who worked there was coughing up phlegm the WHOLE time. There are two bathrooms very close to where the massage chairs are and you can hear everything going on in there. Multiple times he went in there and you could hear him coughing and spitting. So incredibly gross. I almost had to laugh it was so awkward.
I felt EXACTLY the same leaving as I did walking in. Only difference is, I was upset I had just dropped $ 70 for nothing.
I woke up the next day incredibly stiff and sore. I also have a welt and bruise on my forearm – battle wound I like to think. Three days have passed and I’m still sore and not feeling any benefit.
Maybe I’m too new to massages to appreciate what I experienced. Maybe I should have just gone for 30 mins. Either way, I’m not going back.

You pissed me off, Happy Feet, and that makes me UNHAPPY. VERY. UNHAPPY.
I called on Monday to make an appointment for today, Wednesday. Someone had told me about you months ago, so I took advantage of a day off and figured that I would jump on that Groupon deal and head in. I even gave up what turned out to be the only sunny day in about a week as well
I arrive, just off the commuter rail, to find that the woman I spoke with NEVER WROTE THE APPOINTMENT IN THE BOOK. NEVER. WROTE. THE. APPOINTMENT. DOWN. So I had no appointment. I gave up my sunny day off, took the (sketchy) commuter rail for nothing, and THEN had to wait 1 hr 45 minutes until the next train from South Station.
Yeah. Once again, this makes me VERY UNHAPPY. VERY. UNHAPPY.
I called from my other phone which was at home, and the girl asked me what time I called on Monday; «I don’t know… afternoon… I spoke with a woman» was my answer. I couldn’t show her my phone (since it was at home to prove this call) but it turns out it was THE MANAGER I spoke with. EVEN BETTER! The MANAGER didn’t write down the appointment! However, if you, Happy Feet, are reading this and would like a screenshot of my phone, please message me so I can get that to you ASAP. Besides, even if I had the phone with me at that time, you still couldn’t get me in.
Idea: Even though I repeated myself on the phone and confirmed the date/​day/​time of my appointment, maybe they could call. Better yet, hire someone who just writes down appointments (now THAT is an idea).
Finally, I want my $ 13.50 for the train back. Seriously, message me because I want it back.
In closing: don’t make an appointment because it obviously just won’t happen.

I left here this afternoon as a puddle. Seriously, one hour at Happy Feet and I felt like a different person. It was amazing.
I did the one hour massage, which is very reasonably priced at $ 60. I called ahead just in case, but I could have walked in (this was a Wednesday afternoon). The masseuse gave me a drink menu and I got a tea, and then he brought over a cut-​up orange.
The massage was basically 2 parts, and you’re fully clothed: the first part is your neck, back, and arms, and I was sitting on this backless stool thing for it. That was a semi-​uncomfortable position, but what the masseuse was doing made it totally worthwhile. Then I moved to a chair and he did my feet and lower legs, which was incredible. I don’t know anything about reflexology, but man, it felt awesome. I kept almost passing out.
I’ve gotten massages for a lot more money that didn’t leave me feeling as completely relaxed and worked out than I did at Happy Feet. They really get in there hard, which I needed. And because it’s in the downtown area and there’s no changing of clothes involved, it’s a perfect lunch break escape from work when you need to de-​stress.
They say they prefer cash, but I paid with a credit card and it was fine. I’ll definitely be back.
