History

Established in 1999.

David Marshall Datz, P.C. opened it’s doors specializing in real estate law. Since then we have expanded our practice areas to include estate planning and business entity formation.

We have always had a presence on Tremont Street in the South End of Boston, but have expanded to include locations on Boylston Street in the Back Bay and Bradford Street in Provincetown.

We have always been very involved in our community and membership organizations. Most notable is our relationship with the Real Estate Bar Association, a statewide bar association sharing a 150-​year tradition of professionalism and excellence advancing the practice of real estate law; and Wealth Counsel, a nationally recognized organization of estate planning professionals.

Business Owner

As the founder of David Marshall Datz, P.C., David concentrates his practice in Real Estate and Estate Planning Law.

Mr. Datz is a native of Providence, Rhode Island. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Bryant University and his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston.

He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating condominium, loft and commercial purchase and sales agreements on behalf of both owners/​developers and buyers/​sellers. David also handles residential and commercial transactions involving the financing of properties and developments. He serves on the Real Estate Bar Association and is an invited member of its Conveyancing Leadership Council.

David is also a keen strategist who works with clients to optimize their planning in regard to estate taxation, gifting, probate proceedings and asset distribution. His personal focus is to create estate plans that meet the unique needs of his clients.
