Our firm specializes in professional appraisal reports and consultation completed to the highest standards. Appraisals are completed for many purposes including insurance, estates, donation, damage claims, and property division. We also offer a full range of art and antiques advisory services. We are fully accredited and a member of the Appraisers Association of America. All appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

History

Established in 2003.

Edward M. Stanley brings years of experience in the fields of antiques and the fine arts to the appraisal profession. He is a member of the Appraisers Association of America and is a Qualified Appraiser for preparing appraisal reports per IRS tax regulations, having met the Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice (USPAP) requirement, as mandated by the IRS for taxation, estates and charitable contributions. Mr. Stanley is a recipient of the Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Art and Antiques from the Rhode Island School of Design, and he holds Masters Degrees in Historic Preservation from Boston University and in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He is a graduate of the Winter Institute of Winterthur Museum and holds a Bachelors Degree from Bates College. A corporate member of the New England Museum Association, he is also a member of the Association of Historians of American Art, the Decorative Arts Trust, and the Furniture History Society of London.
