DaCoopas Pizza and Subs

Waited 2 and a half hours for them to deliver it. Pizza was very very cold. If fresh the pizza I think would be good. Not worth $ 22 for cold pizza

Been eating here since i was 4! I remember ordering on the phone all i had to say was my street address and they already knew what we wanted. Im 21 now and live in lynn but i will still always come back to this place aslong as it stays standing!

Love me some dacoopa’s! They are very friendly and clean. The food this that authentic east boston taste I look for when I eat locally. The reason 4 instead of 5 stars I wish delivery was faster but in reality who cares about a 40 min wait time when you pizza that is amazing from the dough to the toppings these guys show love to every pizza and sub they put out.

Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza for the pats game one time. Was pretty good and they gave me generous portions of ranch which was nice. The delivery guy was also very nice. It did take awhile for delivery and this place is literally a 5 min drive away. So I’ll probably do a pick up next time as delivery takes way too long.

This is good pizza. It may not be amazing, but it’s highly unlikely that you won’t like it. Recommend.

Never once have i had a bad experiance, i basically dont even have to say who i am anymore as when Steve answers the phone he already knows.

this place has disappointed me lately a couple years ago the food was good but now its all went down the drain. I won’t even get a slice of pizza from there now this sauce is very watered down and their steak and cheese cheese is bland. They seem like they’re always very busy and they’ve done a lot of remodeling and updating to the place but I will pass save your money and go somewhere else

Hit this place about a half dozen times, and its been good-​very good each time. The chicken parm here is actually chicken parm, which suprisingly enough, is hard to find. They are actual chicken cutllets cut up to fit into a sub roll. It takes just a little bit of work to make that happen. Not the deep fried chicken fingers that conveniently fit into a sub roll with sauce and cheese on top. I apprecite the extra effort. Tuna to mayo ratio was better than most places. Not outstanding, but again, better than most. Thin crust pizza slices were good, not under or over cooked, service was very good. Could use a selection of regular sized bags of chips, not just the large sizes, but overall, thumbs up on this place for a good local sub/​pizza shop.

Updated review, like a previous reviewer, Scott the owner reached out to me to explain to me what he’s doing to try and improve delivery. I can understand sometimes how hard it can be to drive in Eastie so I kind of feel his pain lol. He offered to comp my next delivery which is very generous of him. Just for that customer service alone I will change my review to 4 stars. Like I said the food is deserving of it, but with his reaching out to me it says a lot about the man and his business.

Since the last review, Dacoopa’s has actually refunded me for the order I was waiting on as I posted. They also took the time to actually reach out and apologize, as well as clarify on the conditions the driver was dealing with (I admittedly saw clear roads looking outside and didn’t think much of it at the time). The fact that they stepped up and even reached out to apologize is enough to get me to raise the review, but the surprise refund was above and beyond and I never would have expected or demanded they go that far.
As I stated in the previous review, the food is deserving of 4 stars, and now I can say the customer service, which is a major selling point to me, is a solid 5. These guys are alright in my book.

Delivery might take a little longer than it should, but well worth it.

My delivery experiences with these guys have been consistently awful. I live a 5 minute drive from the restaurant, and in my 3 separate order occasions, their deliveries have ranged from an hour and fifteen to an hour and thirty minute wait time (projecting a 30 – 45 minute window).
In each scenario, we contacted the restaurant after about an hour for an update. Their tone was rude and flippant and their excuses questionable (twice they claimed to have an inexperienced driver, and once blamed it on «traffic» — we’re literally down the street!).
The food was hardly impressive either. The pizza was cold and on the dry side. Generous sizes, yes, but hardly worth the rude staff and ridiculous wait time. It sounds like these guys have earned a good name for themselves, but I can’t fathom why. I’d hoped the first couple of bad experiences were a fluke, but they’ve yet to earn anything beyond single-​star service in my book.

I haven’t ordered pizza from there yet, but I have been ordering subs from there for about a year now and they have yet to fail me! I always stick to the Italian subs or chicken finger subs and they are sooo good! This is a take-​out, pick up, delivery kind of place, not a sit down restaurant, just saying for those who didn’t know. Super friendly employees is always a plus! Also, they have a great deal: $ 5 subs on Wednesdays!

I ordered a large pizza for delivery. It arrived hot and was quite good. I especially liked the crust. It was crisp without being a cracker. I thought it was a good value for what I got. Being able to pay with a credit card over the phone was a big plus as well.

Margherita pizza is a must. The cheese on it is tasty, and I like the thinner crust. Not too much sauce. I wouldn’t recommend garlic as a topping because of a weird aftertaste. I give the sausage, mushroom and onion pizza two thumbs up. Delivery is also quick.

Good pizza and awesome $ 8 pizza deal on Thursdays! Highly recommend the margarita pizza! My roommates got the sausage, mushroom and onion pizza and said it was amazing!

I ordered a large Hawaiian and a steak and cheese calzone through the online ordering system. Both came quickly (about half an hour) and were hot. The cheese stayed put and didn’t slide all over the place. It’s pretty traditional pizza but has the sauce to cheese ratio right, good amount of toppings and good crust.
I will definitely order from here again.

Owner is striving to make dacoopas better day by day and is very in touch with his customers and I like that !

9 out 10 times Dacoopas messes up our order. We give special instructions and we get the food with the instructions printed clearly on the receipt but for some reason they are not followed in our order. Additionally staff who picks up phone is extremely rude, got hung up today. Such a shame bc they make a good calzone, but I think it’s time to move on.
