Factory 63

Factory 63 is a spectacular loft renovation! Courtney in management is incredibly responsive to requests, questions and constructive criticism. The first floor lobby even offers free wifi. This is the best priced studio in Fort Point!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I was initially drawn to this apartment because it’s a converted warehouse – high ceilings, brick walls, exposed beams, huge windows, etc. And yes, Factory 63 does have all of that, but all those things have absolutely no appeal when you consider the whole package. First, the ceilings are wooden and the units above you have hardwood floor, which means you can hear EVERYTHING. My annoying neighbor above me wore dress shoes when he walked around his apartment, so I could hear exactly where he was above me at all times. He woke up earlier than me and went to be later. It was unbearable. Next, most units with the same floor plan are located in the same spot on each floor. That means your bed is likely where the person above you has his bed. So if he’s getting frisky or he drops his phone on the floor in the middle of the night, then you will not be sleeping. Third, the management is total shit. Back when I signed the lease, 315 on A and Factory 63 were both managed by Greystar. Greystar told me – after I specifically asked them – that I would have access to 315 on A’s gym since Factory 63 didn’t have a gym. Fast forward a few months and 315 on A switches management companies and without even a one day notice, every Factory 63 resident’s gym access gets revoked. I, like a few people in the building, used that gym every weekday. If you know anything about Fort Point, you’d know that there is not a single gym in the neighborhood. I asked Factory 63 to either pay for my gym pass or deduct a small amount from my rent every month. Of course they refused and even said they’d be willing to fight it out in court. Christ. Avoid at all costs.
