I was hoping to hire a designer to help set up our home in the area. During the initial meeting Jennifer seemed very competent, detail oriented and generally energetic. However after receiving the retainer fee, everything changed. Not only was there a lack of detail toward the project, there seemed to be an extreme sense of entitlement and grandeur. Very disappointed and was left feeling very unpleasant. Be careful who you choose to work with on something as important as your home! Appearances can be very deceiving.

We worked with Jennifer for about 2 weeks and were extremely disappointed. Her work was very sloppy. The original furniture plans using our old furniture for our new house made absolutely no sense. There were cabinets in front of light switches, some bulky furniture was placed into small spaces, there was even a glass coffee table in the baby’s room! My husband and I had to correct everything ourselves and asked her to revise the plan. It’s as if she was careless and did not look over and correct her assistant’s work, because I just can’t imagine a professional designer making such mistakes. Two plans later, the furniture plan looked ok and she was ready to pick out some new pieces which were missing in our new house. Unfortunately, the new furniture pieces she picked were extremely basic and did not really match our style at all. I actually took the time to send her multiple pictures of living rooms and bedrooms I liked but again, it seemed like no thought or effort was placed into the pieces she picked. We finally told her that we would not continue our relationship any longer but would be happy to pay her for the work that she did. She ended up charging us 150 $/​hour for about 30 hours of work!!! She basically counted the time spent on all the sloppy and careless furniture plans which had to be re-​done and then probably doubled the amount of hours that were actually spent on the project. Not only did she do a very poor job, but she was also dishonest and greedy. I would not recommend her services to anyone.
