Dawson Rutter is the Founder, President and CEO of Commonwealth Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, the largest, privately-​held ground transportation company in the country. Early hands-​on training in the transportation industry, coupled with an industrious, entrepreneurial mindset led Dawson to establish Commonwealth Worldwide’s offices in Boston and New York City as well an extensive network of global partners.

A native of Briarcliff, New York, Dawson’s depth of knowledge into the transportation business developed somewhat accidentally while working as a part-​time taxi cab driver during his college years. Dawson gained driving, chauffeuring, dispatching and operations experience that led him to leave college for a full-​time driving position, then establishing Commonwealth Worldwide in 1982. What began as a single-​vehicle company quickly grew due to his determined ambition, making Dawson the epitome of the modern-​day entrepreneur, with a self-​made success story to match.
