I’m pretty sure that the Latino woman working there that day thinks she’s paid to sit on her chair and read magazines… I wasn’t greeted when I come in… even though I walked by her twice, and she had no interest whatsoever in doing her job it seems… She completely ignored me when I asked for help. THREETIMES I had to ask her if they had a certain shoe in my size… she continues to ignore me while reading her magazine until I say to her«do you work here» and she responds with«we don’t carry anything above size 10». which was too bad since I did want to buy alot of their nice shoes, but I think she was full of shit and was just too interested in whatever she was reading, because other stores would have offered to order the shoes in my size.

I frequent this Faneuil Hall bad boy once a week. I don’t usually walk out empty-handed, because I find some necessary additions to my life. Lucky for me, my boy appreciates this impulse. Bring cash for the sale racks; I’ve walked out with Michael Kors boots, brazilian-made strappy sandles, and more off the $ 20 section. They are very up on the trends, more NYC-like than a lot of the Boston boutiques I’ve found, so I’m a fan!

I agree with the other reviews. I just got a pair of beautifully made and stylish German shoes here on sale for ½ price, and the staff are very nice.

I love Cuoio and have had great experiences in both stores, I usually shop at the Newbury one as its closer. I put on another great really comfortable, stylish pair of shoes today that I got at Cuoio and it made me realize that all the good shoes I have and love are from this store and in the 19 years I have been shopping there they have never let me down — I cant say that about any other store. Pat and the team on Newbury St. are the best service you can get, the shoes can seem expensive but when they last as long and are as comfortable as they are — it ends up being a good deal in the long run.

I must speak up for his place, as it’s amazing on it’s own, but as a non-chain in a chain infested area, it’s even more so. How on earth did I miss the $ 20 sale rack?! I have shoe radar. I have good shoe karma. Apparently this one went under the radar, for several years. Whaaaat? Must just be that this is no longer my work neighborhood. Aside from the sale items, which are fantastic, the quality of the product here is incredible — and they stock some of my fave brands — Fly London, Biviel. Whoever does the buying is doing a great job. Keep up the good work and hang tough amidst the chains.

I love this place. I don’t even care if there is an attitude sometimes as the selection is great — haven’t we moved on from Doc Martens(hint hint Berks !) This place is never fail when I’m in a pinch — IE. my flight is leaving the next day an I need a sophisticated set of kicks to stroll through Paris. Or I have to buy an accessory for one of my nieces(hair ties etc. I also like their funky eye wear. Yes it can be over praised but its a boutique not a CHAIN!!! and if you hit a sale you will score.

I’m going to go with the standard 3 star rating on this one because we’ll have to see how these darling pair of flats I just purchased on my lunch break hold up. This place is dangerously close to my work, and today I had an urge to go spend some money on myself. I had been in here once before and found the majority of the prices up to snuff with other stores that stock the same merchandise, which is generally pretty overpriced. BUT! When I came in today, they had the $ 20 cash only sale rack fully stocked with all sorts of delicious little ballet flats and sandals. While I realize that it’s almost time for cloth shoes to be taking a run for the back of my closet with the cold weather approaching, I’m also quite akin to keeping multiple pairs of shoes in my drawer at work. In fact, I have about 5 pairs of heels and one pair of flats and some flipflops so I don’t ruin them on the work commute and while I’m out galavanting in the sunshine, headphones a’blaring, sunglasses a’glaring. I left with a pair of tiger striped satin rouched ballet flats trimmed in black patent leather with leather toe plates. MyOhMy do they look ever so tasty on my tootsies.

I had a great experience here. I came in on a Sunday, and though the store was busy, the salesperson was incredibly cheery and attentive. I was truly impressed with the selection of shoes, and I found a super pair of booties on sale(by half!). I left with two pairs of shoes, and I love them both. I’d go back there in a second. In fact, I won’t dream of passing by without going in ever again.

Forget their regularly priced shoes. The only reason to come here is for the $ 20 sale racks/tables(CASHONLY). The shoes are not the best quality but you can get some cute stylish things here. The last pair of shoes I bought at the $ 20 rack I LOVED but they fell apart in about a month. However, for that month they were totally comfortable and stylish. I think the regularly priced shoes are all a bit overpriced(and I am questioning of the quality of shoes here). They also have an awesome selection of hair things. These are very high quality. I still have barrettes I bought here 5 years ago.
