Similar experience to many other people here. Broke into the car to put the car in neutral and cracked up the box the gear shifter is in. Got the car home and noticed that the back bumper was damaged so I took it to an auto body and they told me that its classic damage from a sloppy tow with a flatbed. I contacted my insurance company and had them do an inspection. In addition I also had just had the car inspected so my dealership had a record of the vehicle having had no damage two days earlier. My insurance has been trying to deal with them for over 3 months and they refuse to answer and provide their insurer. Now I have to file a claim with the court in Southie in order to attempt to force them be accountable (according to the BPD). The cop in Southie was really nice and told me that I am not the first, nor the last to get the run around from these guys. BPD had a contract with them and ended it because D&D is so sketchy.
Avoid at all costs and encourage your local Southie establishments that use D&D to end their contracts with them for private towing!

Had a recent issue with my car and AAA sent D&D to tow it to my car dealership. The driver Chris was super friendly, efficient and helpful in discussion. It’s a stressful experience but I was happy all things considered.

After towing my BMW by the tie rods instead of the screw in tow hook that goes into the front bumper to properly tow this vehicle, they did over $ 4,000 worth of front end damage. Did I mention the huge dent I found in the passenger side rear quarter panel that cost over $ 1,600 to repair too? Stay far away from these hillbillies!!!

Supposively a contractor of the City of Boston. They got their tow truck driving around Dorchester literally polluting the air, spewing out all this filthy smoke.

I was ASSAULTED by the driver!!! I repeat the driver ASSAULTED ME — THREW ME TO THE GROUND when I went to get my keys and medicine from the car.
My car was being towed from my office building and while the driver admitted that I should not be getting towed he said he would not let my car off unless I payed him $ 75 cash since «He didn’t come down here for nothing.» He refused to give me a receipt and told me I had a minute to go to the ATM and come back. i told him I can;t get it that fast I need 4 minutes he said he is towing it now.
I went to open the door to get my medicine and house keys from the car when HE TACKLED ME TO THE GROUND! They then said that if I call the police they will say I assaulted THEM and proceeded to show me a cut on his shin that he would tell the cops I caused!
We have cameras at the office and are going to review them before pressing charges.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

A guy from D & D came to tow my friends car, someone who asked for the tow mind you, and could not have been any more unnecessarily rude. Seriously, was awful to the nicest guy I know and it was absolutely inexcusable. He was unknowledgeable, short with his answers, and came with a whole lot of attitude. We had a very simple service need, and he would not accommodate the need. I witnessed the entire thing and could not be more disappointed that the business is allowed to operate this way.

After 3 hours of waiting and still waiting, it is hard to give any stars but I will give them one just in case the driver is okay.
I just upgraded the review to 2 stars because the driver was really nice.

Called AAA for a jump start and they sent Chris from D&D. I only wanted a jump but he insisted that he test the battery based on safety and reliability. As he said, it’s better to know than to question whether the car would start again without a jump. Come to find out, the battery had a bad cell and Chris was able to install a new one in no time.

I had another experience with D and D and it was flawless. They came right away to help me start my car and diagnose my problem. Friendly, fast, and efficient. Maybe my first terrible experience was just a fluke!

Darcy and the hole D&D towing team were absolutely awesome! During the snow storm last monday my old focus died while parked in a snow emergency zone. I tried calling AAA but they couldn’t guarantee my car would be reached before the city started towing. I called D&D to explain my situation and they went completely out of there way to get my car towed back to their lot, held my car overnight for a completely reasonable fee and on top of that they worked with AAA so when the travel ban was lifted my car was towed back to my local garage free of charge. I can’t thank them enough for their help!!!

My car wouldn’t start on the coldest day of the year. AAA sent a team of two guys from D&D Towing. They arrived within 30 minutes, were very friendly and jumped my car ASAP. They were great! When I met them, one guy had just brought the other chicken noodle soup. So sweet! Thanks D&D!

Clearly Drug Addicts, which didn’t surprise me being behind Andrew Sq T Stop. Worst experience I have ever had, I feel sorry for you if you managed to get your car towed by them.
They also broke into my car to put it into neutral, which I guess they are allowed to do (?)… but they broke my Shift Lock button on my brand new car of a few weeks. The guy with no teeth on drugs wanted to fight, which again didn’t surprise me because he was clearly on drugs.
I will be making a complaint to the town, they shouldn’t be allowed to touch people’s cars.

Getting towed is a horrible feeling. My car was towed for street cleaning and I was not able to pick it up until early the next morning. Both the gentlemen who were on site were extremely professional and pleasant to work with! They did not give me hassle for paying with a visa and also did not charge me for the extra night of storing my vehicle. It took about five minutes for me to get my car back and be on my way!

Lenny from D and D towing was helpful and nice when he came to change my flat tire. He was quick and courteous. And he arrived sooner than estimated. This was very helpful since it was 1:45 am in a deserted parking lot v

Extremely rude. The clerk was too busy watching TV to recognise my presence. When she finally did, there was no please or thank you, and no receipt given. I actually had to ask for it. Super sketchy location. Super sketchy overall.

It seems most go through this company when their car has been towed from being illegally parked. That would leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth. But for me, I used this company to tow my broken down vehicle from a parking lot and it was the worst tow experience ever! They were all around unprofessional, from the rude woman taking the call to the driver taking nearly 4 hours to get to my car. If you like condescending people helping you deal with an already bad situation– call these folks. Otherwise, call someone else!

My car was towed due to my inability to properly read the street cleaning sign in South Boston. My fault. I’ll admit.
What is completely inexcusable is that D&D towing charged me $ 130 for having my car in their possession for less than one hour and for transporting the car 1 mile from its starting point. The city of Boston’s ticket I found on my windshield was only $ 40!
Out of curiosity, I called D&D to find out what it would cost to have a car (voluntarily) towed one mile to a repair shop, and I was quoted a price of $ 50. The City of Boston sets maximum rates companies can charge for towing a car. Any guess what that maximum is? $ 130.
While legal, this is, quite simply, unethical. Please avoid using this service in the future.

Southie drivers BEWARE! This company stalks the streets of Southie and WILL tow your car before the engine has time to even cool down. They got me and my boyfriend both this week, one during the day and one at night after the car had not even been parked for 45 minutes.

At the risk of being shanghai’d by the angry masses, I really liked the guy who towed my car. My car had two flat tires, so I called AAA. They said 90 minutes (seems like awhile, but I wasn’t the only customer)
