Dartmouth Street Vision Center

I have been a patient at Dartmouth Street Vision Care for over 5 years and will continue to be! The experience is consistently excellent, year over year. The staff is friendly and hours are very convenient for making appointments and picking up contacts after order (or they will mail them to you). Dr. Sabree does a great job with the exam, taking time to explain each part of the exam and the results.

Just left my first appointment. It was fantastic. Everyone is very helpful and respectful of their patients time. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Great location with great times, I love the friendly staff and Everett is a very helpful and friendly eye doctor. They have an extensive array of glasses to choose from and they will work with any budget.

Dr. Sabree was so nice! He completed a thorough eye exam, and he was able to give me a sample pair of eye contact lenses. The rest of the staff is helpful! Super fast turn around for ordering contact lenses and eyeglass lenses.

I highly recommend Dartmouth St Vision Center. The optometrist, Dr. Sabree, is the best — I really appreciate how well he explains everything as he goes, and then always asks if you have any questions. He has the latest equipment, everybody in the office is very friendly, and it’s extremely easy to schedule an appointment using their online system.

Each time I entered the store, I was greeted promptly and warmly. The hands-​on service was remarkable. The staff took great care to make sure I found what I really needed. Once my glasses were ready, they took the right steps to make sure they fit my face properly and the frames were comfortable.
I’m due for a new pair soon, so I will be visiting shortly. :-)

I saw Dr. Sabree for the first time this past week and he was great. He took the time to explain everything before he did it (I especially appreciated his letting me know that no puff of air was going to get aimed into my eye by any of the machines!) and was very patient in answering my questions. He also recommended a new type of contact lens for my eyes that is WAY more comfortable than my old ones. This will definitely be my go-​to optometrist for Boston.
The office is conveniently located a couple of blocks from Copley Station on the green line, and office staff was really friendly and helpful. I didn’t check out the eyeglass frames, but that is probably next…

Dr. Sabree was great! He explained the process along the way and used a new tool to test for glaucoma that didn’t feel like anything, unlike the puff of air that doctors usually use.
The test glasses I tried on were amazing compared to my last pair, which made me have more headaches and, thus, I never wore. He understood what I meant when I described the feeling of my old glasses as I put them on and off and made corrections to my old prescription so both eyes were balanced based on the tests and our conversation. I’m happy to find someone who knows exactly what I need.

Dr. Sabree was excellent! He put me at ease right away and told me everything that would be happening as part of the exam. Scheduling and new patient forms could all be completed online, and they took me right on time for my appointment and had me in and out quickly. Great spot, will definitely be getting my vision care here going forward.

Dartmouth Vision Center is awesome! I was very impressed with the staff and level of service that I received. This practice reminded me of my favorite Optometrist in NC. I loved the small office. Everyone was nice, knowledgeable and helpful! I’ll definitely return to this office and I highly recommend them!

Convenient location. Super friendly staff. Walk-​ins welcome. My previous optometrist over-​corrected me and wearing glasses made me dizzy, but Dr. Sabree got me the correct prescription and is very knowledgeable and gentle. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a place! I came by a couple of days ago for an eye exam and an updated contacts prescription. Scheduling the appoint was a breeze; I did everything through an appointment management system online, and was able to put down three possible choices for date and time.
Dr. Sabree was very pleasant and thorough with my eye exam, taking the time to review details like length of time wearing contacts, type of solution used, amount of time I spent in front of a computer, etc. He was also was very patient while addressing my many questions. He also replaced the pair of contacts I was wearing for free, after hearing that they were two months old (oops).
The price of contacts are fantastic, too. I was quoted $ 185 for four boxes of Air Optix and a $ 35 rebate, which comes out to about $ 37.50/box. This is the cheapest per box price out of all the contacts vendors I’ve researched that accepts my insurance. As a reference point, Target’s price is almost $ 50/​box.
The exam itself was priced competitively, too. I paid around $ 90 for a renewed contacts prescription at Costco a couple years ago and received horrendous service. I paid $ 70 here for an eye exam and prescription for glasses and contacts, as well as fantastic service that I would have gladly paid more for. I do have some vision insurance coverage, so YMMV.
I will definitely be coming back for my annual exam, even if I was no longer working seconds away. By the way, the location is super convenient — it’s literally across the street from Back Bay station and right by an entrance of Copley Mall. It is past The Salty Pig, on the right side of the building when you’re on Dartmouth Street.

I have been a patient of Dr Sabree’s for a few years now, and I always look forward to my yearly eye examinations. Each time I visit, whether scheduled or walk in, I am warmly greated by the Dartmouth Street vision staff and Dr Sabree. I just went to Dr. Sabree for the first time and he was great. He re-​fitted me for contact lenses (which were poorly fitted by another optometrist) and was great about answering questions. Very helpful overall.

My wife has been going here for years and I was going elsewhere. I finally had Dr. Sabree give me my vision exam today. He’s excellent! He’s knowlegable, explains everything, and is thorough with the examination. My old vision place had me with the wrong curvature of my contact lens. He discovered and corrected it with a simple measurement of my eyes.
I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this place!

I called Dr Sabree’s office for an end of year eye exam and made an appointment for a couple of days later. The receptionist was very pleasant and easy to deal with — I was off the phone in about 4 minutes.
The in-​office appointment was also quick and efficient. There was no wait, just some quick paperwork and a no-​hassle eye exam. The Doctor and his assistant were both very friendly and helpful. They didn’t even give me too hard a time for sleeping in my contacts :)
Very approachable, down-​to-​earth, and easy group of folks in this office. Would recommend highly.
