Frank Shin, DMD

I discovered Frank Shin, DMD in the region I reside in. I am just so happy I discovered them. To call and make an appointment, although they had so many good reviews I couldn’t help. Throughout my assessment they could actually inform me what all was incorrect. I knew I needed it, even though i couldn’t believe how much work I would need. They helped me to setup a CareCredit accounts to assist purchase a few of the function I required. Being a university student I significantly value all they have accomplished for me and performed every thing they might to assist me obtain the function I required. I wouldn’t go elsewhere but right here!

EXTORTION at it best – u go in he will give a estimated of the work talk real nice– he expect half payment on spot .he doe the basic work first — when u live the place he charge your credit for the other half of the work and the work not done. He didnt bother asking your permission. During the second process. half way in –he said this to you. This is not gonna work out .u need this additional and that additional. and u sitting there in the chair with no cap or bridged dumb founded. Dont know what to. Even thought he got your full payment already Is like your pant is down and he is reaching for the vaseline. DO NOT – NOT GO HERE – HE IS A THIRD WORLD CROOK– his bedside manner is like a goat attending – tell u to shut up –talking to u as if u are a kid. The assistant was nice – but I think they are both in on it (EXTORTION). So again DO NOT GO HERE.

UNETHICAL and PAINFUL!!! I am shocked that Frank Shin has not had his license revoked. I wish I had done my research before wasting my time and money on him. I am a fellow Korean, and I learned too late (after Frank Shin overcharged me for his painful hack job) that Frank Shin has a terrible reputation among Boston’s Korean church community for overcharging Koreans and causing unnecessary pain. He’s fake-​nice to customers during the first couple of appointments, and then his acting skills fade and it’s obvious to see that he is really a rude, greedy person with poor dental skills.
Ironically after my terrible experience with Frank Shin, I went to a Korean hair salon, and I heard one of the customers complaining about the painful hack job Frank Shin did on her teeth. She demanded a refund from him and he gave it to her quickly — she said it sounded like he’s done this a lot before.
His dental skill set is not up to standard, and he has a TERRIBLE temper if you question him or express that you’ve been in excruciating pain for several days after your visit. I finally went to another dentist and he corrected Frank Shin’s mistakes at only 25% of the cost that I paid Frank Shin.
There are so many ethical, award-​winning dentists in the Boston area, and there is no reason why any self-​respecting person should subject themselves to the unethical and unprofessional behavior of Frank Shin.

Really sweet and kind man. They saw me within minutes notice. I had a broken infected tooth. Professional, compassionate… and yes, Patty made me feel a bit more comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. A Great team!!!

He and his dental hygienist Patty are super friendly. Don’t be fooled by his Korean last name, this guy is American, and graduated from Harvard Dental. He’s really chill when it comes to talking to patients, and he’s really good at explaining everything. I didn’t feel dumb when I had to ask him to define some terms for me.
I liked that after my visit, he offered a few options for my dental care, making me feel like an equal participant in the convo rather than just being talked at. And he’s really reasonable when it comes to costs too. His office is in a rough area, but his building is secure, and there’s free parking in the back.

Dr. Shin was great! He and his staff are friendly, professional, clean and… most importantly… honest!
